Awww, Ken, thank you for letting us know. We were all proud of your aquaintance with and comments on the death of Douglas Engelbart - read about him in NYT before knowing of your connection.
I got up late again, have read paper and walked ddogs. Dh and I are thinking of going to Costco today, I don't know what else. He'll be totally bored in front of the TV today. I noted in Health/Fitness that I got the ddogs walk in already.

Ken, thank you for the head's up. (((Kathryn))) I hated to hear this news, but I am glad that you will be in the hospital and can be monitored. Lots of love and gentle hugs, coming your way.

(((Kathryn)))) Thank you Ken for update!
I've sprayed another gallon of weed killer. It is time to stop outdoor doings and come inside where it is nice and cool.
I'm in lazy holiday mode. Not following a schedule or even marking off cards. Just doing this-n-that and going where ever my nose leads me.

Ken, Thank you for the updates. (((((Kathryn)))))
Happy July 4th to everyone!
We're awaiting family to come between noon - 1 p.m. for a b-day party combination July 4th BBQ.
It gets mighty noisy around here late night, with cherry bombs, fireworks, etc... especially on the bay beaches.
Have a good day, Everyone!

((Kathryn))) Thanks Ken for letting us know. Too bad. Praying.
Not cuoping every day, so replies might be outdated...however, if you guys are still reading...
Lilac, Phil doesn't have daughters only sons. He was very strict. Always insisted on obedience and rules, etc. I agree, it is hard to change the methods of discipline once they have been established.
Lucylee, BWTG getting DMom to drs. You can do all those other trips. I'm sure each will get easier as you get used to the routine.
Sunny, have fun with DGKids. How long are they staying? Yikes for the yard flooding. I wish your back room was a little higher.
Hugs for (Twins) and (Dee & DH).
Yesterday: Still taking it easy, but did get some laundry done, some paperwork, couple errands out for DH, dinner with DH's family to celebrate DFiL's 87th bday. He is not doing well. I posted in J&C. He was not even sitting up straight in wheelchair in restaurant and had troubles eating. I think they should have canceled this dinner. He had lots of trouble getting into van after.
DH worked, concrete stuff and it rained off and on. We had a couple very heavy rains. All this rain. Today and tomorrow says the weather channel. I wonder if today's fireworks will be canceled.
Going to a park where our helper is in charge of picnic. Can't see fireworks from there so DH wants to go south into all that traffic nonsense, stay on our side of the river and put planks and chairs up on lumber rack to watch fireworks.
I'd druther not, but last year I bailed, so this time I'll go.

OH NO Kathryn! Thinking of you and saying prayers. I have experienced what you are back in 1973. I know it is awful. Thank you Ken for letting us know.

Re: Independence Day
Hi Norma... in about a week and a half
Thanks once again for letting us know about Kathryn. We love that you do that for us...
I woke up early this morning so I could watch the matches at Wimbledon. My mom is a big tennis fan and watching the games gives us other things to discuss besides her health
The other day I bought new coffee mugs...then decided to buy the matching dishes that went with them. Removed all the store stickers and stuck everything in the dishwasher. My cupboard needed rearranging so I could make my dishes fit. One thing led to another and before I knew it I had rearranged and decluttered my entire kitchen. Sweetie said the kitchen looked like a bomb had been set off...there was no empty counter space to be seen. Worked 4.5 hours before I came here to take a break. I even have dinner cooking in my slow cooker.
We don't have plans for tonight. Its way too hot standing outside to watch the fireworks. Plus many shows have been canceled due to the fires. After Yarnelle no one wants to take a chance on setting any fires. I love a good fire works show like the rest of the world, but not under those circumstances.
I have a few things drying in my sink...off to tackle the last remaining "stuff" gotta go before I run out of steam....
Waving to y'all... Happy 4th of July http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yaetvTj5DE
