Strap on your favorite fruit headdress (and maybe a colorful apron ), start up some music, and hop in the traditional conga line. Even though some of your day may be payroll, errands or desk day duties, join your village friends for some additional sweeping, swaying, swishing through your house. Cleaning and clearing a lovely path as we go, all together now… …

Re: Conga Line Friday
Good morning to all! I conga-ed through this morning early and straightened for cleaning lady, who will conga later. I'm heading out to meet with rabbi this morning, bbl.

Re: Conga Line Friday
Love the energy! Thank Harriet for starting us off with such a good vibe.sweeping, swaying, swishing
Yesterday it seem I was constantly changing LO clothes -
** PJ's to swim clothes
** wet swim clothes to dry clothes to come home in
** casual clothes to dress clothes
** dress clothes to ball uniform
** ball uniform to pj's
LO team won their t-ball game AGAIN last night. I thought that was the last bracket of the tournament. Wrong! LO plays again tonight. This will be the sixth ball game this week.
Three generations will take LO with them on their errands this morning. DH and I will meet with our lawyer. If there is a 15 minute window available, I'm going to swing by and weigh-in at WW this morning.
next up -
** Put LO ball uniform in the dryer so it will be ready for next game
** prepare/serve breakfast
** out the door

Re: Conga Line Friday
Good morning! I need to join Harriet in the conga line today. I also will be running errands and doing some desk work.
So glad the t ball team has such a great group of parents and coaches, OK. Our kids aren't super sporty, but to the extent they did participate in organized sports, I know we appreciated supportive and encouraging adults around them. The hyper competitive ones can be a pill sometimes.
Hope the meeting with rabbi went well, Twins.
It was good to hear from Kathryn after her surgery yesterday! Heal quickly and well!!
I need to stay on task today.
Dd17 was out the door this morning at 7:45 to go to. . . .school. Yes, it is finished for the year, but she and the rest of the art club are hoping to finish a wall mural they've been working on this spring. Ds has left for work. Dd15 is still in bed. I've fed the dogs, had my tea, checked emails, and unloaded half the dw - and rewashed most of the glasses.
Maia is busily ripping apart the bag that held food for Pepper before we dumped it in Pepper's dog food bin. She probably shouldn't be doing that, but it is keeping her happy and busy. . . . .
Appts. to work around today:
10:20 - dd15 to pedi for check up
2:45 - S2's two boys here for dd17 to babysit
3:45 - 6:00 dd17's small group here; she says they'll hang out in the play room, which would be helpful.
I kind of wish my afternoon wasn't co-opted by all these people here, but it is what it is. . .. .
I wonder if I can leave Maia to take a shower? Otherwise, I might crate her.

Re: Conga Line Friday
I will be hanging out here until after lunch so we can see how I tolerate solid food for two meals. Except they brought a liquid breakfast. I ate a bit of it because I was hungry (yay!) but am waiting for another one to be brought.
I'm being really lazy in bed and need to get up and move around.
Thanks to all of you for keeping me company through all of this. You guys are the bestest!

Well, we're more bestest when all of us are out of the hospital, so we should see a spike in our bestestcifity this afternoon.
HRH and I have tag-teamed mini Conga Line Friday chores at my parents' house. He had already mowed and went over to spray some suspected poison ivy today. I put a load of laundry in that won't be a wrinkle problem if it waits until dd and I can get back there mid-day. I carried the whole milk and apple juice we try to stock right before they arrive. It's very important today that one of us remains vigilant in the house at all times. My ddad really had a hard morning. He lost a shoe, and that is reason to obsess, postponing breakfast, frantic searches, down on the floor to look when he's hardly able to keep getting back up over and over.

Quick CI: I've done a couple rounds this morning got a shelf de-cluttered in the pantry that feels great! I'm SO glad for that progress. Fighting a bit of a cough this morning. The baby is here holding her now...both car and pick up are out of the shop now!

Re: Conga Line Friday
Good morning, villagers ~
Happy that I don't have to go anywhere today. The library might call if a book I requested through interlibrary loan comes in the mail. If so, I'll probably wait and pick it up tomorrow morning.
I want to be cleaning in grubby clothes, not messing around with makeup and hair and a better outfit to be seen in public.
Must do today:
* DPC for sewing group. (done)
* Update agenda for Tuesday's meeting and send it out. (done)
* Dishes.
* Sort laundry, wash 1 load.
* Tacos for supper
Goals for Friday-Saturday-Sunday:
* FOCUS cleaning in bedroom.
* Finish updating book inventory with purchases from the library book sale. (I couldn't totally resist at 25-50 cents per book. Some I will only keep long enough to read, and then return so they can re-sell them. Some are items I've been searching for a long time, and a few are out-of-print treasures to add to my collection.)
* Check supplies of small size toiletries for camping and sewing retreats. I want to be ready if DH ever decides he's in the mood to camp.
* Write checks to mail tomorrow.
* Speedread a stack of newspapers before recycling them.
* Filing for library and sewing groups.
* Move enough stuff out of the kitchen to mop the floor.
* Plan what we will take to DH's family reunion picnic next weekend. (We will be in charge of arrangements next year, so I need to pay attention this year to what is needed.)
I delayed posting this long enough that 1st 2 must-do tasks are complete. *\o/*
at Maia's puppy enthusiasm at ripping up a bag. Wouldn't we all love to have that much energy?

Re: Conga Line Friday
Morning y'all...
I'm done with my morning routine. Laundry is half done...one load is folded and put away, the other is on its way. Kitchen is done, but I'm about to make another mess. I am meeting with friends later this afternoon and need to prepare dinner before I go. Also want to vacuum the living and master bedroom areas. That should take about 25 minutes or so. I want to be out of the house by about 2 so everything is quite do-able.
Thanks for the suggestions Harmony. After I posted yesterday,Sweetie shared with me that one of the things he wanted to do is visit the memorial garden where his mom is. We've never seen it since she was placed there and understandably it is something important for Sweetie to do. That meant a change in plans as his mother is in Sarasota. So after much time searching yesterday we've decided to spend a week on Sanibel Island. Neither one of us have been there and I've been able to find a place that suits us. And I am excited...so is Sweetie
We have't had a "get away" like this in a very long time. Our romance began on a beach and this is a way to remind each other of our relationship.
Yesterday provided a bit of excitement here in the desert. Willis is always on the hunt for lizzards. Besides chasing the birds off of the grass its his other favorite activity. When I let Willis out the door he headed straight for his best hunting bush. Lizards like to hide there because it provides shade and a bit of water. Suddenly there was a great commotion and the next thing I saw was Willis chasing what I thought to be a gecko ....a very large lizard. Nope...this thing was fuzzy with a tail...turns out it was a desert squirrel. Geesh that thing could run and so could Wilis. They ran all over the backyard, under the grill and patio furniture. Finally the squirrel climbed up the backside of my house stopping to perch on the top side of the window. Poor thing would come down for a very long time. Not that i blame him...
As for my mama quail and her clutch...we keep waiting. I have the camera sitting on the dinning room table hoping I'll be able to catch the moment when it happens..but not sure if that will happen.

Re: Conga Line Friday
All is chaos in my house. I have totes and baskets in every room, only half full. Cabinet doors are open so I won't forget anything. Fridges/freezers still need to be emptied.
I have most of the food in the MH. Now working on spices and other behind the scenes cooking items, corn starch, chicken stock, etc. etc.
Clothes are almost done. Found the 4(!!!) sweatshirts and 2 (!!!) pair of sweat pants DH accused me of throwing away. I asked multiple times if he had checked the MH. Sheesh!!
Have all documents needed for getting new enhanced driver's license. These are the ones you can use instead of passports for Canada and Mexico.
Have all backup med/vitamins in basket as well as basket of ones we are currently using. (You would think there isn't a drugstore on almost every corner to get more Vit C, wouldn't you?)
Next up is drink more water and then go pack more stuff in the MH.
Belated Happy Birthday to Elizabeth.
KIC - so glad you are doing better. Thank you Ken for keeping us up to date.
