Dee - do a search for Tablemate. I use it all the time as you can make it different heights, slope, etc. And it folds away when not in use. I just slide it under my couch.

It would be good if Mr. Dee wanted to eat out on the patio, too.

We are parked at the Moose in Gillette but have no wifi this morning. So I am at the surf and suds, doing laundry and doing my internet thing.

Thanks for that info, MT. Looks pretty interesting and might be just what I need. Have to see if I have any clearance under my couch. I don't think so, but will look, but I might be able to use it right next to my chair here -turned away from the table or even the recliner. Will be checking.

popping in quickly. No time to properly cuops. Busy day so far, and I need to leave again in 20 minutes.

Went to bed too late last night after watching Minority Report with ds and dh, jokingly in honor of our new one-eyed cat. How's that for dark humor? Then, it took me a while to get to sleep, finally around 1 a.m. This all meant that dh and I got off to a late start this a.m.

x jog w/ dh; didn't go well for either of us. It felt cool but was actually pretty humid. I sweat buckets, clothes were pretty wet when I got back.
x s2s, a couple emails, made tea to drink on my next outing
x went to dfriend's home, rode with her and her 2 boys (ages 3 and 7) to the airport, drove their car back to their home, got in my car and drove home (10:15 - 12:00)
x lunch
x paid online bills
x looked at some job postings online; nothing exactly what I'd like so far.
x printed out map to next errand, haircut in neighboring village about 25 miles away

In 15 minutes, I'll leave for next round of outings, 1:10 - 4:00, I'm guessing, with driving time
- drop off dd15 at dfriend's house
- haircut
- pick up dd15

This evening, dfriend A is coming over for dinner. I'm making chicken cacciatore, steamed asparagus, bread, possibly fruit - and corn on the cob, which is sort of a random food selection. It doesn't really go with that meal, but the corn sure looked good in the groc. store.

Off to start the breadmaker before leaving.

Morning y'all...

I am focusing on decluttering different parts of my home today. Its also laundry day so that fits in nicely with the other chores I am doing.

We are facing an extreme heat alert for the next few days. Highs on Fri and Sat are expected to be 118 ~ 119* Yup, you read that right I'm not sure if I've ever experienced temps that high. 115* is about as high as I can remember. I will keep the shutters closed and hope that the electricity doesn't go out. May have to do what the Native Americans did long ago if that happens. They would take blankets, wet them down and then roll up in the blankets. In extreme heat the evaporation rate here is very high...so the wet blanket acts as a swamp cooler.

Looks like the next few days will be good for book reading and movie watching...its gonna be a slow cooker few days as well.

I'm finally coming back through....

Most important thing, I think is to get package to DD into the mail. That will require a trip to Target or somewhere for additional items to send. She sounded kind of pitiful yesterday, saying that if I sent something now it would be there for her birthday next week. So I've got the stuff I have into a box and will try to round up some more stuff. (Occurred to me that Cowinkie's book recommendation from yesterday might be an idea?) The post office that is toward downtown is open until 5 while the one in the other direction is open until 4:30.

So I'm off - the goal is a trip to Target, post office and cleaners. May be some other stops as I'm out. I have some emails/phone calls that need to be made, emails could be done after I get home, and phone calls could go until tomorrow.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Been a busy week for me, either cooking, cleaning or roaming.

Got the laundry done, made three salads, macaroni, potato and carrot salad. Meals are easy, just add a grilled hamburger.

Gave our bedroom some attention too. DH has a satellite man coming Saturday and he'll need to look at the connection in our room.

Worked on bathrooms today and tried to do just a little extra. Tomorrow is floor cleaning.

Tuesday, Dson23 asked us to the hot dog restaurant. I had never been, it was kind of fun. I got something called the dog bowl, hot dogs with cheese and corn chips all served in a silver metal dog bowl.

Work day for me so going to nap a bit and head out.

It's thundering outside here now so this will be a brief check in. I'm back from a walk, did 10 mi. on the ex. bike this morning too ex. is done! Lunch is over. I've made a pot of chili it sure hits the spot when fighting this cold/crud. Dgd has been picked up by the other granny. BabyN. is napping.

Wow, I seem to have run out of steam from the heat out. Got the package off for dd, along with a few other things that needed to be mailed. At Tar-jay, I picked up gum, M&Ms, nail polish, a paperback Phillipa Gregory book, and Starbucks Strawberry something-or-other cold drink mix. I also found Cowinkie's book, and decided to keep it to read myself first, and mail it to her when I wasn't sending such a heavy package.

For those of you on Facebook, I just posted that she celebrates her 21st birthday on July 2 as a camp counselor, and indicated the address to send birthday card to help her celebrate. That would be a nice surprise if she receives a lot of cards.

I think I'm going to sit down with a book. Cowinkie has proved to be a bad influence again today.
