So glad I'm not the parent of teenagers right now. Hard to be boy in this society, even harder to be a girl.

Presbytery was locked when I got there, although it should have been open. So that was a wasted errand. Next chance I have to get in will be Tuesday.

Ds was here when I got home from physio and we went to lunch together, then to his place and I loaded up my car with bins to bring here. Then Presbytery (3 mins away from ds') and then groceries and Walmart. Bought more of the alia clothing (a brand Walmarts have just started carrying.) Hopefully these will go well with my existing clothes. I wanted new stuff and colours both for the cruise and also for all my grey hair. I need to punch up my outfits. Today I'm all in black and grey because I haven't pulled out my summer things yet. I even have dress boots on. With my grey, short, blazer and full, moleskin skirt and boots, I look like I should have a buggy whip in my hands because I look like someone who shows horses.

Kudos to dd14, Harriet. Yes, what a sensitive and thoughtful friend she is. That's hard stuff, not to be taken lightly.

Lol #2 is going. Dd14's friend is here. I'm going to strip the MBR bed and then head to the gym for 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer. It was snowing earlier today! I don't think I'm going to go jog outside; the snow is not sticking and I believe temps are in the 40s. Odd. But, still. . .. . Last time I exercised on the elliptical trainer, I was able to work up a decent sweat - good sign.

OK...I'm finished with the outside, at least for today.
I made all my phone calls before I went outside. As a result I have 2 appoints for the dr's and one to get my hair cut. It's hot outside, but I was working under a tree for most of the time so that helped. However I was trimming the tree, so I was cutting my own shade back. All cut, clipped and cleaned up. Still have some upper branches I'd like to get to, but like Scarlett it will have to wait until tomorrow. Need the long handle trimmer for that and may be I can Tom Sawyer Sweetie into helping His real talent is "barrel jumping" which means when my big barbage barrel bet too filled with branches and such, Sweetie jumps inside the barrel and mashes everything down.

I need a shower. I am covered with sun screen, including the part in the top of my hair, which I should mention is falling out in handfuls...hence the dr's appointment and a needed haircut. Trying not to be too vain about the situation...

The state of NJ is often said to look like an indian's head that is facing left. If you look along the East Coast you will see this odd looking finger thingie sticking out in the water. That's the area I'm from. NYC is across the bay...the Rariton Bay. The town that I am from was settled in 1626. You can zoom in on the map until the town of Rumson appears...same with Sea Bright. Now you'll have a better idea why Sea Bright was literally swept out to see by Hurrican Sandy. We didn't stand a chance.......


These may just look like pictures to you, but to me its where I had my first kiss, where we went after hs dances to eat pizza, where all my summer memories were made...you get the idea. When you say home to me...this is the place that i think of....but its not there any more... And...this is the town that my brother was the Fire Chief for many years.

Kitchen is in much better shape now.

Spent a bit of time this afternoon outside in sunshine. Such a rare occurrence these days that I didn't even bother to fix hair and makeup before going out, I was too afraid the sun would go away again before I could get there.

Added a load of laundry to my list, easy dishcloths & kitchen towels. Ah I hear the washer has stopped so I can toss those into the dryer.

OK flipped that load and decided to do another, clothes this time since there was a full load all ready to go.

Did not get to the Focus area, cleaned up another big messy area instead so the trash could go right out to the bin in the garage.

I need to finish gathering the regular weekly trash after supper and take the bins to the curb, and then I will have completed the main goals for the day.

DH hasn't had time to look at my dvr yet, but I found an old vcr that still works ... usually. I set it up to record a couple things late last night so that will give me something to watch while sorting through another stack of papers tonight. If the machine didn't actually record after all, it won't break my heart. Checking tonight's tv schedule there are lots of reruns of Duck Dynasty, and a Denzel Washington movie that I haven't seen ... if I can bear to put up with the commercials.

Hi everyone! I am almost done at payroll, though there is not much to do. It worries me we don't have a contract. I am going to eat at church and then go to Bible study. However, I first have to run home and put a turkey in the oven. Other stuff needing doing: LOL, make bed, clear up LR, find stuff for my next art class project.

Cue Hallelujah Chorus LOUD!!! It has been two weeks since my doctor's appointment and I can CROCHET again. Happy, happy day. However, I am in the middle of a sewing project that is almost done, so I will complete that first.

Elizabeth: be careful to not overdo it. I was loving being so strong last week until I overdid it and went back to stairs one at a time.

Legs are sore tonight from muscle stimulation.

I'm supposed to be away next appointment so as it stands now I don't have another physio appointment. I'll figure out if I need another after my travel.

No word from anyone on email since 2:50. Weird. No phone calls either.

I got the meat I bought froze and the dishwasher started. Need to do laundry tomorrow since I normally hang it to dry in the spare bedroom and dd will be in there on the weekend.

Off to bed now. I'm exhausted.

Cowinkie, if it's thyroid messing with your hair's cyclical shedding, Evening Primrose Oil helps. Lots of potential reasons, though, some just ordinary old cycling through stages of shedding. Hope you figure it out.

FUN alert!
I spent some serious money today, at least when you consider what I bought fits into a space not much bigger than a breadbox and is mostly dirt! Can you guess? Garden Center! And the really fine, eclectic, sprawling one, at that. I knew I could go to the tent by the side of the road or even the front of the grocery store and get perfectly acceptable marigolds and a perfectly acceptable hanging basket already done. (And would I ever have saved money and time! Oh my!) But would I do that? Of course not! Somebody waved creativity in front of me so I had to go spend 3 times as much money and time choosing specialty plants! It took me forever, because the garden center is SO beautiful, with so many little cubbies and turns and twists and corners with sweet plants everywhere. Also every possible kind of garden and yard addition or decor. My left arm is aching from carrying the plant tray so long trying to choose!

But I got the very coloration of yellow centered maroon marigolds that I love for tomato companions, and a dainty little white Bacopa (blooming Hyssop) and 3 colorations of Calibrachoa (mini Petunia) for a hanging basket. Dd chose a Fushia, which she plans to put in some smaller, artsy container for shade. We had such a lovely time walking around the grounds. Over and over dd tested me on flower names and read the labels to find I was right, lol. She'll never know I got the names for Ageratum and Alyssum mixed up at first! Aside from being in information overload on artistic creativity around every turn, she had a wonderful conversation with a lady who told her she should come back when she turns 16 and ask for a job. Her ddad and I don't want her working at 16, but maybe later. It's a charming, happy place, very wholesome and real, with real things to teach.

Today I've gotten my watch battery replaced, got a price on getting my ring sized, and checked on getting various rings traded in for a diff. one for our 40th ann. so they will call me after they look them over.

Then I went to a diff. store and found some beads that was great to see the rocks he had for that. I helped dgson with his home work.

I Rode the ex. bike for 10 miles, & walked dgson home from school for my exercise today. Gotten the chicken chores done.

Dinner is done now & I've rinsed and loaded the dishes in the dish washer.
Harriet I wish I would have waited some of my toms are not doing very well with not being planted yet.
