Rainy day continuously. If forecast is right it will be rainy day for a week.

I went back to bed and finished a book. Then took ddog out with a brolly. Just in front as far as his side yard running leash would go. Breakfast is made, just not eaten.
Fielded a phone call from hearing place. Apparently I need another voucher and they will send me the application. I've taken to suplimenting sound tv with subtext lately. The rain makes hearing tv difficult. Metal roof echoes it around. I was meant to get a recheck anyway, and maybe see a ent doc depending on results. And comparisons to previous years. Referral to ent will have run out.

Hmmmm. Time to start over. My life has been on hold all February while I worked on the services. Now I need to step away from the computer, give myself a shake and rediscover my routines.

Through this month I did do my dailies and and kept up well with the laundry. I did dishes some nights, dh others. Oh, and I kept the kitchen cleaned up (except for the table.) The bedroom level was cleaned most weeks, mainly because I have bad allergies if I don't. And I cleaned our bathroom regularly because 1) it is easy and 2) it gives me a lot of satisfaction and peace of mind for the amount of effort. Beyond that I've been pretty useless.

First challenge tonight is to vacuum and dust upstairs (skipped that yesterday.) After that I'll be able to hang up the load of laundry waiting to be hung up on the drying rack. Ironing should be done tonight too. Dh has had a bad cold for a few weeks so I need to do ironing of handkerchiefs.

Hi everyone! I am back from the animal org annual meeting. I have SO MUCH CAKE left. I wish I could invite every last one of you over to help me finish it off! On second thought, that is not such a good idea, because the scratchy throat and sneezing I had this morning seems to be developing into a full cold. At least I don't have a fever. I don't know if I will go to work tomorrow. Guess I should call XDH and warn him for DD11. I have been to the pharmacy and grocery store and put away a LOL. I have stuff to do: cook, box work, LR cleanup, sewing room massive cleanup. But I just don't feel like it right now. I should eat though.;

At the meeting, I found out that the kitten adoption fell through. The cat already in the house started attacking anyone who had anything to do with the tiny intruder! Nothing bad happens when an adoption falls through, the kitten will simply return to its foster home, having had an adventure. The speaker at the meeting, a dog trainer, talked about babysteps to establish a habit for a dog. Sounded like FlyLady. I have figured out a way to get more socialization for dFosterCat10. Her favorite hide-a-bed is now on my bed. Now she is seen more often and the other cats (who like attention) serve as demo cats.

It is windy and COLD outside and it may snow. My roof is partly done and I started in the most likely place for the leak. I hope I got it. I need probably two more weekends to get it done. I may call my mom tonight just to tell her I remembered dBrother's birthday yesterday.

Beautiful weather here today. This afternoon I worked outside almost non-stop for over 6 hours. My aches have pain. My pains have aches. I'm just a big ball of hurt. HOWEVER it is a good hurt. I soaked in hot bathtub and it helped to get rid of the worst of it. I planted 62 potatoes and about 300 onions. Plus roto-tilled 3 beds. Plus moved about a dozen bricks. Plus weed-eated about 30 minutes around the yard. I found myself wondering who needs an exercise program when you have a garden?

Scattered - Yes, LO always takes a vitamin daily. Thanks for the suggestion though. I've been told because he didn't attend daycare and gradually build up immunity against the germs kiddos share, that he is going to catch everything his first year at school. If that is true, I find myself wondering just how many strains of colds/virus/flu can there be?! Surely he is close to having them all!

I'm back!
After visit to dmil's, Wmart, supper @ Sonic, back to dmil's to deliver her groceries, and finally home to unload ours & put a load of laundry in the washer.
I am sooo thankful dh takes care of the majority of the grocery chores.

Tomorrow will be a long school day, w/a faculty meeting/baby shower afterwards, and then we have to do a funeral home visitation.
DH's step-grandmother. She was only 2 years older than dh's dad. Very interesting situation. DH's grandmother died when dfil was 11, I think. DH's grandfather waited until after dfil (his youngest child) married, and then he married this lady. So of course, she was the only grandmother dh knew, on that side of his family. However, dh's grandfather died before dh was out of high school, and this lady remarried, so dh wasn't all that terribly close to her. But we did see her when dh & ds played at nursing home until she got too ill to attend, and as long as her mind was good, she always recognized dh as family. We know all her "second" family, too, of course. Her second husband died some years ago also.

Thanks for the reassurance re: ddad/visit/etc, Twins. DH pointed out that dbro is just as close to them as I am and he hasn't made another trip out to visit.
Actually, I am hoping that by the time this next round of chemo is over, which will be around the time of Spring Break week, MAYBE by then they will allow ddad a trip home. That would be nice. OR... as you said, it may be that they will be planning the transplant by then and in that case, we will definitely be making a trip before school is out.

Mom has been called. DBrother was ill yesterday (his birthday) and was sleeping when I called. I am finally hungry sort of and will heat up a chicken pot pie. I have decided not to go to work tomorrow. There is nothing for me to work on and I am not feeling especially great. Tonight, at minimum, I will do some box work.

(I think Lynlee or Harriet or someone posted it here first! And you may have to explain who Winston Churchill was, too. It might not be worth it to bother with it. But I love the quote and thought it was worth repeating, LOL. Thought all Y'ALL Southern girls would enjoy it! I bet dd & her friends have some kind of slang term that doesn't quite hold up to research paper standards, too. Be alert and point that out to her. )
