Happy Anniversary Sunny and Mr Sunny

Sending blessings and good thoughts to you and so many in village with cares and concerns. Prayers going up as I read this thread. Lots of prayers.

Today - Sunday - is our third sunny day in a row. That's a record in recent weeks. Nights and mornings are what passes as cold here. Of course - that's the thing about clear skies. And warmer days that would pass for summer in some parts.

Lucylee: is your town large enough for a Crohn's support group? Maybe having her attend a meeting or two will open her to the idea of taking care of herself. When your ddad was sick, she didn't have time for such a thing but meeting others, especially completely new people, might open up a new world to her.

I think I'm going to nap now. I have been on the zero gravity chairs outside, started on the balcony and moved to the sunnier deck because I was cold. Have started reading but I think I'll try napping to the tv now. And lying down more flat. My body is tired and sore.

I had the second half of the serving of rice and beef at 2 and just had some crackers with PB and some milk for my second meal. Dh will make me a small burger for dinner.

Ds just walked through the door from work (overnight last night) and a Spartan run today. He's very muddy. He'll shower for 35 minutes and then go to bed until 10 p.m. when he goes to work again (overnight) and does another Spartan run tomorrow. He says he has no new wounds today.

I did nap about 90 minutes. Dh made me a burger for dinner and I had half of it. The rest is in the fridge for 'later.' I also had a raw carrot, grated, that tasted WONDERFUL!

After dinner, I loaded the dishwasher and then dh took me for a walk the full length of the street (a cul-de-sac). Earlier we had walked down the driveway, across the street, about another 100' to the stop sign and back. And in the morning I went out the garage, part down the driveway and back across the lawn to the front porch. So there's improvement there. Walking both hurts and helps. The doc said frequent, short, walks. So as long as it stays cool enough, we'll do that.

Not sure what plans I have for this evening. Nothing exciting.

Thank you all for the many warm wishes for our Anniversary! Dh says thank you, too. It was exactly 45 years ago we started our married life together. I am amazed to think that much time has passed when is seems like yesterday!

((Hugs)) for all here in our Village who are not feeling well, recovering from accident or hospital (Mr. Dee, Kathryn, Nancy, Twins dd, Elizabeth's dd, MT, Cowinkie, etc.) Or those who just need a ((hug)). Guess we all could at one time or another!

MT, sorry you are feeling anxious about your summer travels. And Lilac about your upcoming reunion!

Today was the graduation picnic for dgd18. We had a nice afternoon with both local dsons' families (minus ds#1 who had to work) and ddil#2s extended family (her dmom & dad, her daunt, and her dcousins; a few family friends of ds#2 & ddil, a couple of teacher friends of ddil#2 and a few dfriends of dgd18. In all I think there were around 36 people there. Ddil said not everyone came that they were expecting. There was lots of good food and so much left over that it was divided up among a lot of us. The weather here was overcast all day, which kept it from getting overwhelmingly too hot, but it was a little humid. Several of us were getting headaches by the time we were ready to leave. It was nice visiting with ddil's dmom & ddad ( the ones who live about 3 hours north of us). They are the ones who are building a log cabin house and are near finishing it; they've been living in it for over a year now. She's the one who does quilting and showed me pictures of the room she has set up for her sewing. She has invited us to come sometime and spend the day with them.

Harriet, hope dnephew's wedding turned out well.

Tomorrow we are meeting dfam#2 for a late lunch at a restaurant in our downtown called O'Keef's for Father's Day (and our anniversary)...their treat they said! We've eaten there before and food is good.

I did a few quick basic weekend chores this morning before we left for the park and I will finish the rest tomorrow morning.

We had a weird sunset this evening. Because of the overcast clouds the sky turned a murky grayish yellow then turned to a grayish rosy pink; different, but not the prettiest I've ever seen! Have a good evening everyone.

Quiet evening on the internet.

I was having an orange for my last 'meal' of the day but I am not sure it is agreeing with me. Dd called so I didn't get my drugs quite on time but I'm having trouble breathing deeply due to pain now. Sigh...

Will head up to bed, I guess, although I should probably stay up a bit longer in order to digest some of this orange. At least it tasted wonderful.

Dd posted a video of dsil's convocation. And I FB linked to an adorable FB video of babies playing with elastics on cupboard handles. It hurts so much to laugh but I just had to watch it. I'm wondering how many of the SHEs on FB will see a link to the same video over the next day or two.

Went to the open air mkt. had to buy eggs!
Dad's day B.B.Q. was a hit @ dson's!
I got to feeling better as the day went on.
Dgd & dd both got new sewing machines!
