Facilitation went well. We were done in 2.5 hours but I have another 30 minutes of backup/cleanup to do. This was a monitored meeting (my team leader sat in on the call) and good reviews except a reminder not to talk too much. That's been on all my report cards since grade 1!

Next on is Monday morning. Then I have one at the end of May. That will be 3 of my 5 that I committed to, done. I need to find at least 2 more churches to do before June 15 so should start choosing off the master list now. The process has been extended to the end of October (because churches aren't signing up to do this and it is thought that giving them more time will help increase the response rate.) So I'll be able to do more than 5 if they continue to find churches for me.

Quick check-in. For some unknown reason I keep thinking today is Saturday -- I really don't want to rush the weekend!

Friday dailys are done except for vacuuming carpets. I have made a shopping list for our trip to W-M this afternoon. This morning dh informed me that our microwave is broken. I tried it too and the timer and turntable work, but it doesn't heat. Well, this one is 13 years old, so I think we got our use of it. Dh will not be put off on this...so it's a-shopping we will go!

I posted that grout cleaner as a way to save the recipe. It's all ingredients one would normally have and I wanted to try it also. If it works I will post it here somewhere.

I need to get moving now!

I copied the grout cleaner recipe to try myself. I'm wondering if it is as good as the commercial grout cleaner available at H-D. I didn't have a lot of luck with that. I do remember Indiana had recommended that I try Oxy-clean and I bought some, but recently opened it to use on spots on clothing, so obviously I never tried it on the floor!

Busy so far today. I got a few things done at my desk, but unfortunately came across one quarterly report not done last month. I spent a lot of time hunting it but only found the blank forms. I had it in my head that it was done. I did get another couple paperwork things done and in the mail before I got out the door with DH.

I went with him up to that place they worked on this weekend. We raked up all the concrete rubble and hauled it away, graded the dirt around, and put one intermediate board all around the landing and ramp. Then we took pictures. I managed to get them emailed out to the 2 people who wanted to see them.

Lunch is done, DH had leftovers and I made toast and eggs for me. Man it was hot and sticky out. I'm not used to this heat yet. Shower & shampoo is next.

Done the cleanup work, repairing spelling and grammar and have emailed that off to my team leader and his supervisors.

Now to take a 20 minute break outside in the warm sun. (This room is dark and artificially lit for the webcam.)

I SURVIVED!!
I'm back from the last of LO's field trips for this school year. **VBSigh_of_relief** I haven't stopped to count all the field trips this year, but I know there was over a dozen of them.

As soon as I finish this drink, I'm going to go uncover the garden and hope for the best. This morning we had a freeze with heavy frost so it is iffy whether the tender plants survived.

Tonight is our turn to host the Friday Night Gang so I need to spend an hour this afternoon preparing for it (Snacks, drinks, chairs and giving the house a quick once- over).

Dinner will be home made pizze.

Sometime today I need to pack for LO and myself. We will be leaving as soon his ballgame is over in the morning.

Quick break. I am now hot and sweaty. Windows are open; it is in the mid-70s.

TaDas!

x quick dust in living room
x tidy living room
x vacuum upstairs
- clear off porch - items still there from when I had my car cleaned Wed.
- tidy play room
- swipe surfaces in play room, as needed
/ vacuum down - still need to vacuum the play room

Everything in the house is now ready except for the play room. I'm going to do that next. Dd17 is home; I'm trying to enlist her help since this is her party and I've cleaned up a lot of her messes today. She wasn't too keen on helping, but I think she will. I need her to b/c time is now T - 25 minutes and counting.

Sunned for 15 minutes.

Washed the windows on the ground floor, lubricated the latches and installed screens so ds will be able to open windows while we are away without filling the house with bugs. The upstairs screens were put in by dh but he didn't clean or lubricate first so I will have to do that when we get back from the trip.

Dh forgot to get milk while I was on the call (he was out then) so went out later. Good timing, ran into a friend who has been awaiting test results. She got them today and was on her way home to tell her (adult) family. Inoperable tumour. She'll get chemo instead. Sigh...

While dh was gone I also vacuumed most of the ground floor. Will damp mop tonight and maybe dust as well.

Dh is cooking dinner now. I'm still tidying up, putting the dining room back to rights after using it for the conference call.

Good afternoon everyone! I will get a paycheck for August, but it is for less than a week. This is not good. DFosterCat4 has an eye infection and gets ointment twice a day. She is so thrilled. DFosterCat10 still has not forgiven me for the vet trip to get a dental cleaning. She is avoiding me. DFosterKitten has been pronounced healthy, male, and 5 or 6 weeks old. The name Gravity has become official.

After payroll (such as it is), I am going to the yarn store to crochet until 7. Then I really need to do some attic work to make sure the roof leak is gone (most likely is). Other stuff I ought to do: LOL with a blanket, general pick up everywhere, upload picture of doll dress to web, call twin friends' mom, eye meds for cat, and figure out when to leave for church picnic tomorrow. I guess I should also upload pictures of Gravity to the appropriate places too.

Elizabeth has reminded me I have laundry to do tonight. As well as two loads for the line tomorrow.

Dh is cooking up 4 lbs of bacon tonight for the church men's breakfast tomorrow.

Dh and I have a busy day tomorrow. I have to get packed and the house ready to leave. Am working my way through the fresh produce now. The fridge is noticeably emptier, although sadly, I had to toss some of them.

Dh has to return the backpack he bought. Turns out the hiking company supplies one themselves (so the Sherpas are carrying all the same style - easier to load up if they are all identical.) Also have to pick up US cash for our trip and for dh's trip.

Goals for this evening:

1. tidy up kitchen
2. pack up the travel bag with plates/cups/etc.
3. Clean out the cooler
4. pay bills
5. do payroll (just remembered that one!)
6. Laundry, one load
7. Maybe clean bathrooms
