Puppy pick up time: 10 a.m. on Saturday. Then, the breeders have made an appt. for us with their vet, so straight to their vet at 11 a.m. This is really happening. I may try to post happy baby dog pix here when I get them. Of course, there are many other photos I said I'd post that I never got around to doing, so no promises. There will definitely be some on fb.
Is that the DD I met here in MI, MT? BTW, when are you coming through again? I've had a very low-key spring and it would be fun to see you and Mr. MT again. Maybe I'd have a puppy in tow! Ha! Probably not. . . .
Done: a.m .routine progress - still need to finish unloading dw and stripping the bed. I have written out the necessary checks. I'm now off to run a couple errands, post office box and then Tar-jay. I have a pretty long list for Tar-jay.

OKay, my youngest grandson had had a lot of respiratory illness and ds28 and ddil were advised by their pediatrician to add Wellesse Vitamin D drops to milk or juice for him, one tsp (500 IU) daily. American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 400 IU for infants, increasing to 600 IU after the first birthday. The ideal would be to monitor the level of Vit D, but if there's no other reason to do a blood test, of course you don't want to stick a little one. But if ever he's going to have to have blood taken the dr could just order the D test as well and cause no extra trauma. In absence of that, you could ask what the dr recommends for his patients as far as D supplementation. As we continue through the spring and can get some sunshine, respiratory illnesses will wane because of that source of Vitamin D as well.

Today Tues. I've been tending our chickens. Good news bad news re: dgson and school he seems to be adjusting well to the walking routine his mom drops him off at the main road so it's about 1/2 of that distance for him to walk he's been getting there on time and home only 5 min. after the bus comes. He gets an allowance for being on time not my call! LOL! Spelling is great got his assg. all done yesterday and no reminders & no prob. solving slips [behavior probs.] but ~ sigh ~ he misplaced his math packet so will not be able to turn in a weeks worth of math.
There is always an excuse I forgot it the teach did not give it to us I can't find it --- this weeks challenge I suppose. Seems like one subject is good and another goof up some where else. Getting your ducks in a row is a challenge! Put we are seeing improvement so trying to focus on that.
At least he can climb trees and play the neighbor kid could not as well because he's packing extra wt. so the walking to school is a great thing IMO! Too bad this neighbor kid can't walk home w/ dgson it would help him. I do not see them outside much. Sorry this turned in to a book.

And you were right i was doing some eldercare, Unfortunaly she passed away in Nov. she had fallen hitting her head which resulted in a blood clot on the brain. So right now all i am doing is yard duty.
One of these days i will start doing better about cleaning, anything and everything is dirty . when i get up from this chair i need to start dishes. then put clean laundry away while doing yard duty in between.
One sixth of today's goal is done. Finding problems all over the place. The latest is that my new version of Windows doesn't support the Help function of the software so I had to install a patch. Sigh... Then the Help function showed me a 21 step fix for the mistake I made. Since the mistake involves just pennies, I'm ignoring the mistake!
Home from walk with ddogs and dcleaning lady is here. I need to try to stay out of her way so I think I'm heading upstairs to work on the bonus room for awhile... Call for help if I'm not back in the village later.
I have a 3:30 p.m. appt to get the apnea mouthguard.
Well.....I forgot to post this. I probably made a bigger mess upstairs but it's progress. I need dh to finish putting together my desk now, and probably need assistance moving the old desk and some other things to garage.

Helia, good luck with new puppy. We shouldn't ever have pets here. DH was good with the dog sitting we did here, taking them out first thing in the morning when he got up hours before me and sometimes filling a food bowl...but I noticed that slacked off toward the end. I was surprised just how interrupting-to-the-schedule all the walking was for me. I didn't mind it, it just seemed never-ending.... I'd have a cat but DH is allergic.
Dee, don't you think DGD NOT adjusting well is a good thing? Last time she was away she hid her behaviors and apparently didn't make much progress. I'm thinking if she acts more like she usually does with her family, they will be able to identify some of the problems and deal with them.
Cowinkie, the river float sounds like a lot of fun. I'm glad your DSon is doing so well.

I use Udder Creme a lot. It is the best. I've never used bag balm, but it's supposed to be just as good, though can be staining more than the UC. I've used every moisturizer known in the US. This one is the best.
I'm working on the piles of papers. I've got all the new health ins. stuff organized, though I seem to be missing a policy, I can only find the drug one, not the main supplement policy...and I'm hoping I didn't pitch it out. It's been unbelievable the amount of paper we've received since the first of the year when DH got 6 month's away from Medicare. Anyway, now that I've got this much organized I understand it all a little better. And I'm not so stressed about it all.
Whites laundered today. The bin I keep them in was overflowing. All outside drying now. Not a bad start to the day. DH is out seeing customers and finishing a job. I have a church meeting tonight.
Puppy ramblings: Yes, I'm expecting to spend a lot of time puppy-watching, to be rather tied down to the house (maybe out for 3? hours), and to not get a full night's sleep the next month or so as I will wake up to take the puppy outside. It's bladder will not be very big. We still remember Pepper as a puppy, so we're not looking at this with rose-colored glasses. However, I am having an unbelievably laid back spring. I don't have too much going on right now, though I might be teaching at the moms group in 2 weeks. . . . Also, I REALLY like animals, always have, always have had a small menagerie around me if possible. I probably have shared here before, but I started out as a pre-vet student undergrad years but changed my major to please boyfriend at the time who didn't want to be married to a vet. One of the dumbest things I ever did -- but shows my innate desire to please others, which I've been learning to balance with my own sense of self as I've gotten older. . . . . Nothing like a bit of psychology thrown in with puppy ramblings. LOL!
(That bfriend was NOT dh; he would have loved for me to be a vet! --Except, he now says I might have found it a bit boring in the end. I'm not sure, but the question is moot.)
I've done my errands and had some lunch. I'm off to tend the laundry next.
Cowinkle - Congratulations to your DS!! That is a huge accomplishment. Thank you for the insight into teachers world. I will seek an opportunity to talk to Principle about the behavior in hopes that snipping it in the bud will stop it from growing.

Harmony Our company does business in the US so we have to file US tax returns. There is a tax treaty so we just have to declare the income but we don't pay taxes, we claim treaty exemption and pay on the US-earned income in Canada.
I'm s2s and have had lunch. My old pastor sent me an email to call him so I did and we talked though the mess with the current minister. He gave me some ideas and I followed up on those before showering. He's like me and blocks unpleasant stuff from his head so had forgotten we went through his Bell's Palsy together. When I mentioned how we hadn't talked for a few days at that time, he recalled the initial conversation with me, handing over the service at 7 in the morning (he had woke me up), and then how awful those next few days were. I still remember dancing in the kitchen after he wrote me (he wouldn't talk on the phone because he was slurring so much) and sounded more like himself again. That early morning phone call was awful. He was so scared. When I saw him again it was Christmas Eve and he had me stand with him and do most of the communion service because he didn't have his confidence back yet.
This morning I kept thinking about how my current minister needs pastoral care but I didn't feel confident enough to provide it. My former minister reminded me that she is to get care from her 'minister' not her congregation and so I engaged that process. That's the advantage to levels of jurisdiction - Presbytery is both an administrative body but it is also the 'congregation' for ministers so I let the appropriate minister there know she was very sick and should have pastoral care.
Now I need to get back to work. I'm expecting a call from Presbytery but I'll work in the meantime. Dh went out on errands because he wants to enjoy the beautiful day outside. I might take the phone outside and garden for 15 minutes.
