Sunday Something

Post by Kathryn-in-Canada »

Hopefully you all can make something out of this day.

Me, not expecting much. I'm running a fever now so feel lousy from that. Internal organ pain is down. Back pain is much higher. Showed ds how I had buttons to move the bottom of my bed up and down but they do nothing and he told me how to get a fully functioning bed, so that is the works now. At least now my insides are healed enough that I might be able to lie on my side.

The heating pad was a god-send last night since I had another shaking episode due to intense pain the and the pad relaxed my muscles enough that the meds could to their work. My overnight was actually quite good and I got 4 hours of sleep, almost.

Something is up with one of the people in the rooms near me, I expect possibly dying as a family member arrived at 2:30 a.m. but they wouldn't let her in to see the patient because the patient was sound asleep.

I now have a new bed that works properly.

And for the first time since getting in here, I can say my pain level is at zero. I've 'eaten' most of my 'breakfast' (will leave the jello because I don't like jello.)

On the other hand, I'm all sweaty from the fever. So I'm not perfect. Doc will be in later. Lisa, my day nurse, is saying I can go down to Tim Horton's if I want a change of pace but since I'm still on clear fluids, I'll pass. She also said I could go out for a 'walk' in a wheelchair but I pointed out I have been walking around the outside of the hospital at night with my son so don't need the wheel chair. At this point, I feel well enough to go preach this afternoon but that's the narcotics talking.

Kathryn, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be so happy when all of this has been taken care of and you are safely at home again. :D

Thoughts & prayers going up to those needing that today. Hoping I can make it to church I've been coughing spells and it seems better now.
Have been out to feed the chickens, the roo has a favorite hen and when she's on the nest box he does the egg cackle like a proud papa or some thing. She's donated a couple eggs to the sitting hen I found out last night. They are like Banty eggs.

H. is still asleep, we were commenting on how tired we seem these days w/out energy I commented on the heat, and for me it's trying to get well after this crud that's taking at least some of my energy by the end of the day I seem better in the a.m.

I've done my journal and blog entries for today, need to get a pen pal letter ready to mail tomorrow, and s2s before church.

Yesterday got some adult gummy vits. and they are melted together so I need to return those.

Check J&C for {{{Harriet's}}} post.

Saw Harriet's post before I came in here. (((Harriet)))

The only thing on my to-do list today is to go to Toronto and pick up dd's car and bring it here. Free parking is better.

Was going to post about what's happening here today (not much) but the day has changed so with Harriet's news.

Walked ddogs in the rain for a short walk. DH and I were starting WW today but when I checked the meeting time, the Sunday meeting is no longer on the schedule. (Not sure whether I should go get the leftover pizza out of the outside refrigerator now....)

We are having our old dneighbor over for supper tonight - we got tuna steaks yesterday at Costco, among a lot of other things. :? I still need a trip to the grocery, however.

-start grocery list
-clear and wipe kitchen counters
-empty the dishwasher
-clear the kitchen table
-straighten G room

I'm also watching the tennis match.

I'm done with that round. Also answered two temple emails.

DH has gone to play tennis - I have a "honey do" list for later if he has time.

-answer another email from yesterday
-clean windows looking out on to back patio
-make the bed
-fold two lols
-straighten MBR
