HAPPY BIRTHDAY COWINKIE!
Went to bed shortly after 10. I was up at 12:30 and 2:00 for potty break. Between 2 and 3, I was up and down and couldn't get back to sleep. Finally just stayed up and now I am tired. About 4:45, I turned on dhs coffee pot and opened windows. It was 76 in here and is to be mid 80's today and mid 40's tomorrow. I am hoping to get it cooled off to 70 before I shut up the house, but might not make it.

Re: Tuesday - Toot your horn!
My morning is off to a good start. I'm REALLY enjoying the 16 tiny habits that start the day. It is nice to power through those early morning tasks before my brain fully wakes up.
After taking LO to school, I'll head to town for an appt. Afterwards, I plan to treat myself to an hour alone in coffee shop. Then I plan to jump back on track getting things done. I have a list of items to be bought before leaving town. Those items will take at least 3 additional stops. I have a goal of arriving home by noon...probably not realistic timeline, but I'm still hopefully. We have ISP technician scheduled to be here this afternoon to work on modem/antenna/tower connection. Plan B is asking DH to drop by the house and let them in if I can't get home before they arrive.
AFter picking LO up from school, he needs a hair cut. If he is still having ear ache/pain I'll wait a day or two on the hair cut. Tonight is adult T-ball meeting to decide what to do with the rest of the season. Either someone will volunteer to be the new coach (previous one quit) or we will cancel the rest of the games.
***TOOTing*** birthday horn as I dance and giggle. I think my party hat is upside down.

Re: Tuesday - Toot your horn!
I love how you make me smile, OK.
So glad to see that Kathryn and Twins received some form of encouragement last night that their efforts have not gone unnoticed and that someone cares!!
I am currently sitting on a stool in the kitchen watching Maia. We're taking turns camping out on the floor in front of her crate each night. Dh took his turn last night, and he got up and went to bed about 50 minutes ago; it will be my turn tonight. I don't remember whose idea this was; we're trying to help her transition to sleeping alone in a crate. I just hope we're not training her to expect someone to be with her 24/7. She is by herself in her crate when I leave to run errands during the day. Housebreaking is going well.
Our forecast high is 77 today! Our highs are in the 70s all week long but down in the 60s over the weekend. Unfortunately, my schedule is such that I can't get to much yardwork the next 2 weeks. I suppose it will still be there when I can get to it.
--This sat here a while. Maia has eaten, pottied, and Pepper has deigned to come into the kitchen to play with her. SO helpful! Dh is also up. I'm going to carpe diem and take a shower. I need to leave in about 1:10. I hope to be bbl . . .

Re: Tuesday - Toot your horn!
Good morning all! I had a solid sleep last night so am moving very well this morning. We have to be out of the house by 9 so I didn't exercise but I'm dressed, bed made, dishwasher emptied, and I'm having my tea. Email is also read.
Busy day
* Drop dd off at friend's house
* hair cuts
* maybe lunch at chip wagon (depends on timing and weather)
* returns for dh and me
* drop stuff off at Presbytery
* 3 p.m. appointment at accountant to drop off the year-end books
Dh has a conference call tonight. I have to start packing.
Our trip schedule is up in the air. I have a friend who is minister on a Reservation and her church wants to participate in the national church survey. I've been assigned to her and if she can get her people together, we'll detour to visit her on our way to Nashville. Otherwise, we'll do it by internet later.
If I'm going to visit her, we plan to leave right after church on Sunday and drive 90 minutes before lunch (I'll pack a snack.) Then onto the town nearest the reservation, sleep overnight, do the survey all morning, drive on to visit dh's friend who moved to Southern Ontario. They had a baby yesterday so we'd like to see them. Tuesday we'd go onto the border at Sarnia and on through Michigan, drifting in a south easterly direction.
If I'm not visiting her, it won't be as much as a rush to leave after church because dh's friend is only 4.5 hours from here (the Reserve is 6 hours from here in a more northerly direction.) We'll visit on Monday, and have a more leisurely drive to the border.
In either case, we have 7 days to do 16 hours of driving. I like that. On the way home, we have 1.5 days to do the same!

Re: Tuesday - Toot your horn!
Good morning, Sheville. I too, had a good night's sleep, though early morning hours it was thundering/lightening/raining & was awake through that. Didn't get up till 8:15 though.
Wishing I were going to be north while you're on your trek, Kathryn.
Have a bunch of things I absolutely need to get done today. So best get off and do them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COWINKIE!! Love to see Harriet's celebratory posts!
Not sure what your 16 are, Okay, but that's how I also wake up. Doing those 'self' things, making the bed are pretty much by rote. Then I'm ready to move.I'm REALLY enjoying the 16 tiny habits that start the day. It is nice to power through those early morning tasks before my brain fully wakes up.

Re: Tuesday - Toot your horn!
Up and about here. Visiting with the rabbi when he dropped in last night was quite pleasant - dh got home while he was here and we all talked and shared a glass of wine on our back patio with the view - but it certainly took a hunk out of the evening.
So far today I have to deal with "Who will do the clean up for the meal of consolation tomorrow at temple?" by noon today.
