Did about 40 minutes in the yard. Front gardens are cleaned up so that they are presentable. Hopefully 40 minutes in the back will happen tomorrow.

Got word that we've been paid for the work dh did for the New Zealand government and the cheque will be delivered by courier tomorrow. More than happy to stay home for that! Not sure if the bank will release the funds to me immediately, though, so money may be tight for a while longer but I'm hoping to make payroll this week. Thankfully, it is just dh and I so if I can't, no-one else is affected.

Will go bike for the mail now. The physiotherapist office called to make sure my knees were doing ok and pushed more biking.

Peeking in. . .Our beautiful day has slowly become gray and drizzly. I didn't get to weeding and weed-whacking this a.m. so it is not getting done today. Dh doesn't seem to want me to weed-whack for some reason.

((Elizabeth)). Wow. I hope dd heals quickly and, well, I don't know what to say about XDH. . .
Glad dh is home safely Lilac.
Hello to everyone!

Big event Saturday night - I went to the movies! It had been a while. The last movie I saw in the theaters was The Hobbit. I guess that wasn't out that long ago, so maybe it hadn't been that long. Dh, ds, and I went to see the Star Trek movie. Very enjoyable, if you didn't think too hard about the holes in the plot . . . It was just fun to go to a movie. Dh commented on how special effects are getting better and better. The character Eomer in LOTR did a nice job in this movie as Bones, the MD. He was pretty much unrecognizable sans his long blond tresses, though. :) I guess I'm revealing my film nerdiness. . . In the middle of the previews, someone behind me scratched my back. I turned to see who was being so familiar with me -- and dfriend S waved at me. She and R were seated right behind us! SO funny! I had just seen S an hour earlier at the grad party.

I've been doing a lot of laundry today. Also, made a grocery list and have gotten that errand done Everything is put away. a.m. routine got done too.

Dd14 had a friend sleep over last night; she went home earlier this afternoon. Dh has gone in to his lab to work. Dd17 is studying for the SAT which she is taking this coming Saturday. She missed signing up for some SAT subject tests this spring so she'll have to do those in the fall. We should have planned this a little better. . .Oh, well. All will work out in the end. Ds is reading, and dd14 is on her laptop.

Plans for the remainder of the afternoon: try not to eat everything in sight (it is one of those days), do my Hebrew translation work for class tomorrow, work on my resume.

Tomorrow afternoon my time will be limited. I need to make and deliver a meal to a friend in the moms group with a new baby and get to Hebrew w/ completed translation work by 5 pm. The dd of dfriends of ours is coming by at 2 to demonstrate some knives for her job. She has said I don't need to purchase for her to get paid, which is a good thing, as I probably won't purchase anything. I just hope she doesn't hang out here too long as I'll need to finish up details for the delivered meal, for our own family meal (same meal - I'll just have to figure out how to keep it warm while I'm at class), and get out the door by 4.

I've been a busy little bee on the telephone today. Glad some of the places weren't closed.

Ordered new phone which will be overnighted to me. Salesman told me how to access my phone's VM from DH's phone so I changed the greeting and told them to call me on his phone.

Also have a new glucometer on the way.

Next up I should clean up the kitchen but I am soooooo tired. Sat down in my chair and immediately fell asleep.

Off to the kitchen.

I need to get rolling again for awhile - I just ran out of steam earlier and took a substantial nap.

-fold three lol, move over laundry in washer and start a load of delicates
-clear kitchen table
-plant geraniums in planters on front porch - I have potting soil to fill out the planter
-plant herbs and cherry tomato in planters on back patio
-pooper scoop (didn't get to it earlier when dh and I went to Tar-jay

Also going to start the grill heating to do some burgers....ds is getting hungry and I don't know when I will need to pick up dd from her dfriends' house.

Biked and got the mail. My second book had arrived so I was glad I was biking (and have a basket) since it is text-book size.

Our lawn is being mowed now. Hope they finish by the time I have to work over the internet. I don't need the noise in my conference call.

I feel like I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world right now. :) It's Memorial Day, he was watching the Mariners baseball game, and I needed to get something from the store a. s. a. p., so I can start treatment tonight. He dropped everything, he is at the supermarket now, getting "it", along with groceries, to stock up because we have a busy week, with the pump man coming- we hope. (Just don't know which day; we'll call him in the a.m.) I'm sitting here feeling so fortunate. I don't drive because of my eye problems. He's such a love. I just hope, when he returns, the game's still on and his team wins, too. :D What a sweetheart!

It's raining here, I had a morning nap, and DH and kitty cat were so quiet. I got in such a good rest. It's nice to wake up rested, isn't it? :) My back pain went away and I felt so much better.

I thought I heard a mouse squeak in my walk-in closet, so decided to keep the door open, so it can run out. Kitty cat was shut in there, accidentally, this morning, for about 5 - 10 minutes. When I opened the door, she was crouched down, like she was "hunting". I also could've been hearing a bird outdoors because in the bedroom we have 3 bay windows and a glass door, both, so we can hear the birds really good.

I'm working on a story and will help DH put groceries away when he returns.

Happy Memorial Day, Everyone! :D

Must be an unwritten law that dfamily should ask me to do things for them when I make a li&t here and say I'm getting busy. My comment at the end of the last post re: burgers was because ds had materialized and was hungry... Dh came in from pool and the three of us ate together on the back patio, and dh is going to pick up dd at her friend's house tonight before he comes home from bowling.

Meanwhile...back to that last round:

-fold three lol, move over laundry in washer and start a load of delicates
-clear kitchen table done
-plant geraniums in planters on front porch - I have potting soil to fill out the planter
-plant herbs and cherry tomato in planters on back patio done partly done
-pooper scoop (didn't get to it earlier when dh and I went to Tar-jay)

Had dinner (around 2) at DS-R's. DH was a bit late as he got involved doing some needed upkeep at our RV! :o   Seems he replaced a leaky faucet and also put a new "Y" on our hose adapter outside. Came in to change and kept hearing a click, click, click and then decided to flush our toilet. BAD DECISION -he had left the Y turned on to the flush for our waste tank. He ended up putting a lot of things in the laundry (thus my doing LOL today) and washed the entire bathroom -ceiling, walls and floor. A mistake he's sure not to make again. He's incredulous that he did it in the first place. But it'll all be fine. He was going to empty/flush our tank before he goes in the hospital. Well, it's done now! :D

I've gotten quite a bit done today, plus the laundry! DS-R told me he'd put in for Friday off -so I know he will be at the hospital all day & most likely DS-A. DD was really bummed that she can't be here too. We're both 'good' right now and he probably will stay that way. I'm the one who will probably be having lots of butterflies come Thurs/Fri. He told me yesterday "I'm at peace about everything, what happens, happens". But he is anxious to have this valve replacement done and hopefully feel better and have more energy. A funny -dd called yesterday because one of dfriends at church in FL asked, "What's up with your Dad? They're doing by-passes AND "bowel" surgery?" Probably someone had said "Valve" with a southern drawl. She just couldn't figure how they were doing both at once. Dh hasn't stopped laughing.

About time for me to head back up on the hill and see if my clothes are dry. Want to get there before the dryer time is up so I can put in another $.25 if not.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

And I just realized I haven't written for the temple bulletin today, and I don't have any idea what to write.

-clear kitchen table done

-plant geraniums in planters on front porch - I have potting soil to fill out the planter
-plant herbs and cherry tomato in planters on back patio done partly done
-pooper scoop (didn't get to it earlier when dh and I went to Tar-jay)

Also, water all these newly planted things....
