I love the idea of saving for Christmas - right now I have to save for dd olders graduation and now we have a car payment. But I do have to face the reality that Christmas costs so much. My spending calendar is working much better than keeping the receipts (I need to see what I am doing than having it put away)
breaking down my day: no cards even though I need to focus
I am still on the list as I am doing things that take me out of the card box.
9 to 10 am the exercise
10:00 to 10:30 self care
paper work done
next shower and do 2 errands
next get changed and caulk and tape

Believing you can accomplish anything is so much easier on a sunny day.
I can be a model of what happens when you don't stick to your cards. I you know I love my cards. It's just getting out of the habit and fighting to get back into it without that little brat saying "I don't want to".

my day is starting but I wanted to wish you a great day first
I started painting the family room and dh hates the color. it's a reddish martha stewart maine lobster on top and white trim. he is a white room no color person. actually he is getting worse about decorating.. he just won't let me do anything decorating wise without being cranky about it. oh well, He is a good man so I cant complain.
I have flittered about too long today:
copied two recipe out of the book I borrowed from the library that I have to return today.
went to grocery store and ordered the coffee. so that's done.
Blessed Ikwym about the decorating; here h. is like that too with color, our house is builders beige on beige [me sticking out tongue] not my first choice we did it for when the house was on the market and we got free paint from builder sil.
I'm sure your h. will eventually get used to the new color and think it's fine. When I did blue in our bed room it was quite a shock for us and it was not even that dark of a color but after a few weeks it was fine and seemed normal to us hang in there!
Trying to think ahead of what's for next week after the first of the mo. groc. shopping spring break more granny duty and I hope the weather is good! Yard work needs attn. h. will be working next Sat. so hoping I can get a good plan of what to do with myself then. Me time maybe.
I always say Christmas will not cost me so much this year, and then it always does. A good idea to decide in advance how much you will spend on each gift. My children and their spouses never realize how I try and try to find nice things for them, because often they are a variety of small things. I was thinking I should make a $ decision and buy one nice thing for each couple. But if I do, I may have to hint around and make sure it is something they want.
blessed, it is paint. It's not like you knocked out a wall to see how it will look. There's a lot to be said for a homemaker being able to decorate with enjoyment, because then there is a lot of happiness in keeping things nice. Maybe if he hears the compliments of others it will change his mind. We haven't decorated in a long time, so I admire you.
