Monday Movement

Post by Kathryn-in-Canada »

Ah, a clever play on words to start our week.

I have to manage movement of two sorts today.

What movement have you planned for this morning, today, this week?

I'm up.

Pretty good night. Shortness of breath is my biggest issue today, I think. Not sure how much is due to operation, inactivity, allergies or narcotics. Can't imaging singing. My voice is still very rough as well from the anesthetic.

Went 5 hours between evening and middle of night dose and almost 6 between middle of the night and morning doses so I'll be phasing back the narcotics unless my moving around brings on more discomfort.

I'm having tea and chocolate now. Ds is up. He went to bed around 3 yesterday and stayed in bed until about 7 this morning. He woke up at 6:30 p.m. last night thinking it was 6:30 a.m. today (his watch is on 24 hour time but he thinks it got knocked off that during the cleaning of the watch after the run.) Then again at 1 a.m. He's having cereal and berries now.

I'm trying to "Move it, move it, move it!" Having a hard time moving at all -still tired after a relatively good night. Blood sugar was too low (for me -71) and I'm still a bit shaky after eating breakfast and having some juice. Now I have to move my meds from their containers to my 2-week supply. Then it's dishes. Dh's nurse will be here in about 45 minutes so want to get things done before then. I don't know -"moving" pretty slow! :?

Glad to see you on the mend, Kathryn.

GD got to FL in good order -only the plan was for Dsonil to pick her up at the plane's gate. Of Course! No GD. They finally found her waiting in 'baggage' of which she had NONE. Her orders were quite specific to wait for her dad to get her at the plane.

Oh dear, here they come to start our pumps again. NOISE plus! Water is still building back there. But at least it's only water and will dry eventually. -not the fires that so many are going through or total destruction.

Okay, you're totally in my thoughts and prayers.

Just got back from a morning jog. Dh couldn't join me. I'm off to s2s now before meeting friend for coffee at B and N at 10:15. That will be my morning. Afternoon: groc. store and prepping house for committee meeting here tonight. I sort of wish dh hadn't been quite so quick to offer our house as a meeting place; I don't know these people very well and I feel self-conscious of imperfections in my house. . . I probably shouldn't; this is a church committee after all. If I can't be imperfect with them, then something is very wrong. . .

Glad to see Kathryn feeling better.

helia, blessed was again taking photos as she walked into/through her house the other day. I just think that is so smart - like "two sets of eyes are better than one" to zero in on the obvious changes you can make to bring order to the home. So often we miss noticing what we see every day.

Monday Movement - has everyone been getting enough water lately? Are there fresh fruits available to you or do you need to stock your fruit bowl? Or do you have frozen fruits for certain dishes you like? What about veggie sticks, so perfect for easy additions to meals. Have you planned activity/exercise? White flours in moderation, whole grains part of the menu?

((Dee's family)) Maybe these things need to be written down.. ... he must have gotten worried when he didn't see her.

Glad Kathryn's ds got enough sleep after all.

I have some DPCs. Also it is Desk Day. A load of laundry needs to be folded.

Home from meeting at nine. My motivation stinks.

I need to be out of here at 1:15ish to pick up dMom for a dr appointment. I called her to remind her this morning on the way to the meeting and had to leave a message, she called and left me a message asking whether she had an appointment today, then I called her back and she didn't answer and I left another message and she called me back. She also tried to tell me she didn't need to go - this is the podiatrist - and I told her that I checked her toenails last week and she indeed does need to go. :?

I need to text the guy that can come tomorrow to hang some heavy pictures that tomorrow is good.

Might work on rest of a.m. routine, or just veg out.

Moving on auto pilot today here and a bit at a time is still forward progress. I've adjusted the chicken's feeding schedule a bit giving them more but fewer times during the day thus eliminating the midday [ten & noon] feedings to free me up when I have other things to do seems to be working out well.

We took out the kitchen trash this morning. I've done my journaling and have done a letter to my dsis. Dish washer is rebooted.

I'm feeling better coughing less but just enough to remind me not to over do it today.

There was a movie we wanted to see but I decided I was not up to sitting in a cold movie house so we will rent the one titled "Olympus has fallen".

I'm having some tea now. My B.S. was good today.

All right...morning routine is done and I'm settled in here at my desk with a cup of coffee. I need to pay some bills due this week, but I wanted to cuop here first.

Thank you Cowinkie and Dove for the anniversary wishes. We had a busy weekend with the graduation picnic on Saturday and lunch out yesterday with dfam#2 for Father's Day. O'Keefe's is a traditional Irish restaurant, but with lots of other flavors and choices. A great place to visit if you're ever in the area... http://www.okeefestavernonline.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/OKeefesTavern?fref=ts (Gee, sorry if this sounds like a commercial, but we did have a nice time.)

Feel better Nancy. Glad you are improving Kathryn.

I'd better get started with my desk duties. I also want to download pictures from my camera from the last couple of weeks. I'll start a lol when I take a break to walk around. Wishing all a good Monday Movement...

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

I didn't even turn the computer on since Thursday. So I will reward myself by reading what all you gals been up to. Glad to see Kathryn is home.

Typical holiday weekend at WM. Lots of families in shopping for Dad. Had more than my usual number of men trying clothing on in the fitting rooms. Men hardly ever try things on, while women try tons of things on. Ladies were trying things on too, they usually shop for Dad and/or husband and get something for themselves too. And of course, lots of call-ins because it was a holiday. So that made it more hectic for the ones who did show up and work.

Today I have the laundry going. The washer and dryer are both humming along. Dishwasher going too. The house looks like a typical Monday house.

Dbrother is doing so very well. I started giving him the prescription pain killers when he goes to bed at night and he seems to be better rested in the morning. I'm thinking he couldn't quite explain to me how he is feeling but his body was not resting as well as it could.

Going to just putter along at the house. The washer just called out to me that is done with a load and the dryer shouldn't be too far behind it. Isn't it great that our appliances talk to us?

Great day to all!
