Hello Dear Ladies,
We got sunshine here!
I've spent the past few days cleaning and getting into a routine again. I'm feeling really good, (hope I don't jinx it) and am digging into getting this house in shape.
Spent most of Tuesday cleaning Dbrother's room and closet. I moved furniture out and vacuumed. Ended up rearranging it too. It seems more roomier now too. He had a little problem finding everything in it's new place but seemed to enjoy the challenge of finding where everything is. It was an adventure for him.
Spending some time each day just maintaining areas that I conquered. Hoping I can continue to get things back in shape and be able to maintain them too.
Other than that everyone is in some form of recovering from the cold/flu that we had. DH is out on a service call.
Tomorrow starts my long days at work so hoping I can at least maintain some areas in the short time I'm home.
Off to the adventures again!
Great day to all!
Tremendous Thursday

Re: Tremendous Thursday
I was a the church 8:50 - 1:00 pm today, set up, meeting, some clean up, meet w/ dfriend S2 for prayer, more chatting with some women there, finally walking out the door at 1 pm. Another dfriend, the secretary for the group, finished cleaning up for me while I was out w/ prayer partner. Once home, I had lunch, took care of some emails, cleaned up the kitchen, and am now ready to go again!
We are having very odd weather. The temps are in the 40s. It started out sunny this morning. When I walked out of the meeting, it was sleeting, then raining.
Not long after I got home, it was clear and sunny. Then, the clouds came through again with more sleet and rain. It is now sunny and clear. . . . . I am tentatively thinking of going for a jog in the park late this afternoon.
Goals for this afternoon:
- strip MBR bed; I never go to it yesterday.
- load of sheets and towels
- tidy living areas - not too much to do there
- quick vac of living areas
- make chicken curry
- take dd14 to synchro practice at 5
- jog, if weather holds
- finish getting dinner together: steam cauliflower, chop up a cucumber, make rice, heat up naan
- dfriend A will be here around 5:30, hopefully
- pick up dd14 from synchro practice around 6:40
- dfriends S and R will be here around 6:45
- have dinner with good friends!
Off to work on those goals.

Re: Tremendous Thursday
Hi everyone! I got a ton of cooking done last night. Tonight I have to put the last of the dishes in the dishwasher. There is also some more cooking to do after art class. I need to make up the bed, really this time! And do another blanket LOL because dFosterCat13 threw up again.
It has been two weeks since I have been treating my arm and it is not better, so I saw the doctor again. He quizzed me about injuries, specifically things that could lead to stress fractures, and ordered x-rays. I am a little worried because when I had a stress fracture on my foot, I didn't know it.

Re: Tremendous Thursday
Year-end accounting continues here. Very slow progress today.
Just biked with dh to the general store for the mail. We started out walking and within 400' my knee hurt so we turned back. Dh said he'd just bike it and a light-bulb went on for me. I'm supposed to be biking places not walking, so we pulled out my bike, pumped up the tires, sprayed it with lubricant and headed off. My legs are a bit wobbly now. It is only a mile in each direction but I went as fast as I could on the way back because the physiotherapist wants high rpms from me.
Dh just headed off for his dinner and mine is defrosting. He shouldn't be driving on the med he is testing but says he isn't dizzy at all. It is the altitude meds for when he's hiking in the mountains.

Hello again! I just got an appointment for dFosterCat10 for a dental next Wednesday. I also realized I need to pay bills and balance the checkbook tonight. I have more to do than I have time after art class.

Re: Tremendous Thursday
Finished the regular expenses but still have to do the invoiced trip expenses. Since I only do this stuff once a year, I have to relearn it all and can't remember how hard the trip expenses are, I am going to bed now. There are only three invoices with expenses attached and because I wasn't with dh, the trips weren't as long so there are fewer expenses to keep track of. But my mind is foggy.
I also have to do the petty cash reports and reconciliation and then I should be to the point of printing off reports for our first accountant.
There are four long tasks to do for the second accountant but they don't have quite the same deadline (my deadline for this is Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.)
Dh is arranging a dinner for us about 2 hours from here for Monday night with dd's godparents. Dd is coming on Saturday night and originally said she'd leave after dinner on Monday but I whined and dh translated that into an email to her clarifying that we'd only be seeing her half of Sunday (due to church and emergency meetings about the minister) and Monday until dinner. He pointed out we are driving into the city on Tuesday morning and would be happy to drop her at her friend's house at that time. She relented and agreed to stay the extra night so she'll get to see her godparents. And we'll have 4 hours of visiting time in the car as we drive to the dinner (we split the difference and choose a point half way between the two families since we live 4 hours apart.)

Re: Tremendous Thursday
Happy to see that citylady stopped by to chat in Across the Cafe Table.
I hit a wall today and had to nap, messing up my schedule and plans.
Really can't brag on very much getting done today, so that's 2 days in a row. Usually I make up for a day quicker than that.
I don't know when I'll get a chance, maybe Sunday night, to try again to start back to 9 or 9:30 bedtimes. I keep starting, then have an uprooted night, then have to nap the next day or else, then can't rest at 9. My ddad did have a confused night last night, but frankly my schedule was already messed up and I had only gone to sleep an hour or two before his 1:00 upset. Then after reassuring him and handling that (he was convinced we had called him to breakfast, so was completely dressed), had less than four hours before dd was up to get a shower, which she certainly has a right to do. She can only shower in our bathroom these days, of course, and even though she tries to be quiet, sneaking through without lights, I awaken, losing that 1/2 to 3/4 hours of sleep at the end of the night, too. HRH says he is also very close to just switching Tobias to all dry food on demand, against Vet's advice, because every time he's awakened close to dawn, he can't rest again either, and suggests we arise so he can have breakfast.
Reading these experts who talk about good night's sleep and correct sleep schedules and how we obviously could make that a priority if we only would, just makes me mad. Not naming any names but the recent expert's initials are Bob Greene.
Sorry to be sort of a downer. All I need is rest. That shouldn't be a problem, right?
