This morning went well. WW weigh in showed 1.4 lb loss. That brings total to 8 lb lost in 3 weeks.

Time with DGS16 was very enjoyable. We ate Mexican (his pick this week). After that big meal, I'll have to really watch how much I eat tonight to stay on track.

Food for tonight's gathering is almost ready. Two crockpots are going, everything else has been prep'd. Everything is already in serving bowls, so I'll just need to pull it out of the refrigerator. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything!

In the next 30 minutes I need to spruce up the house - freshen bathrooms, etc.

I think I may have been walking that same track, MT. But now I HAVE to get on it. I'll probably do more walking with dh. I was surprised that cardiac rehab (if prescribed) doesn't start for 4-6 weeks. Till then just plain ol' walking. Knowing dh he'll be pushing to make a trip around the pond before too long. If I follow him around in the golf cart does that mean I can count it as exercise?

He may well be coming home tomorrow to continue the recuperation process. He's lost 2 of the 16# he's put on there this week. His legs definitely look swollen. His pulse is twice as rapid (all the time) as it ever was and he's feeling that. Other than being very tired and weak and sore he's really doing quite well. Had his last tube out this morning -chest drainage. Just getting his showers is going to be plenty of exercise. I'll have to take him up to the shower -he could take it here, but he won't want to because he can't take a long one.

Dcampowner has a 'noisy' pump going behind our RV. There was so much standing water on our lot and all the ones in both directions. It's run since about 7:30am and will keep going all night. Level is down. Put one hose down in the drain they had built and a fire hose up over our berm. Now it's raining again. Had about 2 1/2" yesterday.

My "fix" today was taking a much needed nap. Went into town later to pick up some dial soap for dh. Heard nurse tell his roommate to pick up some on the way home today as he will need it. Figured that's one thing out of the way.

I've dozed a couple other times too. Neighbor from next road over came over to see if I wanted the pump turned off so I could sleep. Notta. Don't think it'll bother me all that much. And I know dcampowner wants it running.

The LPGA is in town this week -it ALWAYS rains during that -every year! I often have wondered why they keep having it. Of course it's $$.

Dee - There is a couple live nearby here - the DH mostly in a mobility scooter - then they swap and he walks a little while DW drives the scooter. Maybe that would work for you and dh once he's allowed to do more. I'm so glad to hear DH is recovering well.

Our former PM Rudd has needed valve replacement and he is still like the energizer bunny ( a local asidethat won't shut up or go quietly. (as many would like him too, and others get good mileage from. Still if one prediction on next election is true he may be the last man standing - I mean sitting... with a seat in fed house of reps.. His heart condition was caused by childhood illness.)

DM got an update re dbro's surgery. Appointment for pre-op is mid month (12th). She was unsure when surgery is mooted for. I suspect it would be soon after.

...but now it's time for something else. I sooo wish I could find a little baby walker b/c he is quite a handful when he is on the floor. We have a bouncy seat, but it only entertains him for a little bit and then he wants DOWN. Wants to be OUT & ABOUT.)

Sounds like dgs is ready to go. Time for baby and toddler proofing. One area at least and see if there's a way to keep him contained..

Dee, we are having a 3 day rodeo and it always rains during it. It has tonight and tomorrow to rain. If it doesn't, it will be a fluke. I am so glad that your dh is on the road to recovery and will be home soon.

Final Dr. appointment until we come back this fall. So as soon as I get the RV packed - we will head north.

Thyroid Dr. wants me to have a nuclear scan - but I can't within 2 months of the heart cath. So we put it off until the fall.

Sign on bank in Surprise, AZ 115*. That is hot - I don't care if it is a dry heat - it is hot. All of next week will be between 104 and 108.

You can see why I want to head north. We have to be in Gillette, WY by June 27 and it will take a minimum of 10 days for us to get there with our mode of travel.

DH just fixed catfish on the grill with steamed corn on the cob. I know I grew up on catfish - but I hate most kinds of fish. I'll eat turkey and chicken all week but I hate fish. DH loves it of course.

Time to make some lists of what I need in the RV - that will be my theme for the next 7 or 8 days. We can only work in the morning as it will be over 100 by 10 am each day and that is when I'm coming into the house with the AC.

Enjoyed reading the past couple days. LOL Harriet! Was the reunion that bad? Keep an eye out for that fox! Didn't Sammy sound the alarm?

We survived the storm. It was way worse than I imagined. It ended up stronger than they 1st predicted. Wednesday night/Thurs AM when it went through here it was windy and noisy. Our electric kept snapping off. Thursday it was raining really hard and I had a couple errands out so DH offered to take me so he could drop me at doors and pick me up. It was awful driving. I did not know until we came back that we were out in a tornado warning. For a while almost the whole state was under a warning.

DD2 drove all the way down the Gulf Coast and said the wind was pushing her van sideways. She went way south of us to work and came up Thurs aft. and stayed the night. She went back down to work and back up. I met her and helped her work at her job here. We had lunch before she drove home. I'm glad the rain and wind has stopped here. DH cut the grass today, it was very long.

My hand is a little better, I've been wearing plastic gloves, especially out working with DD. I usually take it easy the day I go out and work with her. It is very physical work.

OKay, amazing to read you're having to water thirsty plants after all your recent storms.
Kathryn, I must have missed that your DD is moving 6 hours away instead of in your home town. I guess you're disappointed about that?

Evening went well. Friends gave many compliments and kind words. We ate inside then sat outside to read Bible together.

LO and I are staying home instead of doing MPB evening chores so LO can get to bed a little bit earlier. LO is playing in T-Ball tournament tomorrow. He plays at 9am then if they win they play again at 2pm. If they lose the first game they will be in loser bracket and play again at 6pm. We will be taking LO to eat supper with his brothers, sister and DD tomorrow evening. Long day ahead!

Harmony - crazy weather, huh?

Our ground is dry. VERY dry. I just checked the drought monitor and we are still in severe drought status. They have not lifted the water restrictions even though we have received some rain and the pond/lake water levels have come up

I have an ABUNDANCE of garlic and several of the FNG wanted some garlic bulbs tonight. It was very hard to pull the garlic bubs up without breaking the stem off. I managed to pull about 30 garlic heads up intact to give away tonight but I probably broke that many off because the ground is so dry and hard.

Reunion was okay. Incredible thunderstorms were forecast and in fact beat us back into the restaurant interior well before reaching the halfway point of the evening. So I'm sure that took it's toll on attendance. I believe others remembered each other much better than I would have. I knew a few on sight, but a few came to the group and I had to hang on every clue given in conversation to make a stab at who they were. A few I really enjoyed, and I learned there were a few with whom I had things in common that I would not have guessed. The one who's recently returned from Alberta didn't even know my late husband had died, so that was awkward.

We were loud as we tried to hear each other, and, I would say, a difficult party, so I made sure there was a good tip. My throat is sore. I suppose I looked as though I am holding up as well as any, lol. I had the good sense to get on the back row for the photo. Several are determined that we should do this again, but I don't know. I'm just not a girl's-night-out kind of person. There was enough gossip tonight about those not present that I can tell I probably have not been immune from it in the past.

No, the fox came out of the woods behind the henhouse and Sammie was on the front porch. So it was HRH who sounded the alarm! It does remind me of all the times we've wondered, "Why is Sammie barking?" Who knows what varmints she's frustrated in the past.
