48*- 69* Today's temp. range. This cold and the humidity makes it harder to breath than normal for me.
Cha cha cha! Here today's conga-ing in cluded making the bed, spiffing up the kitchen, clearing some stuff on the table off.
The chickens got fed, No eggs again today. =( ~sigh~ I guess the hens do not like this wet rainy weather we are having either it's cooled off considerably.
The baby is here and seems happy enough so that helps. Having coffee now! (_)P

helia, when you jog and redo your resume you make the rest of us look good.
Harriet, if you actually SAW me jog IRL and realized how l o n g it is taking me to get my resume together, you might not think so. . .
Hot day here; will get up to mid-80s.
Everything is going so. slowly. I feel like I'm swimming against the current. . .
Done:
x WW - up 0.9 lb. Not too bad considering I haven't been tracking and I've been eating at will for 2-3 weeks now. . . .
x phone message from dfriend S - no little boys for dd17 to watch today
x checked online bills; our CC is so very high; we're almost at the limit - and we pay it in full every month.
x found hard copy of bill to go over with dh
x talked on phone briefly with dfriend who is organizing lunches for the inner city Detroit church VBS which we run each July. I typically take the first lunch.
Next round. I'm going to keep it short and specific. Maybe that will help me feel productive.
- go over CC bill with dh
- lunch
- cards prepped for the mail

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Good morning, gals. Conga, huh! Guess I better and get busy and do that! Oh! I am! Awoke at 3:20, went for br break. Cold out here, so turned on furnace. Went back to bedroom "noticed" dh was lying outside the covers, but turned off the fan. While later I put my arm over there and dh wasn't even in the bed.
Said he came out to the recliner about 1:20. Could not get back to sleep. Went to br again about 5:30, 6am I heard the alarm and then heard dh turn the TV on. He didn't realize it was so loud -until he put in his hearing aid. I finally gave up around 6:30 came out & slowly got myself around.
Hospital called a while ago to see how he was doing. Need to call the cardiologist's office again in a while to 'confirm' his appointment. Hosp wanted us to call there in 4 days for a follow-up after this discharge. They had told me yesterday follow up with him was to be in 4 days -not what the paper says. So I called again this morning, since I hadn't heard back from that office. She called dh later & said he has an appointment for July 11th. That was his OLD appointment so not sure that's right. Will ask his visiting nurse (stupendous btw) and if she thinks it should be sooner then perhaps I'll have her call the gal we know there (not the one I talked to who seems to regularly get things mixed up -(she's the one who told dh not to go off Plavix before his angiogram when heart surgery was planned for the next day -had to wait for 5 days to get it out of his system) to confirm the appointment. Seemed strange to me that they wanted dh to see family dr and very next day see the cardiologist.
DDIL#1 & DGS8 just brought Dh his Father's Day/Early Birthday present -a zero gravity chair. Sure Kathryn knows how valuable that is right now. Hope you're stronger each day, Kathryn. Dh is a little bit past square one now. Have told him he cannot drive his yellow Cushman around (it screams "I'm working" and he's not). Told him to take our golf cart when he feels he wants to go around some. It's amazing how people talk in this small community. "I saw him out on the cart". Right -not working!!
Seems good to be home. I did a load of laundry this morning -early, early. Took dh up for his shower in the meantime. Now I'm just puttering, puttering -putting things away. First statements from the hospital were opened today. We're up to over $56,000 for the surgery & his angiogram so far. Know everything's not in. At least we don't have to pay that! Thank God! Do have a $15 co-pay for the hospital. Paid a $65 copay for this week. Spent nearly $100 for meds last week that he now can't take and another $100 yesterday for his new ones.
But not complaining -could be worse! Dh just asked me last week if we really needed the $$ sent to us from his IRA each month. Uh, yeah -just for all this sort of thing. This has been an expensive month with all the medical, extra car expenses, car and home owner's insurance all due by the 22nd. Guess that's tomorrow. Every month it's something "extra" it seems. And that $$ takes care of it so far. Next year it will be much more medical I'm afraid -for premiums. I keep thinking about taking FL residency to reduce that, but am afraid to change with all dh's needs right now.f
If he was still a Kodak retiree (instead of it being sold to ITT) we would have no choice. All retirees lost their health coverage Jan. 1. Sad to see what's happened to that company in the past few years. In it's hay day, there were 70,000 employees in our city alone, now it's less than 4,000.
Visiting nurse will be here soon. She called yesterday after the hospital called her and said, "What happened?!?!" Have a couple of questions for her so better quickly jot them down before I forget.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Ready for a nap. Uncomfortable right now because I left it too long between advil doses.
Had a productive morning.
1. Stripped and remade bed, including changing the mattress pads.
2. load of laundry washed and onto the line (dh did the latter part for me.)
3. S2s including shaving legs (they ask you refrain from shaving both before and after hospital visits for a while to lessen the chance of random bacteria getting into your system through a nick in the skin.) Also removed the last of the bandages with dh's help. Got most of the adhesive off but missed a spot on my side so left it when it didn't come easily.
4. Said goodbye and good luck to ds. He's got a shift at work and then a weekend in Toronto doing Spartan races. He'll stay with my sister on Saturday night but is sleeping at the race site tonight since he'll be arriving there so late.
5. Visited the retirement home and met with the organist, the activities coordinator and picked up a copy of their hymn book so I know what the organist can play.
6. Did the banking.
7. Lunch out with dh at Tim Horton's. I had half a serving of the chili and half a bun.
8. Groceries (just milk and veggies.)
9. Visit at the general store with the post mistress (who is off work due to liver cancer.) Prognosis is very bad. They are doing chemo now in the hopes they can shrink the tumour and then, maybe, operate.
10. Home, put away the milk and veggies. I'm exhausted and my pain pills were 30 minutes late. I've done almost 5K steps already today so that will add to my exhaustion. I'm going to change out of this skirt because it is too tight on my stomach, and then sit outside with a pillow and a book plus some water and alternate between napping and reading.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Home from WW (.6 lost) and WM. At first I was kinda bummed about not losing more, but thinking back over the week I am now grateful that I didn't gain. I ate out too much and didn't track what I ate closely. I'm taking this as a warning and it has renewed my motivation to get back on track.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Hello. I'm sitting here in a sleepy stupor right now. But I've been peeking in to see how everybody was.
I've had the DGKids here Thursday until Friday lunch time. DH put up a volleyball net and they were constantly wanting to go out and play, though we couldn't stay long in this heat. I can feel all the muscles in my hands, arms, shoulders now. And they have their days and nights mixed up so I ended up not getting a lot of sleep. I am going to take a serious nap here in a bit.
Just wanted to say hi. Glad to see Mr. Dee home. Thinking about Kathryn, all the sermons you have scheduled and the trip; seems like a lot right now.
My toe is still sore but getting better slowly. Someone mentioned Gout...and I'd thought of that but it didn't seem to be the joints that were bothering me. DH came out at 2:00 AM and said he was going to the hospital to get his stitches out. When he had them put in he had to wait almost 3 hours and I guess he complained. They told him when he came back to get them out to come in the middle of the night he wouldn't have to wait. They took him right away. Now he's just using steri strips. So that's progress.
Ok, off to take my nap.

Left Las Vegas, NM, at 6:40 and got the last spot at Colorado Springs Elk RV Parking at noon.
DH can't get the electric to work. But too hot to be outside there now. We can use solar panels to turn on fans and be OK. PLUS!!!! They have a swimming pool. I can get cool there for sure.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Hi, all! Cleaned toilets today. Also have painted the inside of new back door we got last summer. It's long overdue. Now if I could get the outside of it painted. (It does have primer already.)
DH got disappointing news at work this week. His job is secure, but some of the things he was hired to do are not going to be done. That tells me to forge ahead with our work on the house, as we may be selling it sooner than we planned--like next summer instead of in 5 years.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Early wake-up for us today -- phone man came and fixed the phone. No more roar/crackle on the phone line AND the internet seems to be faster, too! Guess it helps to have wires that have NOT been chewed half into by squirrels...
I've been to town, bought make-up, picked up ironing, now need to go get upholstery fabric.
Also need to do some laundry and reconcile checkbook.
Waving to ALL!!!
