Back from the cardiologist. They did an extra long ultra sound -about 1/2 hour or so. Very detailed. Dr. was fearful he may have gone in to Afib. When all was said and done it seems his heart has calmed down some -probably due to the increased med from yesterday. There is fluid in bottom of left lung which he's been instructed to not only breathe deep -but to expel it all too and to COUGH! Ultrasound showed the valve is working perfectly and his heart is working well. He did tell us to call if he starts getting light headed -because this new (increased) med could have that effect. If it does then they'll change it once again. Love this cardiologist -he's very personable & very thorough. Cancelled dh's appointment for next week and made a new one 3 or 4 weeks out. They will put him on the treadmill sometime about then. If he does well, then will talk about cardiac rehab. Trying to get him to or above the level he was before. Because he's always been so active he was in good shape (for the shape he was in) both mentally & physically. It just took so much more energy to accomplish things. And dh always just pushed through. Have a big sign on our patio door now -"Don't Push, PACE". All in all he is a good patient, just has to be reminded.

Hopefully it's stopped raining for a while.

Pharmacy just called about the prescription that came in from the cardiologist. It evidently got 'sent' when it wasn't supposed to. Was for another blood thinner. They were out today but would have more tomorrow. Good thing I pay attention. Called Dr's and they were going to cancel. However it hadn't been. He's on Plavix & Aspirin as it is. Dr. did say to call if dh gets light headed because the med that was upped can cause that if he's getting too much.

Well I'm toot, tooting my horn because my house is clean and my floors are do. Sent Lawrence and his camels back over the hill. However it is quite hot and dusty enough that at least they are enjoying this 112* heat. Glad someone is...

And I guess I could give another toot out cause my dinner is in the slow cooker....lots and lots of veggies with my roast...and I did cook some chicken breast to have on hand for my lunches. I am just about forcing food down Sweetie's throat. He's working on some computer programing project and when that happens he forgets to eat and sleep. I live with "Jack Sprat". Recently he had gotten so thin that his cheeks were beginning to look sunken. I was giving him protein shakes a while back. Then we ran out. He told me not to buy any more. Noticed not long ago another container found its way into our house. He's been making 2 shakes a day and was pleased to tell me his pants were tighter...geesh if that was only my problem. Anyway he's been hard at it programming for the past 3 days and its beginning to show. Yesterday I bought him healthy chips hoping it would add some calories to his lunch. He's so in his "zone" that he tried to make himself another breakfast this morning forgetting he already had had one. My Mr. Magoo....got to love him....just wish I had his metabolism.

I'm back working on my geneology and am taking a break. I keep hitting the same wall when trying to track down my needed information. Made a little bit of new headway today, but then ran into a major problem. My bible tells me that Joseph Green...my mother's maiden name..and Hester Crispin were married on August 20, 1701. However Josheph Green was born in 1745. I found another marriage certificate that states they were married Aug 20, 1771. I assumed the 1701 was a slip of the pen so to speak. Today I came across am other marriage certificate tfor them that is dated Aug 25, 1761.

Hester Crispin was born...if I have the right one in 1750 so I really doubt she was married at age 11. Here's the cruxs of the probelm....Silas Crispin, 1st cousin to William Penn, was married twice. He had 6 children with his first wife and 8 children with his second wife, who's name is Hester Ester. That makes 14 children in all. Not all made it to adulthood, but most did. I assume, and hope I am right, that my Hester Crispin is the daughter or mostlikely granddaughter ~ great grand daughter of one of the Cripsin Males....You do the math. I'm going to break this puzzle eventually....

Good news is Sweetie is staying up late with his project so I don't feel guilty staying up late with mine. Neither one of us have been to bed much before midnight these last few nights and usually its lights out before 10.

I'll be back later...gotta go check on my dinner....Waving to y'all...stay healthy I think I'll bring a bag of chocolate to the waiting room...the heck with the calories

Toot toot! Today's excitement might not be for the of weak heart I was not quick enough with the camera but saw one of the hens with a baby mouse in it's beak and the rest chasing her for a bite of it!
I've folded another load of laundry. Edited to add last load is in the dryer now!
I moved two small rose bushes.

H. got eight 8' ~ 2" x 4"'s for the next two projects brooder remodel and B.B.Q. cook surface frame work. Not bad for $30 hope that's all we will need I doubt it however. I unloaded those for a bit more exercise today.

Good thoughts and prayers going out to Dee & Mr. Dee and Kathryn and her DH, Ken.

Toot-Toot: DH's DAunt gets to go into rehab tomorrow. Her heart rate's normal and she's walking good.

It only showered lightly here once.

DH was carrying stuff from the garage freezer compartment, above the fridge. It was for the garbage in the walk-in pantry to go out on Thurs. because it was too old. He was carrying a jug of iced tea and other things, but then the entire bag to the frozen cinnamon rolls split wide open and went all over the wooden floor. He said something cute, like, "oh, crap!", he rarely swears or says ANYTHING naughty! So it was a funny moment between us today.

We're restocking the freezers with teenage boy foods for grsons' summer visits. They start on July 4 for every other week until August 24. They'll help get firewood, will visit with us and do fun things with us, and it'll be nice. On weeks off from us, I'll write and re-group and the boys will vacation, camp, and go to the parks and on day trips with our Dson & Ddil. They have a very busy, fun, active summer planned. Would hate for anybody to get bored!

Home from meeting, which went well. A committee member followed me home to borrow a book, and we had a nice glass of wine together. I made myself a sandwich after she left and need to walk the dog-boys still. They are about to have a conniption.

Little old lady stuff this afternoon didn't go badly; we discussed at meeting and made a joint decision on their request.

I was at the high school for 4 hours today, but we got all the band uniform pieces tagged (each piece has its own number which is on a tag, along with size) and put in the closets in order. We also pulled out all the reserved uniforms for kids for the fall. 2 students and the other band uniform mom helped me. So, we're done with marching band uniforms until August! Well, the band director now wants me to coordinate with the orchestra parent a day to come in in July to cull the boys' concert uniform shirts. (We share concert uniforms - tuxes and formal gowns - with the orchestras.) Many of the boys' shirts are stained yellow around the neck, etc., and the dry cleaners is just not getting them clean. . . . The band director would like to replace the worst ones. Great idea!!!

Took a short nap when I got home. I was just too tired.

Dfriend called this evening and our lunch date tomorrow has been postponed a couple weeks. That means I have nothing on my calendar for tomorrow! I mean, there are things I need to do, but nowhere I need to be at any particular time. I need a day like that after the social weekend and a busy M and T this week. Awesome!

Kitchen is cleaned up, though pots and pans have not been washed. I am now preparing to edit a set of short essays that dd15 has written as part of her English final. She has written a lot, so this might take a while.

Glad you like your cardiologist, Dee. He does sound good!

Day got worse. IV in. of course after they put in suppository. to go to bathroom. i have to swing around to sitting, pull bed tray over to get my slippers, put them on, stand, move bed tray out of way, step around it, unplug iv machine, negotiate the iv pole around the bed tray and go to washroom which is not large enough for pole, me and door closed. then reverse to get back to bed.

The bowel movement solved my pain issue and unable to breathe deeply so then I was tethered. I talked the night nurse into calling the doctor and he just freed me up again. I hope I didn't make a mistake but my hand really hurts from the iv.

Hope I sleep well. Will be woken at midnight and at 5 but hope for the best in between.

The morning started out sunny but got darker and darker; I kept hearing thunder in the distance getting closer. Finally around noon it was so dark, like dusk; then we had a cloudburst. It rained & stormed for a couple of hours then thundered all afternoon. Ddog Minnie was nervous and hovered around me all day. At one point I had the tvs and computers unplugged. Storm has finally moved on. We ate supper early, about 4:30 pm; about 6 pm I was so sleepy I had to nap. Slept for a couple of hours.

MT, WTG on your walking. It will get easier!
