DD just left for work. I've been awake since 3:30 and am barely navigating now. Wishing I hadn't told dsisil that I'd come over after taking gd to school. (6 more runs!) Actually I drop her off to get her hair done at 3:30 (waiting there for dd to come just in case something comes up she can't get there), Tomorrow I take her directly to dd's school to go home with dd's teacher friend. She'll be there until Sunday after church. She has really been getting worse. Had dd in tears last night and me yesterday morning.

Took gd to youth group last night and dd had relented and went to pick up a school friend (think she only has 2) but there's slim pickings. This girl lives clear on the other side of the city and it was rush hour and the air show is going on (and we had to drive through it all). Then of course had to do it all over again when they came out -got home at 9:15 last night.

Been watching the four horses in the pasture next door all winter. One was taken to Ocala a few weeks ago to foal this month. As we left last night saw a back hoe over there. Seems the most spirited one jumped one of the fences Tues. and broke her leg. Had to put her down -was so sad to see them.

Wonder when gd will decide to get up. We have to leave in less than 25 minutes.

Got some more things packed yesterday. Looking like we can't leave before May 18th. Now to find a flight back for dd. Dh doesn't want me driving up alone -though I can do it.

DD took my new computer with her today to load word. Then I really have to learn it.

Guess I best finish getting myself ready -like getting coffee.

I'm up and moving around. Waiting for the exercise bike.

Slept better with the melatonin last night than I had been but not as well as the previous night so having the clocks stopped didn't improve things any. Got to bed early but took over an hour to fall asleep. I'll restart the clocks and not try that again. I suspect the striking of the hour is offset by the ticking, one startles me, one soothes me. Without the ticking it must have been harder to fall asleep.

We get our winter storm after midnight tonight, so today will be an ok day for driving. I'll stay home and work on paperwork and scrubbing the kitchen floor. Now that the boiling is over, it desperately needs a good cleaning. I didn't see the point when we were handling the sap/syrup. I'm thinking of moving the kitchen table out and putting down shine as well as just cleaning. That hasn't been done for well over a year.

CathyS - Welcome Home! I hope your cruise was a good one.

My body is fighting off a cold and not feeling 100%. The weather has been all over the place (dropped 50 degrees in a couple hours) which probably isn't helping. However, I totally enjoyed having wet, wild and wunnerful weather. The local lake levels/water tables are so very low. A local town just implemented level 3 water restriction (can't serve water in restaurants, no swimming pools filled, no car washing at residence, all outside water discouraged but is allowed once a week during a 8 hour period, etc).

Today has 4 scheduled events (requiring me to be somewhere at a specific time). Otherwise, I'm going to stick as close as I can to doing cards assigned to each hour. I totally agree it might sound over-the-top weird, however I think of it as a game that starts fresh each hour.

Good morning! Not off to my good start today as I'm on this machine too early, but that's OK. I'm leaving in 40 minutes for moms group.

I have 3 scheduled events today (I like that term OK!
8:45 - 12-ish moms group, including set up and clean up
4 - dd17 appt. with ped. endocrin.
6:45-ish onward - Thursday dinner crew here. All 4 are planning on coming!

Between the time I get home from moms group and then leave for the appt. with dd17, I'll have about 3 1/3 hours at home this afternoon. I'll need to start the crockpot during that time, maybe exercise, and get in some card work.

Oh, yes, hugs are valuable today, Lynlee. Now I definitely get it about ddog needing you to either find clothes or prepare new.

((Dee)) You're probably already gone - but I was going to suggest just telephoning dsisil and letting her know you can't make it. Oh, so sorry about the neighbor horse.

No, OKay, I do not think it is at all over-the-top to have assigned chores for the hours. I used to do something like that before my ddad moved in and before the new school schedule. It was probably a more general concept of
1st hour - placing my Morning Daily Card (which takes an hour) at the TOTH top of the hour following my return from school run,
2nd hour - then an hour of 15s: 15 break for breakfast, then 15 declutter, 15 cleaning Focus area, 15 outdoor.
alternate 2nd hour - I also went through a period in which after breakfast I had a 45-minute Round Robin beginning with Focus area, then finished with 15 declutter.
3rd hour - There were some magical times I managed one more planned hour without interruption, alternating laundry with exercise.
I would also try to time Afternoon Daily Card, but it was less likely to be managed the same every day.

My ddad is totally on his own schedule, though, and it varies every day, so I don't keep that up. Also I am not so fresh as a daisy with this high school bell schedule. After school run I tend to sit down and blink.

I have the train times off the website. Tomorrow I'll see dd1 and dgks 13 &10. city hall renovations are open, and I want to see at least some of the other half of the asia pacific exhibit. I think it is shortly due to close - though I may have that wrong.
rain continues where I live, though its been fine in the city. hoping dd 's renovations go as planned. tomorrow theres jackhammers for down stairs footings. Sandstone - so it'll be noisy. It can be a swamp under if there is a lot of rain. So hope they fix all that.

I realized just before getting into bed last night that I had forgotten to roll the trash bin to the curb. I took the trash out to the bin in the garage in the afternoon, but that was too early to set out for the truck. No, I did not go out in my PJs. Luckily we didn't have much trash this week so there's plenty of room in the bin for another week's worth.

Dishes are soaking in the sink. I have eaten an orange and am now nibbling on leftover stir-fry veg and rice.

Must run several errands this afternoon. I've made a date with DH and a friend to meet them after work for burgers, so that's a time reference for the driving route. Need to set up my tote bag with water bottle, various coupons and other things I'll need to be out of the house for several hours.

Ah that reminds me, must put cell phone on charger for the morning. BRB
