Re: Satisfied Saturday
Today I am going to a baby shower - in fact, need to be heading out in about an hour. I stopped off yesterday to buy a gift on the way to temple and the darn store closed at 5 p.m.! So I'll get there this morning before heading to shower which is at eleven.
In the next hour I still need to walk ddogs and get myself ready.
After the baby shower I am heading to dmom's to see her and go through meds with her.

Re: Satisfied Saturday
Ah, great questions, Twins. I actually don't feel like I had a busy week, but I'm looking forward to catching up on the house and catching up with friends today. We host small group tonight. I feel caught up with my family, more or less.
It is sunny out! But temps are cold. We got a very light dusting of s**w last night, mainly on the roofs.
I've been up for about an hour and have finished paying bills and prepping them for the mail. Have checked emails. Nothing happening there!
My day:
- a.m. routine
- groc. store; I didn't go yesterday
- cleaning in preparation for small group
- cooking in preparation for small group. I'm keeping it easy - throwing a couple pot roasts in the crock pot and a bunch of potatoes in the oven.
- dfriend A may stop by to chat, not sure if/when that would happen
- exercise?
- small group here 5 - 9? or so
- Hebrew translation work for class tomorrow night
Next:
- get a.m. routine going
- get to groc. store
- get pot roasts going soon

Re: Satisfied Saturday
Good Morning!
Twins - Thanks for the Interesting question to start the day. I don't have an answer so I'll need to ponder it.
So far today =
** set up script to automatically pull the daily data gathered by fitbit and log it into spreadsheet. The charts on fitbit.com are nice, however I wanted to download the data and have options to look at data in a variety of ways. (without joining fitbit premium service)
** sprayed Round-up along rock pathway and some of the fence line
** Got LO into his baseball uniform, gathered bat/ball/glove/helmet and arrived at the baseball field …….just to find out today's game has been cancelled due to recent storm.
** Visited with DMIL and Dmom on phone.
** Coordinated today's events with DGS15. We are celebrating his birthday a day early. He has requested that we spend the day together doing all his favorite things …..shopping, eating, video, movie. So…..DH will keep LO today while I'm gone having Special Time with DGS15.

Re: Satisfied Saturday
Morning y'all...
I woke up early and was full of energy. Watched a smidgen of news to catch up on events, turned the tv off and by 7 was working away. Seveal loads of laundry done, bottom of my closet found, all footprints picked up, doggies fed, kitchen cleaned, bedroom cleaned, and now I'm headed to my office to be locked away for hours while I get it back in order. I really want this done, so it's not a big deal.
I have some outside work I want to do as well, but it will still be there waiting on me if I don't get to it until tomorrow. Having my home in order makes me feel satisfied. That's why I went to the expense of having my "girls" clean my house for me while I was working. It was a special treat to me and it made Me happy.
Waving to y'all...Hi ho, Hi ho, its into my office I go.......listening to easy listening music today. Got it turned up...Music always makes my day go better. Cy'all........

Re: Satisfied Saturday
What makes me satisfied after a busy week?
Since I'm in the middle of about 12 of them (possibly more, think of this as my tax season) I don't really have an answer about after a busy week. But in the middle of things, I get a sense of satisfaction of coming across a couple of things well-done. For instance, all the ironing is done (avert your eyes, Harriet!) so I know dh can choose whatever outfit he wants for tomorrow. My outfit is also laid out.
My kitchen counters are looking very clear and orderly right now. And the kitchen table is now 90% clear so it looks good too.
The kitchen tap is still dripping, though. This will be the third cartridge we've got for it over the years. It is a Moen tap with a lifetime warranty and the cartridges are free (it doesn't use a washer) but it is a pain to pull the tap apart and take it in to the store to get a new one. So I have a rag in the sink to silence the drips.
I'm about to make a HUGE mess in the dining room, though. I still haven't started the year-end accounting.
It is 11:16 and I'm still in my pjs. The last two days of overdoing it on the treadmill have set my knees back and stairs are back to being done one at a time. I need to use the bike for 5 - 10 minutes, ice and physio. Then get dressed for the day. That will take me to lunch time.
<forgot to post this>
Did ice, then some physio, some exercise on the bike and more physio and icing. Then I s2s.
Have started laundry and swapped out the towels. I'm trying to think about what to have for lunch now.

Re: Satisfied Saturday
I forgot to add something...
MT...I too have very dry skin, ya think living in this desert must have something to do with it? Anyway I've tried every lotion and hand cream on this earth. I've slattered on olive oil, coconut oil, arrgon oil, just about anything you can think of to keep those darn itches away. If I can't get Sweetie to scratch my back in one of my fits, I use a hair brush or fork to get to those hard to reach places.
The other day I tried something new...its the new Spray and Go moisturizer from Vaseline. I thought what the heck whats one more product that will end up under my sink. I liked the idea that I might be able to use the spray to do my back by myself. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the results. I use it twice a day and when I wake up in the mornings my legs don't feel like sandpaper.....that was the first thing I noticed...and my back is not driving me nearly as crazy from the dryness. Plus Sweetie can spray my back for me without getting his hands ucky.

Re: Satisfied Saturday
My skin is dry-ish in spots, especially in the winter - especially my hands. However, it is still oily in spots too. I am starting to get wrinkles but still get pimples too. Ergh. The worst of both worlds??
TaDas!
x post office box to mail bills
x groc. store shopping through to put away
x roasts prepped and put in the crock pot; the pot is very full - I'm going to test to see if they're cooking OK in there.
x brunch with the family
/ a.m. routine is about half done. The dw is running, though, after the waffle-making dishes and the mess dd17 and friends made last night and didn't completely clean up.
3 hours before small group. I'm going to:
- finish the a.m. routine (make bed, teeth care, and update laundry twins)
- tidy living areas
- do my vacuuming chore; I'm not sure which part of the house I have.
BBL, I hope, to ci.
