Working it Wednesday

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein

That definition has always been big in my family, we tend to be fraught with Insanity.

Last night I had a work event and there were several booths with ladies who had home business' like P ampered C hef, I ended up buying a couple of items from the P ampered C hef and a Jewelry booth, I then won a bracelet from one booth and the Hostess prize from the booth where I purchased jewelry. :D

Life is crazy at the new position... I know I am in a learning curve but shish it is frustrating... another busy day in front of me today.

Have a great Day villagers.

Good morning, villagers ~
It's Apron Day! :)
Trash and recycle bins are due at the curb tonight so today's goal is to fill them both.

Rain in our forecast here today.
I'm up have made the bed had coffee & granola bar for breakfast hens are out. Thinking what is next I've tossed the trash on the counter from last night trying to get on top of that and it seems to be helping! Yea for that.
Trying to decide if I'm going to town today. It's h.'s bday but we are not doing much today might later on --- kids could not get schedule cleared to do any thing for him on the weekend so when it's our age it's not that big of a deal how ever he is 60 now. ~sigh~ Glad we had a meal with dson & his girls earlier in the month we knew then that might be it for celebrating it.

The neighbor said he was going to call the Realtor next week I thought to my self good maybe he will finally get rid of excess barking dogs! They have four and make quite a racket even from inside the house. Our chickens come to us better than his dogs come to him!

And. . . .we have sunshine and clear skies today! How wonderful! :) I read a really interesting online article this morning about the weather patterns this March. (I like those sorts of articles.) They seemed so very odd, like the weather had gotten stuck, and indeed, the jet stream is at "a record position" (reaching southward, I believe) and this could be related to the state of Arctic sea ice (fascinating! I'd want to learn more if I had time - but I don't. . . ) and the jet stream is therefore taking longer than normal to move north? - or back to a more normal position - again. I had wondered if something was off with the jet stream, and so the article caught my eye immediately. But, the good news is, I think it IS moving, and we are warming up here. Finally.

My a.m .routine is almost done - just need to brush my teeth. I have also checked and paid online bills. I'm off to Tar-jay in a minute.

Dh is out of town for the day; he left for the airport at 6 a.m.

I think I'll go for a jog outside today. That would be so good for me on so many levels.

Searching the web for motel rooms. DS has decided to fly us to see family during May. Trying to coordinate visits to 3 families - each 300 to 600 miles from one another dodging around graduations, ice skating competitions, work schedules and various other complications. I'm not sure it will be worth the trip from the wear and tear on my body.

Yesterday was an R&R day. Slept in, took several naps and still did some cleaning in garage and sealed and polished the new counter tops and did dishes and made dinner.

Tomorrow, I will have man come to work on yard. I am getting tools together along with containers to hold plants I am donating and trailer where we are putting plants to throw. Need to make area to pile rocks we don't want.

Now it is time for S2sox and put clean dishes away. TTFN

Hey girls!

Frustrating day here dealing with L owe's on installing bathroom vanity. I was sort of using this as a test to see if I want them to do kitchen countertops. Not so sure now. However, I am encouraged that the second tree guy I called is coming out tomorrow. The first one hasn't called back, now that we rejected his quote and asked for a price on fewer trees. It's so hard to get anything done at this house.

Got a message from a third cousin on FB. She really cheered me up just when I needed it!

Next up: recycling, library, grocery store, thrift store donation...may have a good cry first!

I'm moving but stiffly today. Hip/glutes/back? are out and that's affecting the knee. Stairs are fine, but straightaways are hard on so I'm sitting right now.

Did get a box of books packed for dd so the remaining 6 boxes can be taken to the school. Still have more bookcases to go through but I'm getting stressed over tossing books right now so decided to take a rest. We did get rid of at least 50% of the ones we've looked at so far. But then again, these are mainly basement books so it is hard to judge, more important books are upstairs.

Did some emails as well. My goal is to get my inbox under 300 messages by the end of the week. I've been under 400 for over a week now. Yay!
