I took the afternoon off and just rested. Not feeling any better.

Listening to the afternoon report they commented about the freeway between here and Toronto being closed about 2.5 hours from here (but possibly open again.) Then they shared a tweet from someone stopped just an hour from here. Thinking about how far back the traffic is messed up, I'm thankful that I'm not traveling there today (I will be on Sunday) and then remembered that ds was leaving at 6 for Toronto. Got a hold of him and told him that since he's leaving from the city, he should take the alternate route. He'll have a long drive (that one has a max speed of 50 mph) but either route will be long because of the traffic tie-up.

Dh has just gone to get pizza for himself. I'm having leftover steak and salad for my second dinner (my first was soup and a muffin.)

While he's gone, I think I'll load the dishwasher so there will be counter space for him when he gets here.

Hi everyone. Disaster has finally struck, XDH has given me his W2 and I will have to start paying child support again. I can't complain too loudly, because it is what I have to do, but my last year W2 has a much higher salary than I am currently commanding. I have been getting paid for about 3 days out of each month for a while now. When I told him that my next year W2 will be much lower he had an odd comment: "That means I'll have to start having to fund my retirement." What the phooey? I will calculate the amount this weekend and get the paperwork together.

DFosterCat11's skin troubles are due to allergies with subsequent infection. She got an antibiotic shot and liquid medicine for once a day. That is hard, but she is not contagious. I have her in the sewing room anyway, so I can find her at meds time.

Last night, DD11 and I went to the library for my inter-library loan for her. It is The Strange House at Newburyport, a good choice for a child who is fascinated by the Civil War and on the side of the abolitionists (that slight increase in Earth's angular momentum is due to her Southern ancestors spinning in their graves). She did not want to go anywhere so I could finish her crocheted vest and start on a crocheted baby golden dragon. I got one row done on the latter. XDH sent over what he had of our china and crystal from our wedding. The other woman has her own. I needed the china badly. The crystal needs a wash.

Tonight, I am going to the knit/crochet group at the yarn store. I will also find out how the yarn bombing crew meetings have been going and see if we have any items made. After that, I need to do some cleanup and LOL.

Went for a walk with dh but did the 'short' block because I wasn't feeling well. It was nice to be outside at 8:45 and it not be dark yet.

I'm having a cup of tea to see if that revives me any.

Edited to add: Nope! I'm off to bed. Not feeling sleepy either, but not feeling well enough to be productive.

I slept soundly for almost 4 hours. Wow. Woke up and felt normal for a while. Know I'll be back to sleep tonight though. Geeze, that was a lot of fatigue. No more backyard vollyball and staying up half the night for me.

Thank you, OKay. I went straight to our news to find out. As I was reading, there was only news that 4 have been transported to hospitals. Hope there are no deaths.

Just finished a workout with dd.

Half our air conditioning has gone out. We called the man.

I put the videos down stairs today. After the baby left I pulled some weeds in the back yard. Then we went to dinner and h. took in the car show. While I got a few groc. items. Glad I was able to be out and about a bit this afternoon and evening but did not do as much as I normally would. Night meds. taking I'm going to 'help' h. watch some of his shows tonight and doze on the couch aka going to turn in early.

The baby's mom that I watch is going to be a supervisor and going to full time might be more hours. I survived this week so that is the good news.
