((Macs & Twins)). Hope there's nothing more serious wrong.
((Elizabeth)),hope your arm heals quickly.
((Blessed's dd)).
((Kathryn)).

I really want to be effective, but I can't say I have been lately. :( I'm trying to do extra cleaning out drawers, closets, etc. And I try to keep up here, reading posts, but then I have something I want to do, so end up reading in bits and pieces, and I don't remember some things to respond to.

Today dh mowed the back yard; I went out just as he finished and did some raking. Got a few piles of leaves raked and will get those picked up in the next few days. We still have some of the bags of pine needles to put out with our trash bin, so will add the leaves to that. Our trash pick up is on Mon. mornings and they have been taking 4 or 5 extra bags for the last two weeks.

I've also gotten sidetracked on a FBook page with lots of old pictures and information about Pittsburgh, PA, my old hometown.

We had a nice weekend. Saturday ds#1 called to say they wouldn't be down because dgd11 had an event at school. It was good, though, because ddil#2 posted that she had helped set up the castle on the h.s. football field for the Dunedin Highlanders Mil. Tattoo. So we decided to go to that. Dgd18 played the drums this year for her band. It's always a really good show...the high school, middle school, Dunedin City Band, dancers from an area troupe and a dancing group from Canada, also a representative from sister city of Stirling, Scotland were here. They played/sang the national anthem of Canada and Scotland as well as the U.S.A. During the closing ceremonies all the bands join together to play and march as a massed band. Oh, and they had the Second Time Arounders based in St. Petersburg perform also. Next weekend will be the Dunedin Highland Games. It will be a fun day if the weather is good! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dunedin- ... 8866642574

Cowinkie, your adventure sounded scary/exciting. I'm glad you are all right! I couldn't see the 2nd video, but liked the first. This is just the thing ds#3 likes to do.

Good for you Lucy. Ddil#2 posted this morning: "I guess I shouldn't whine, cuz we're down to 39". Every morning she makes up a little rhyme to count down the days she has left in school!

Supper is done and cleaned up. I made a large chef's salad for me and fixed dh a bowl of wheat chex with fresh banana and strawberries. He's tired, so didn't have much appetite.

P.S. OKay & family...stay safe! Yea for the good news for dh!

Day is done. I actually left my meeting early because I was so tired and it was a 30 mile drive home.

Nice lunch with friend. Picked up books for the book table. Went shopping at thrift store and bought two purses (one summer, one winter, neither practical, both inexpensive), a wool suit (blue pinstripe, blazer and skirt - blazer is a bit big, skirt is a more than bit small but does at least go on, but for $10 I couldn't resist), one pair of stone-coloured capris (my old pairs are worn out but were bought used so I don't mind that they only lasted 2 years.)

Went to Walmart, supposedly for a coke and some baked cheetos but ended up shopping for clothes and picked up a large number of suitable tops and a pair of blue capris.

Heading for the presbytery meeting which wasn't suburban as I thought but very urban, across from Rideau Hall (the Queen's residence when she's here.) Therefore, I had to cross the city during rush hour and put up with only street parking. I ended up walking a long distance with my load of books.

Good dinner, not bad meeting and the library books were looked at and 4 taken out (a record!) I've been attached to a committee but my job for them will primarily be the library.

Came home in just 38 minutes because there was no traffic.

Have dealt with half the email. I have a webinar tomorrow to train me as a facilitator, plus physio in the morning for an hour.

I'm off to bed now but will do most of physio before going to sleep, including icing.

Hope dMacs is feeling better (he's why I checked in before bed.) (((Elizabeth))) sorry to hear your limitations. Cowinkie glad you are safe! Really, really, glad you are safe!!!

HI all. I survived Chuck E Cheese with no crochet. I had a nice talk with XDH's other woman's x-husband while x-mil was with DD11. I was never sure if he knew that our exes were together. He knew before either divorce happened. That is a relief. I was always afraid I would say something that would hurt him. He probably had the same thoughts about me.

Today was so cold I turned on the heater again! Just yesterday, I had all the windows open because it was so nice. Tomorrow, I need to work on my payroll document and type the minutes and notes for the animal org. It is a busy day for me tomorrow. I have lunch with x-mil, x-fil, and dd (and XDH if he decides to come). After work, I pick up one of my foster cats who spent a few days with someone while I had the ceiling fixed. (She needs to be isolated from the other cats temporarily, but I had a temporary hole in the ceiling of my 'isolation ward'). Then there is a meeting of the animal org.

Thanks for the sympathy on my arm. I will survive two weeks with no crochet. In fact, I will make more progress on the database work this way. Also, since I won't be staying up later for 'just one more row', I should get to bed earlier. However, I am SO glad I have finished the doll dress for my niece!

ETA: I just updated Quicken. I have to make sure not to write any checks totaling more than $59 until the 15th. If I do, then I will have an extra transfer and have to pay a fee. Fortunately, all bills are paid, groceries are purchased, and I have cash too. Now, I am going to clean the catbox, put the trash out and go to BED!

Well I'm back to the other schedule of granny duty. The other granny is ready to have some more time with dgd#3 again so she'll have Wed. and is now adding Fri. I'm going to have dgson go to his dad's on Wed. so I get one whole day off on Wed. and do not have to worry about getting home before him if I have errands or a project going. Dgd will not be here late tomorrow. Fri. off will be good with the baby N. here on Fri. not having to pick up dgd from preschool will be good.

Today went to the garden store and got some more tomatoes and
couple of marigolds today that was fun. It was such a nice day. Tomorrow we are supposed to have 30 m.p.h. winds and p.m. showers. :( I was hoping to get some gardening done.
