Some may Conga today, Work on the everyday tasks, or finally move on some outstanding thing that walloped in earlier in the week.
Hugs to Dee - with all that is going on for you atm. I've been loving the thread titles this week. Prayers for DH's swift recovery.
Today I rang about a water meter reading that has had me concerned. I think I'd had a "senior moment" thinking the cost of my quarterly water sewage bill could have paid a trip to visit Kathryn or London or somewhere. A whole lot of unwarented worry and sleepless nights on my part. At least, or at last - I rang to organise someone to come look /help with some much needed work around here. It'll be a while but at least the process is started. Plumber, electrician, gate repair. I had to "get over myself" to make the calls.
Must rush for my curfew.
hugs all esp Twins and Lucylee with taking care of family business.
have a good day
goodnight.

Fix it Friday
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.

Re: Fix it Friday
Hi, Lynlee. Good job taking care of utilities efficiency. And organizing some chores with help.
Fix it - I am visiting my colorist because my hair needs a little "fix-it".
There was so much I wanted to comment on yesterday and I barely made it here to read, started to post, and then interruptions galore. So I would have to go back and read to figure it all out.
Hi to ellyphant.
Harmony, how are you doing? Still thinking of your knee healing, and some frustration with medical stuff.
Emptynester, are you recuperated?
Waving to Mr. DeeClutter taking his walks.
Twins Mom, I hope the new place is good for your sister, and not too daunting for you travel-wise.
Congratulations to dh, helia. Safe travels home.
I'm getting a "grandma's brag book" ready for the very casual women-only reunion this evening. It's supposed to be thunder-storming and it's an outdoor (covered) venue, so I doubt it will go down in history as a great reunion, but perhaps pleasant.
Dd has a more formal birthday party at the same time (an older friend turning 16). They will be headed out in a limo to a Japanese restaurant, so I hope they can stay dry. She spends the night.

Re: Fix it Friday
I am fixing me today. Home sick with a bladder infection. Went to the doctor yesterday and came home with medication. Called work and voila! I also slept for 14 hours last night!
Mike has an appointment to see his web guy today and then he is going to his mom and dad's.

Good Morning!
(((CathyS)))
I slept well last night and woke up feeling refreshed.
Today PODA -
** WW meeting. My emotions have been all over the place this week. When I get stressed, I eat. I eat much. I've tried to break this cycle of stress = over eating and replace it with stress = DO SOMETHING. Over and over this week I tried to ignore the desire to EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. Stepping on WW scale this morning will indicate if it worked.
** One-on-one time with DGS16. Each week we have been eating out at restaurants that we have never tried. DGS16 isn't much of an adventurer and prefers to "stay in his box". I'm dragging him out of his box just a teeny-tiny bit at a time. We each set small goals last week and will be discussing those. Also setting new goals for the coming week.
** FNG at our house for supper, fellowship and Bible Study

Re: Fix it Friday
Up and going for a walk. Yesterday was 1/4 mile. Quit laughing!!! It was 1/4 mile more than the last few months have been. Remember Baby Steps. Today, I shooting for 1/2 mile.
Go back to the thyroid Dr. today.
Yesterday I was finally able to get the stove top cleaned. It is not pretty when "someone" fries chicken and then also fries hash browns in too hot a pan. Finally had to take oven cleaner to it. Nothing else would touch it. Shiny now.
Off to the streets!!
Edited to add - .58 miles.

Re: Fix it Friday
I'm up.
I'm done wasting time on the internet.
I'm not dressed.
I have emptied the dishwasher and stripped and remade the bed.
Ds is up and moving around. He has a load of laundry on. He is using electricity at the higher rate time, but he does work (or sleep) during the low rate time so I need to lighten up about that. Besides he's paying rent to off-set his electricity and food usage. We don't pay him for the stuff we get him to do for us, so I need to think positively when he does cost me stuff.

Home from walking ddogs. Walked a lap and a little more with Macs and Moe, then dropped Macs off and walked about a mile with Moe. We're both huffing and puffing but I've walked nearly 5,000 steps already.
I need to make a DPC. I was too wiped out to do it last night and I still need to do it.

Re: Fix it Friday
It seems that I am going to have tonight to myself. One of Mike's friends just called and invited him up to his cottage to help put the dock in. This seems to be a twice-yearly event. I have never been there in 20 years and Mike goes twice a year. Once to put the dock in and then to pull it out.
I am NOT going to clean the oven or anything else tonight.
