Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.

Re: Sunday Songs
Good Morning!
LynLee - Thanks for the start today. BWTG on your establishment of Tiny Habits!
I woke up ready to get an early start on the day. I've prep'd ingredients for a batch of healthy muffins and have them ready to do the final mixing and then pop into the oven.
I miss following my hourly schedule which allots time to all areas so continual progress is made in each of them. I seem to have a hard time getting back on it. I suspect I need a huge dose of disciple applied. I choose not to have an hourly schedule from 5pm Saturday until 5pm Sunday, so saying I want to follow a schedule is "safe" because I don't have one today.
Similar to sitting around eating a whole bag of potato chips while reading diet & exercise books.
I am hopeful that I will follow through on my plans to restart both the hourly schedule and healthy habits at 5pm today.

Re: Sunday Songs
OKay - I understand the difficulty in getting back to routines after the whirlwind of family needs calling recently.
most of the tiny habits I'm trying are things attempted recently - just not quite getting to daily.
So this a push that follows intent ... knowing it is possible. Some days might need an adjustment depending where I am and what's up.
dishes, screens off curfew, lights off curfew, gardening were where I started.
to that I've added new ones - walking dog twice a day, and taking a couple of supplements in particular.
Going sideways and putting in 2 weeklys for starters.
As these settle - hopefully - I'll add either a generic "housework" or specific tasks per day of the week.
my day
tmeds
walk
church
read - a hoot - the garden of eden by "eve adams"
lunch
garden
walk
dinner
just home from 1st sunday night out in a while - stars magnificant when I got home to driveway. Still parking at far end.
next is dishes to meet deadline. Just took those sups, and ate a slice of gf toast I had no time to eat earlier.
goodnight all

Re: Sunday Songs
Grrrr,,,,just lost a whole long post! Good morning Okay & LynLee. I won’t even attempt routines here again until after gd goes to the youth ranch –a week from Tuesday afternoon (but who’s counting?). Any accomplishments are all too often undone by the very same. After a few months, it becomes discouraging. DD and I can’t wait to clean and have things stay somewhat that way. At least there won’t be stuff scattered everywhere on the floor and beyond.
Dh went to a lacrosse game with DS-R, DDIL & DGS8 last night. Sounded like they were having fun.
I’m up, showered, bed made, breakfast & meds done. Just waiting for my hair to dry to see if I can do something with it. Need a cut for sure. Trying a new shampoo today –hoping that helps.
I finally managed to get to this site on my new laptop last night –I have absolutely no clue what I did. Now I’ve probably messed something else up. I realized suddenly that when I went to Shesorganized it said Deeclutter. Wow! Finally. I had written a post but when I hit submit I lost it. After that I could get in but only to index pages. I checked connectivity and it said it was going in and out. Finally at 1:30am it dawned on me –I was using that out in the dining room near dd/dsonil’s bedroom. They have had trouble often with internet & cable co. finally put another router in their room with a different name than this one in the office. I was trying to operate there on this router in here. Too far I guess. But even here it’s questionable quite often. Like the post I just lost because it went to “unable to display webpage”. Now am typing in “word” –I should learn.
I’m almost ready for church –have to leave in 30 minutes. Taking my time this morning. Next weekend dd’s teacher friend is going to take gd so she may be able to go with me from that point on.
GD wants to get her hair straightened again (she is bi-racial and her hair is not like ours at all). Costs $70 plus tip to do it and dd told her she just can’t afford it right now –not with dsonil not working for nearly a year now. So she finally made a deal with gd –gd has some gift cards from Christmas and dd told her she’d trade. So waiting to see where that goes. DD really didn’t want to spend the $$ because gd will be swimming a lot once she goes to the ranch. At least this way it’ll be gd’s $$.
Need to finish getting ready for church. I’m up, up and away!

Re: Sunday Songs
Good morning, villagers ~
I've been in the kitchen this morning, moseying around putting things away and cleaning. Prepped so many vegetables to put under a pot roast that they would not all fit in the crock pot. I haven't cooked a roast in such a long time that I couldn't remember quantities. DH will not mind having leftovers later in the week.
I had already peeled the potatoes before realizing there were too many, so I ended up fixing a big one in the microwave for my breakfast and ate it with a little leftover chicken salad. To balance, I won't eat a potato for supper, will save it for lunch tomorrow instead.
Dealt with several Emails.
With a roast beast for supper, we won't have to go out for lunch. We have fresh bread for a sandwich.
Yesterday was warm enough to be outside, but dark and rainy all day.
We are supposed to get a bit of sun later this afternoon. I'll try to declutter the shed behind the garage then. Maybe DH will be in the mood for a little fire in the chiminea outside; we haven't burned anything since last fall.
I'm putting off starting the taxes until tomorrow. That's a job that is much easier to do when DH is not home.
I don't have any meetings written in my calendar for this week (yet). I should have several blocks of time to devote to dejunking the house.
Kathryn ~ I know it's hard to deny your sister a visit, but your priority right now is your own health. How in the world would you have the energy to take care of her? You would have to quit your job. Of course it would be different if she needed emergency care of some kind, but it sounds like she just wants a vacation. Who doesn't?
Dee ~ Asking your GD to "pay" for her extra expensive hair appointment by trading gift cards seems like a very good solution. She is old enough to start learning about budgeting for special things like that.
Blessedw2 ~ I like your new blog a lot. The meal plans you post in our Kitchen thread always make my mouth water.

Re: Sunday Songs
A phone call to dear aunt's caregiver revealed some gaps in their pantry, so what else is new, errands. Then after putting away a few things here, over to that house to check on things. Dear uncle is still not home and I am not surprised, although I imagine he has disappointment.
I really want to get in my exercising today. I'd like to do another load of laundry for dd14, and do our linens as well if there's time. I'd like to have a last-night-of-vacation confab with her to make sure she feels ready for 5 straight days of school coming up. There are just always so many things to gather, sign, stash, wash, read, study and remember.
Very much like the Chan quote and the Black quote.
Eyebrow power.
I will let the Chan quote inspire me to exercise today. Yeah, that's me, there.
Not to be funny, though, Chan deserves to be quoted andto be a role model.

Re: Sunday Songs
I'm finally going to try to get a few things done here at home...when I got up this morning I had a few minutes with the paper, then had to rush to get ready to go to a funeral. After the funeral, I met dh and our houseguest, K for a nice brunch, and of course, ate way too much. I came home, started a lol, then took a nap. I am so ready for tax season to be done!
Will try to write a little here and work a little, and perhaps use the newspaper as a reward. I think I mainly need to straighten the house and do laundry.
-reboot laundry
-make the bed (this is so I can fold laundry there)
-kitchen counter clearing and wash by hand some of the dishes since the dishwasher is down
-straighten the master bath

Re: Sunday Songs
hello, hellooooo (trying to sound like tigger)!
exhausted here for no reason. dh and I took dd to her volunteer work and drove around past our old house we grew up in and our old house we lived at which is now for sale. I drove 150 miles all together! then we took dd to her music practice and then finally we just got home 10 minutes ago. I am exhausted and dh is full of vim and vigor (he is washing the dishes, bless his industrious soul).
Dd is dizzy again and not feeling too well and I (well I am sitting on the couch and I am going to read... stamping foot and saying "Well there that's just how it is"
wishing you all a great afternoon...
I will say individually later on... but wishing you all a wonderful day and evening.

Re: Sunday Songs
We've nearly finished up the first page here...what a quiet day in the village.
I'm done with last round, and dh took house guest to airport. House is looking a little better. Going to finish with paper, then....
-reboot the laundry
-refill meds containers
-what else?
