DId I not post this morning? Hum......I guess I was going to but never stopped to get it done. The DST made everything seem to be in a hurry.

After school I took LO to the ball park so he could run hit a few balls and run the bases. I wanted to show him some basics.....like which way to run after he hit the ball

Looking at Monday folder information. Oh my. LO teacher has scheduled 6 field trips plus a class party in the next month! I'm not comfortable with Mr 4 year old going alone, so I will sign up to be a chaperon on each one.

Is this normal? I'm making a long list of things to remember and dates to do them. Surely this can't be. SHEEZ how do parents keep up with it? Especially those with multiple children going multiple ways?

it took me over 30 minutes to read through 6 pages of information and make list of items being requested. Plus grabbing calendar and jotting event dates

Need to send to school ASAP -
** empty 16 oz or 20 oz plastic bottles
** Easter grass
** small toys & candy to put into pinata & for a pirate treasure hunt
** Supplies to make S'Mores
** Hollowed out real eggs to make confetti eggs
** money for concert tickets (field trip)
** money for film processing (scavenger hunt)
** book order
** decision on being chaperone for 6 field trips
** decision on helping with Easter party

When LO returns from spring break he needs to bring -
** chocolate syrup
** 12 filled plastic eggs

Also asked (not expected, but requested) to contribute Snacks and small water bottles for group each field trips.
Oh and don't forget to bring our own lunches for each of the field trips.

Hmm.... I don't remember long lists when my 3 kids were going different ways - or maybe I did make long lists and I've just forgotten that I did that! LOL! It sounds like LO's class is doing lots of fun projects that require parental help/donations/involvement, OK. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like he is in an excellent classroom!

Ooh, that sounds like a nice way to cruise, CathyS. Cruises haven't appealed to dh or myself yet but art does sound inviting. Somehow, Dh's father knew M.C. Escher personally a bit, both being Dutch and both being interested/working in math. He gave him an original print (numbered, one of so many) of one of his pictures. Dh's Dad has given it to dh, so it now hangs on our wall.

Hello all! I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday, the animal org yard sale brought in $1200!!! DD11 decided she wanted to have a friend for a sleepover that night, and that really made my life easy. They entertained each other and even got their studying done. Unfortunately, we missed church because of the time change. I totally blew that.

Tonight is errand night, but I have only one: pick up a prescription. Today I have not been able to keep my eyes open (normal for me after a time change) so I really should go to bed early tonight.

Left work early (at 7 p.m.) tonight. I usually leave early on Monday - I'm usually tired from the early wake up, and then the cleaning lady has been here so it's a pleasure to come home too. I'm going to take ddogs for walk in a minute, I don't know if I'll order a pizza later or not.

I've been weepy today over little things like stupid computers and not being able to find documents that I need. I think it's partly over the hearing about dsis, partly because I feel like I've decided that I won't continue to work, and I don't know what else. I felt weepy last night about missing my kids, which is weird for me. Maybe just overtired and overstressed. Need to start keeping a li%t to pass on at work of unfinished work to pass on at work since I don't plan to be there after 4/15 except to clean out my desk.

OKay - I'd regard all the things on the list as a "wish list", not an "essential need to bring enough for half the class" demand.

Twins - I think I hear your grief for your sister, about the life she is not having at the moment. Remember things do change with mental illness - that there may most likely be better days ahead. Just wondered - for me perimenopause onward for a lot of years - brought a lot of difficulties that seemed unsettled my mental health. I am really suspect of the hormonal influence for many women.

Harriet - I love those quotes you mentioned. I found a mention of that composer/musician/conductor/artist when I searched for the days quotes. I go looking before the day reaches US usually. And I do not read every person , or every page of those I want to quote. Its likely many notable ones I miss. There are many famous names I do not know also.
So many interesting/funny ones for Douglas Adams.

Last night I thought I'd done nothing, then remembered the hour in the yard, weeding and picking up.
I was wayward at curfew too - sat long at the computer, left dishes in a tangle, and read late without just going to bed and waiting for sleep. I need to jump back in remembering I am doing better than I was.

I have the wheely bin almost half full. Today is bin day. Maybe its a day to see what else I can fit in there. there is a lot of garden stuff ... and far back corner fence has collected a lot of flood stacked stuff. It is like a fishing net mostly knocked over in one spot.
I can see the difference made to the invasive singapore daisy this week. Its intensive fiddly needing to try to dig up every bit of stem/root or it grows again sending runners that root at every leaf pair. Another 1 x 5 ft strip today.

Hello again! I remembered to pick up the meds. I have run a LOL, done cat care and me care, packed tomorrow's lunch, updated Quicken, taken some holiday stuff from a box to the shed, and some but not all the maid prep. This afternoon, I signed up for Dinner For Eight-ish at church. A group will meet at restaurants just for fun. It is actually going to be 11 of us next week. Now, I am going to work on dNiece's doll dress and watch a mindless video. I expect to be in bed around 10 (I hope!).

Relatively productive day here.

Ds came out this evening so we talked a lot but also got his taxes done, the bills paid, he paid me back everything he owes me and is in good financial shape at the moment and I got the kitchen cleaned up after cooking dinner.

Add in the purses, physio appointment, an errand in town, a nap/rest and it wasn't a half bad day. I do need to vacuum at least the spare bedroom so I can hang up a load of clothes to dry.

Then I'm off to bed. Very late.

--- DS forgot he was supposed to be out of town this weekend, and ddil is scheduled to work. I'll have dgs alone Wed. while ds & dh go to ballgame... ds will have him Thursday... he will get here Thurs. night, dh will have him alone all day Friday, and then we'll be together to "tag team" it till Sunday. * whew *

Went to my parents' house
Came home & spent LONG time labeling their files and putting stuff in some semi-state of order.
--- I may not be labeling like dmom would, but at least stuff is out of envelopes, in chronological order. She should be able to find what she is looking for, at least. Business & personal files are mixed together for the time being.
Made list of all the stuff I have to do tomorrow for dmom... bank, post office, phone calls
And stuff I have to do for us... bank, (different than dmom's)... jewelry store...

I'm exhausted.

And dh thinks w/all these various bank accounts, dparents should not be making ds/ddil make payments to them for car loan. * sigh * I understand why dparents don't want to just "give" them a car... and ds has no ill feelings re: paying it like this.
Dh's parents are the type who would just make a gift of it and forget about it, though, and he cannot understand why my parents don't act the same way.
* sigh * Me & my big mouth. I was just talking, somewhat jokingly, about how I certainly hope they get some of this "consolidated" and simplified before they die!
I could NEVER be an accountant. TWINS, you have my deepest admiration.
