Well, now I feel silly - she had already been told about all of it and sent ME an email saying she knew, but our emails crossed. HRH always says they have to go to Australia first, meaning they may be routed around the world, depending upon many factors, plus time can pass before they are received. Anyway, she might be just a little bit happy, ya think?. "dreams really do come true" she says. Almost hate to see the calendar flip over to exam week!

I may owe a SHEM now. Well, my mind is in the garden.

I did not get my walking in (officially) yesterday, but dh wants to walk today. That means late s2s which means late getting anything much accomplished for me... but if dh wants to walk with me, I want to accomodate him. I am more likely to do my full 3 miles if he is encouraging me, plus he needs the exercise as much or more than I do.

I'm thinking dmom wants me to help w/thank you notes today... and she is such a morning person, where dh and I are such night owls... hard to sync our schedules to suit hers...
And I'm still worried about dmom. But I guess 3 weeks IS still a very short time to be able to say how she is going to handle life on her own. I must be patient. She just seems like she WANTS to be alone... and I think she really NEEDS some alone-time... but I don't want her to overdo it, you know? So I try to talk to her every day on the phone, and visit at least once a week... and... we'll just see how she does, I guess.

Checking in. I just had lunch and am ready to head into my afternoon. I have not yet done my a.m .routine, but I have. .
x taken dd17 to orthodontist appt.
x dropped off stool sample at the vet's
x moms group teaching team meeting 9:15 (I ended up 15 minutes late) - 11:40.

I came home, did some puppy care, and allowed myself a little play time during lunch. Now, I need to get to some things I didn't get to yesterday, starting with a couple quick errands. . . .

Glad to see you here, lucylee! Ds still needs to finish thank yous from his trip to Guyana in March. He didn't send thank yous to dh's side of the family, for some reason; I'm not sure if that is b/c they are international or what. Girls have thank yous to do for my dbro as well. . .

Glad the stents are clear, Dee. ((HUGS)) as you wait a little longer.

Woohoo for dd14, Harriet!! I have the feeling she'll do very well with her finals.

Here, we have another week before finals, but d15 will certainly be heading into finals with all As. Dd17 may be heading in with one A- for a semester grade - in a class where an A- will ding her GPA; her little game of studying as little as possible for good grades is catching up with her. It is a good lesson for her; dh and I are actually happy about this in a way. Better to learn that lesson now than later, once she's at Uni. Dh and I have talked to her about it, and she has listened to us and has started paying attention in that class (she really didn't pay attention for 3/4 of the year) as well as studying for quizzes and tests. Dd17 cares a good bit about her GPA, so a ding is a motivator for her.

It is supposed to get up to 84 today! It is still pretty humid, too. . .

- finish a.m routine, including washing towels, which I didn't get to earlier this week

Back from DH's colonoscopy and he now has a perfect (you know what) - we even have pictures to show it.

I didn't get much sleep last night so we are both going to nap - him because he still as some of the "sleepy juice" and me just because.

I'm back for a bit had to do some research on a book title Joyce Meyer on New habits; Making New Habits Breaking Bad Habits today I got the ph. # for the closer book store; now to get the title going to think about using my mom's day gift $ for it.

Chickens are all out in the yard, got the rest of that yarn cut for the bird nests!

I'm glad the medical procedures are done for MT and Dee's DH though there is still Tuesday's to look forward to.

Along those lines, I took my sealed envelope of stuff to the lab for testing.

Loved reading Harriet's post, cheery garden recollections and great news of all A's for DD. Our gardening chore today was helping DH cut the seed fronds off 2 of our palm trees in the front yard. He doesn't like those seeds to shed because then we're removing little seedlings in the grass and in the garden Island constantly. I held the ladder for him.

Today at midnight both our homeowners ins. and auto ins. expires so there was no more procrastinating. DH got up into the attic and took pictures of truss connections and then the roof line around the house and we filled out all the forms and emailed the pictures to ins. agent. An hour at her office yielded new policies and for all that work (plus weeks of research) I yielded $184/yr savings! Well, better in my pocket than theirs I guess.

Feeling a bit calmer as a bunch of on my mind stuff is done. Desk is in good shape. All those towels & sheets done, last load hanging up. Ins. procured so that stack is off the desk. Yesterday I made a dentist apt. so that worry is done; I've been contemplating where to go as I'm switching to new one. I've pretty much mastered the new phone.

Tonight I will go meet DD2 and help her at a jobsite just to save her an hour or so. She works so hard.

Thank you for lovely Anniversary wishes. My card at DH's placemat went unnoticed for a while. He thought it was tomorrow! We are 20 years today. Woo-hoo!!

Hello Dear Ladies,

spent the day taking dbrother to appointment and making phone calls.

He needs to have his teeth extracted and dentures. First play will do dentures but not extraction, because he would need to be put out. Referred us to second place who said they can't do it because he has epilepsy, needs to be done in hospital. Told to call primary doc and get set up for hospital So called there and explained. Will take awhile I guess as they haven't called back yet.

Please pray that all things fall in place.

Thinking of everyone with procedures and health issues this week, especially Mr. Dee!

I am ready to head out of the house to meet with rabbi, then visit dmom, then hair cut and highlights w dd. After dh got home last night, he drilled out some drainage for me for the front porch geranium pots so I can get those out later today, I hope.

Wrote this early, before 8 a.m. and I'm just now getting back. My hair looks mahvelous, dahling!

I just had a happy thought. Now that Lucylee is retired, we'll see her here throughout the day all year round and not just in the summer. Yay!

I'm back from lunch with ds. Stopped in at Michaels to get something to restring my (fake) pearl cross necklace. It broke second time I wore it and since it isn't real (or I'm assuming it isn't since the cord wasn't knotted between pearls) and since it was only $20 from a vintage store, I didn't want to spend real money to get it properly restrung. The clasp came off but looking at it, I'm assuming this has happened before since the clasp doesn't really match the thing it hooks onto.

So I have some fine bead string and a flexible bead needle and will see if I can do this on my own. Everything comes separately, so I'd have to buy a box of ten clasps and another box of 10 hoops to hook it onto (and apparently a box of 10 other things that are supposed to go around the knot at the clasp) and I realized I know nothing. So I'm going to look for some online how-to videos.

But first, I need to write a sermon.

In the meantime, I'm distracted watching live coverage from a weather balloon or something over Oklahoma and worried about OKay.
