I tried to post this yesterday but it would not work; ...went to the farmer's mkt. and h. went to the show n shine I did a couple other stops and moved the car to the other end of the streets so h. only had to walk one way. Then we went to lunch so he could rest and then did a store run.

Got home and I'd been out in the morning doing yd. stuff the kitchen was not as clean as I like for hauling in groc. bags.

I got about half of what I wanted to do out side and that is more than I expected to be able to do so I'm pleased! Breaking things in to smaller segments can really help with getting things done and not over-doing it.

I wanted to pull some weeds before I mowed after the rain this week and got that done. Put away the wagons and wheel burrow. After that my bs was great! Yea!

I suppose I need to go spiff up the kitchen after planned left overs for dinner.

We are at the Moose in Cheyenne, WY. Nice quiet site in the back of a big lot.

Now to find a place to buy a new printer and I'll be a happy camper.

It would be nice to find somewhere for a late lunch, too.

Quick post here as sky is dark and I hear thunder.

Not much happening at Sunny's house --- just the usual weekend stuff. Ds#1 brought dgsons 9 & 7 and dgd12 to visit yesterday. Dgd16 and ddil were not feeling well so they stayed home. We hadn't heard from ds#2 until just now. They are running late, but are on their way.

I worked for a couple of hours in the front and side gardens, weeding, trimming dead palm branches and cutting saplings down that were growing in the lily bed. Some of the lilies are still blooming, so it looks nice now. I also trimmed a hibiscus bush in the front. All done I had a large garden trash bag full. It all looks a lot neater now.

I finished just in time, we are getting a storm now so will turn off and unplug the computers.

Settled into the hotel. I'm definitely not feeling 100%, or even 100% of a couple of days ago. Probably too much excitement.

Dh and I are going to walk out for a light dinner. Dh had 1.3 pieces of fish (I had .7 of a piece with the coating taken off) and chips (I had about 18 fries, plus a salad I had brought from home.) That was at 3 so dh isn't hungry for a big dinner. I've got enough leftovers brought from home for both my dinners but we'll go find sandwiches or something.

The hotel is lovely. Our view isn't of the open lake but towards the waterfront parks of the city (we are on a pier jutting into the lake.) We have a chaise-lounge and a chair with foot rest, a table and a desk. The kitchen is just stove top, full fridge and big microwave but that is enough for me. I don't need an oven here (when we summered in Long Beach, we used the oven all the time because I was cooking dinner every night.)

We have a 'french balcony' (sliding doors open onto a railing so we can lean out but not step out.) And both the bed and living room have big windows so the view is from everywhere in the room except the desk (even from the shower if you leave the bathroom door open!)

Nancy, that's kind of you to try to be aware of the neighbor's showing times. But if they are chicken-smart buyers they know the hens won't cause residents any bother. It would probably make the agent more comfortable, though! I was so interested in blessed's area's rent-a-hen-house program. It's like New York's rent-a-bike program! Just keep as long as you enjoy, I guess, and let the next person take care of them! LOL

Well, I have given up my Herculean attempts at trying to arrange this sleepover. The reason we can't have the other girl over here tonight is that her father is working from home right now and he needs quiet in his house. Obviously, they are either not listening or they have an agenda we can't understand right now. Time to drop the subject.

Another friend (the big sister of the handicapped child I've often mentioned) is having dental surgery Tuesday, and their family is hoping dd14 can spend Monday night with them for girl-fun sleepover, then be available to take over for big sister while she sleeps it off and mother attends her. Dd can help as a playmate for the very needy little sister. (After just a few hours their usual nurse-therapist will arrive to take over little sister's needs/exercise.) So this is plenty socialization for us to provide dd, and it's probably going to the household who will appreciate it most.

I have a new printer and it worked via wifi the first time. I never could get my old printer to work via wifi.

We tried to stop at one restaurant but a 9 mo was screeching so that I couldn't even hear DH. So we walked out. Went to Bu rger K ing and had a chicken wrap.

Printer I bought is an Ep son 2540 for $99. I also bought a 2 yr. service plan, a new usb cord and more ink. It is smaller than my old printer and fits behind my chair. I also like that I can copy by putting the pages in the feeder and don't have to lift the lid every time.

Now to throw away all the packing materials and install printer on DH's computer.

I walked a fair distance (probably close to 1.5 miles) to and from dinner. On the way there people kept passing us with ice cream. Turns out there's two artisan ice cream places within 2 blocks of here. I'm pretty sure ice cream is a bad idea for me but the second place has gelato which is lower in fat so I might try there later in the week. If I pick a flavour dh likes, we could share.

We had dinner at Subway and I ended up eating a whole 6" sub. Won't have a second dinner tonight as a result just some fruit in a while. Walking after was much slower but we still went a fair distance, having to double back and get milk (we walked past the convenience store once and were within 60' of it a second time but didn't see it so came back to the hotel and were sent back the way we had just come.) I ended up buying 4 litres of milk (comes in 3 plastic pouches) because it was almost a $1 less than buying 2 litres of milk. There's no container for the plastic pouch here so I put the milk in the covered saucepan and stuck that in the fridge.

I'm exhausted. This is the first day in a long while where I haven't had a nap.

I'm loving this hotel room. The ferry goes by regularly and a sea plane coasted into the marina just below our room. The marina was empty when we came but now that it is getting late, it is filling up as people come back in off the river and lake.

There's a walking path along the water so we have lots of places we can walk that have interesting views. And it is very windy here (there's a wind farm just across the water from us) so even if it stays as hot as they predict, we'll have cool places to sit.

Hello again ~
DH and I are having a quiet day at home. We did go to the truck stop for a chicken veggie wrap for lunch, but otherwise he's been happy in his mancave watching tv. I took a long nap with the calico cat and have been doing various chores here and there. Almost ready to turn on the tv and watch yesterday's sewing shows from public tv.

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox to try for internet. I've been having trouble with fb this weekend and don't know if it's that site or my older version of IE.

The lone kitten in the garage has grown up enough to crawl out of its tall box nursery. I'm glad because that box and the old blanket inside are filthy and I want to trash them, but I've been afraid to move the kitten for fear its mom would abandon it. (This was her first litter and she abandoned the 1st 3 kittens born outside the box.) We'll give it a couple of days to get used to being out running around, and then try to relocate it to the shed behind the garage. I don't want it to get used to running around under my car. It is already eating kitten chow with no problem, although not old enough to be fully weaned yet.

I did a lot of walking yesterday in the park. Today I've been trying to "sneak in" arm exercises whenever I have room to reach out.

DH is unhappy with the weather forecast for this week: storm, storm, storm, storm, storm.

Kathryn ~ Your hotel sounds wonderful.

Hugs all. Blessing for the mending of souls, minds, bodies.
Take those blessings as needed.

I need a soul mending monday today.
I need to rest after washing yesterday.

Last night I has an itchy reaction - realizing it was the same bread I'd eaten before my time with red spots back in April/May - so - more turmoil - things to do. I'd already taken an antihistemine with evening - offending toast etc meal.
Besides food stuff - some plasticy things are are a problem - worse some times than others.
I'm mostly a natural fiber person , but use things with lycra and elastane. So stripped off all of the above garments and found cotton undies/singlet that I could step into with no stretch. scarf to line the foam sling, a mans size hanky for inside the arm loops. The shawl that I'd made a round body sling from was becoming irritating so found a large cotton scarf to take over there. Tried some vit e cream to quell my body itch reaction too.
Yep - last night by bed time I was done in. I also swapped any synthetics I'd been sleeping with just in case I 'd react to them too. So more energy trying to arrange all that one armed, land propped sideways with the good arm down and the broken shoulder uppermost. supported. all of me properly under covers. That in itself is an exercise easily ending in tears.

Satutdays pushing a babywipe around with a rubber broom and later mushing the worst dirt spots with a toe was tame by comparison.
yep - the washing was exhausting too. I could have done with help there. I'd worried about the weather changing. so wanted it done yesterday - plus it was a load. And I like to keep up.
Turns out there are more sunshiny days forecast.

breakfast is eaten. Epsom salts has cured the pain killer problem for today at least.
dog and me went out for a bit. dappled winter sun.
Now to see if I can doze seated amid my cushions a bit today.
and hope the fracture clinic rings me with an appointment. Maybe I just need a gp for follow up if they can't / won't do it soon. Suddenly my choice runs towards those near radiology and bus route.

Kitchen massage of back around shoulder blade ideas. Door frame, wooden spoon, plastic spaghetti server (that was good around corner/ below blade), plastic soup ladle. It all helped. Spaghetti lifter thingo was the best last night after all the stress of getting changed, and itching was already better..

Sending healing wishes to all in need.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
