Actually, this sat waiting and I've gotten the girls home now. At 5 or so I'll take them out for a bite at the mid-price Mexican and then to the healthy food store.

And then somehow it sat waiting for hours. Back from all of that.

I keep submitting without even enough time to check for more posts, and so it doesn't really submit. I'm too busy.

Hi everyone! TGIF!!! I have my list for after payroll and it's got a lot on it:

Buy cat food (special prescription stuff from vets only)
Knit/crochet group at yarn store (ends at 7:00)
Buy picture hanging nails
LOL
Clean out car
Pack donatables and put them in car
Shower, cat care, me care
Set alarm to EARLY for Saturday (I am volunteering at the animal org yard sale)

The weather does not look good for roof work Saturday, maybe Sunday? I have GOT to get that finished. I tried to place a prescription order, but the web page is not working. DFosterCat10 appears to have acne. This is usually associated with eating from a plastic bowl, but I use ceramic. This is the one that is least likely to let me treat her, but I will try topical antibiotic before anything from the vet. I am hoping I do not have another vet trip in my near future.

I have had a good day the mom had a play pen so I am able to use it for the baby N. [for Naomi] and this is going to workout so I'm on again for next week and have the same 9:30 - 3:00 schedule so that is good to know. Until June when school is out.

I need to store dgds mattress to make room for the play pen. They play well together. I have for gotten hot to use the car seat back facing. Need shoes coat and clothes for errand running for this one so will figure that out as we go along I suppose.

Chicks are going out to the coop this weekend. Four eggs today and one more hen on the nest as well.

Great weather here this week. I've been enjoying tinker bell movies this week and Thumbelina is playing now dgd is enjoying some movie time.

H. called and will be home in a bit.

Now back to spiffing up the house again kitchen is not quite there but I've been making progress on it trying to get it back as good as it was the other day.

First batch of syrup is done (we boil it until the final syrup is 220*F on the candy thermometer.) Unfortunately, I'm not ready for the syrup since I still need to sterilize the mason jars. They are boiling now.

The kitchen floor is going to need washing. Probably multiple times over the next few days. We've boiled all the sap up until tonight, but tomorrow the sap should be really running so we might have to boil again. It takes about 8 hours to do a batch so dh will now storing the sap in my canning pot so we can have 12 quarts or more to go before having to start boiling if we want to try and minimize the sticky in the house (the steam is even sticky.) We have the fan on and windows open here and the humidity only got up to 33% so it isn't bad.

We got 370 ml (~12oz) from 5.8L (5800 ml.) So we are still boiling down 15.7:1 instead of 30 to 40:1 so we are impressed. Dh just licked a spoon and says it is very good (I licked the spatula when we transferred from big pot to smaller.

Dh and I got the twin beds stored under the stairs in the storage room. I also got a picture of the pineapple bed and measured it because I couldn't remember if it took a twin or 3/4 mattress. The answer is twin so that means it might sell more easily. The estate sale people priced it at $195 so I have a price to put it up on the internet ($250 because it is 10 years closer to being an antique now!)

Dh emptied out two bookcases in the tv room of his books, sorted into keep/sell. He's being ruthless. I'll take care of boxing those up and box up my own as well, then we can finish off emptying out ds's new room (the bookcases from there go into the tv room and the bookcase in the tv room moves to my creative room which looks like a junk room right now since things we are keeping are being piled in there as well as all the stuff I had in the room to begin with.

We are off to bed now. My cold felt better through the day and hit me again at night. That's just what happened to dh for about 2 weeks with his cold.

H. & I revamped the coop when we did I found a hidden egg and a nest of mice! So pulled out all the hay from the loft area and cleaned the coop removed nest boxes. Changed the light to a heat lamp bulb. We have the thermometers out to check to get the heat set to where h. says it just right and okays it. Inside he was commenting on the chicks I'd not moved their light for a week.

I cleaned the waterer and put it up. I had purchased a roost a wooden dowel the thickness of a closet clothes hanger rod for 50 c. at a yard sale with holes in it already; so h. put the in a low spot for the chicks to roost on.

The feed will not go in until tomorrow when we put the chicks in it. We closed up the coop so the hens no longer have access to it. The were milling around wondering what all the activity was about.

The nest boxes were all removable so they are out in the run for now. The broody hen was taking some hits but last time I tried moving her and her eggs to a different spot she abandoned the nest so I just left her alone except to fend off some of the other hens. Taking note that they might be some in the next batch to cull. I will be glad to have the chicks out of the basement.

I got scratch at the store and saw a guy from church as I was loading stuff in the car trunk and he put it in for me so that worked out great.
I was glad to find it because last time I was there they were out.
