Got everything done before we had to leave to pick up girls! One tutor girl came here. We picked up another one en route. Then, we headed to Detroit. Unfortunately, dd17 had printed out directions from the Detroit home to our home. SO, I had to read them backwards, which meant I had to make one guess re: which direction to go upon exiting the interstate. I guessed wrong but figured it out pretty quickly, and then just backtracked the correct direction. We picked up the 2 tutees (that is actually a word! I've looked it up.), who are sisters, and brought them back to our home w/out further incident. Eventually, 2 more tutor girls showed up at our house. I think everyone except for one tutor girl is sleeping over tonight. I ordered pizza and cut up some fruit. Meanwhile, one of the tutee girls (age 10) threw up. . . . She seemed to bounce back very quickly and requested chicken noodle soup. So, I walked to WF to buy 2 cans of soup. Against my suggestions to dd17, she and her sister (age 8) ate a lot of soup. I would have made my own child wait longer before eating anything.
Dd14 and ds went to see the high school's production of Macbeth. they had planned this escape beforehand. . . And now all the girls are all outside trying to help dd17 catch Lily. I'm sure Lily is going to want to come into the house now. *sheesh* The puppy is terrifying enough for her. . .. .
I'm going to clean up the kitchen. Then, maybe read or veg.
FNG went well. Although we almost had a coffee blooper. I was putting on a bandaid on one of the guys (he had an owie) so DH decided to help by handing out coffee. However, DH got the salt and sugar mixed up and added 2 T of salt to a cup of coffee!!! I walked into the kitchen just in time to see it happen and got it corrected before that cup of coffee was handed out. That would of been YUCKO!
When LO got home from school he told me about falling down while playing. However, he didn't tell me there is a little rock under the skin on the palm of his hand. VBSigh. Of course, he doesn't want anyone to touch it. I don't know how we are going to get the rock out.
OKay: have you thought of trying a poultice? Mom used to use that to draw splinters to the surface when I was little.
Paperwork is done. Bathrooms will have to wait. Will run dishwasher before I go to bed. Still need to do physio. I've been sedentary today so REALLY need to do physio.
I'm still proud of all I've accomplished today and have been active. It is just that non-sedentary is a higher bar than I thought it was.
I am posting from dhs computer. Today out of nowhere my computer started scanning for problems and found 93 worms, viruses, etc. It says to Activate Now to take of them. Dd1 said not to do it. It happened to them and the kids did it. It slowed down the computer, etc. They ended up having to take it in and have it cleaned up. It cost them $150.00. So tomorrow I will be taking mine in. Grr.....
I will check in here but not having my other sites so handy, maybe I will get something done.
Tomorrow is dgd3s first dance recital. It's at 2 pm. We had assumed it would be an evening recital. Tomorrow is dgs19 last local Bible Bowl tournament. Dd1 is helping in the kitchen all day and won't be able to go.
Lilac - our remodel will be done while we are gone for the summer. He will work on it between other projects. Since we will probably be gone until October he has lots of time to work on it.
