K in C I remember when xdil had gal bladder surgery and was on a special diet and when she was off it had symptoms you described at least in the beginning.

Today I've gotten on the scales they are the same that is good news b/c of the 40 Wedding ann. celebrating we did last week glad I was able to stay on track with my eating for the most part counting that for a success.

Trash is out to the curb today counting putting sod in that for some of my ex. arms any way!

Good news called the library yesterday as I've misplaced my card and I have a book on request; I can get a replacement card for only $1.oo glad that prob. was so easily fixed.

Up a bit before 5, dgd will be here in a while. No babyN. today. Got the mom's schedule but no guarantees that the baby's dad will pick her up or not as he is having his girl friend watch her. Just as well if I do it and declare it that would put us in a diff. tax bracket so after talking to h. came up with the same thing I did. My time is limited with BabyN. being here. Hoping another door opens. But it is an emotional adjustment for me for sure! [That is surprising me.]

Over the weekend dh was going to wash his motorcycle. He needed to back the pickup out to get it out of the garage. In the process he hit dd1s chiminea that they had brought over on the 4th to do somore's. It was sitting right behind the garage door. Dh had just recently installed a garage door opener. If he would have manually raised it, he would have seen it. He felt terrible and of course, we will pay for a new one. I told him that at least it wasn't a child or pet and can be replaced. Dsil was worried about any damage to the pickup. It's a 1971 GMC and has an iron bumper, it wasn't hurt at all. If it had been a newer vehicle there would have been damage to it. Dsil had told me on the 4th that if he had it to do over again, he would buy a firepit. So now he gets a choice.

Yesterday both dds and I went to neighboring town about 50 miles away. We had lunch at our favorite Mexican food place. Then we hit Hobby Lobby and Bath and Body Works. Also a clothing store. The 2 little girls went to daycare. Dd2 and I had taken them before school was out and they wouldn't behave. She told them she wouldn't take them back anytime soon. We had a nice day together.

Had planned to mow today but the sprinklers ran, so will wait until tomorrow. Today I need to run a bunch of errands.

Nancy, I went online to read about Randy Travis' condition after reading your post. It sounds like he has an uphill battle to recover. We have alway liked him, he sings the more traditional country music that we like.

It's cool out so I have the windows open the roo[still not sure on that LOL?] is clucking like the egg just got laid, I'm not sure what that's about, I just checked and there were no eggs and no hens in the nest boxes except the one broody hen.

Today I noticed that the blackberries are ripe I'm putting on my list go to the berry patch maybe this weekend. Can't take the baby there unless she's in the stroller.

I'm not coughing as much and it's easier to catch my breath and my energy is better the last couple of days so Yea for that! BS was at the best reading I've had for a couple weeks yea!

I noticed on my walk I get more air through my lungs and heart rate is up better than the ex. bike. It was nice to not have kids here early so I could enjoy that!

Hello Dear Ladies,

Stopped by the computer to pay a bill and thought I would wander over here. I'm in the middle of dishes and cleaning the kitchen.

Kathryn, Hoping you get to feeling better. When I had my gall bladder out, it affected my bowels, I didn't go out to a restaurant to eat for a while. I would eat and have to go in minutes, and it was very watery. After awhile it settled down. It was months before it settled down.

Glad to see Harriet here from yesterday.

Going back to work on the dishes and hoping to clean the bathrooms today. Maybe work on getting the fridges clean.

I know I need to get out and walk (a lot) more, Nancy. You're an inspiration.

Spent last 1/2 hour trying to find addresses for ddil#2 for b'day party invites for dgs -almost 1 year -tomorrow. That flew by! He is such a joy and so much fun to watch even through pics and videos.

My db joined fb today so I can now 'harass' him a little bit. I don't have an account but post through dh's.

Dh Is down taking his shower for dr. visit. I'm afraid he's somewhat decided to push ahead regardless of how his body feels. He's setting goals as of today and I'm pretty sure he's not ready for that kind of push. Know he's frustrated with not being able to do much more than sit. I just don't want someone picking him up off the floor/ground.

Having a birthday bash here for dgs1 on the 21st. We want to have a big one for dh but his health just doesn't cooperate. He will also be a 50-year cancer survivor in November (Hodgkins Disease). So dd wants to celebrate this summer while she's here.

The answer for digestive upsets after gall bladder surgery is Cholestyramine or colestyramine (Questran, Questran Light, Cholybar). I was to the point of not going anywhere because of it and finally was able to get a Dr. to listen to my symptoms. One little teaspoon in a bit of OJ each morning made such a difference in my life. I took it for 2 years and now have no problems at all.

We are getting ready to go out and about. I know groceries and a stop at drugstore are on the list -but I don't know what else.

The nurses are convinced my problems last night were caused by the enema. After the GB removal, I took it easy on eating and didn't have any of the diarrhea complication which is quite a common complication. Of course, I hadn't gone back to a full 'normal' diet yet. With the stones loose in my system, I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to regular eating, now. It seems I may end up having to stick with the extremely restrictive low-fat diet for pre-GB removal patients since too much fat apparently is what triggers the stones to irritate me.

I'm home now. My computer is busy doing 2 week's worth of updates now that it back on a fast network and I'm going to be watching all the videos and looking at all the pictures I didn't dare look at before.

I'm heating up rice and ground beef chowder for my first meal. Picked up some butternut squash soup at the pharmacy so I can have that at some point as one of my meals.

I'm a bit dizzy due to meds (took them at the pharmacy after filling the Rx.) Lots of hugs from ds.

House is hot, humid and smells stuffy. Dh changed the sheets and towels while I was in the hospital so at least those will be fresh. I'm turning on ceiling fans in the rooms as I walk by.

On the way up to see my dad yesterday (he was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning with another large clot in the other leg and the leg is very swollen) we drove through some very heavy rain on flooded streets. On the way home, we drove through more heavy rain and flooding but further south than earlier. Got to the last set of lights before our place and the police were directing traffic. Our wipers were going full speed and we couldn't see the police officer, just his car at the side of the road.

Got home at 8:30 and the neighbour said power had been out since 6. We sat here last night with candles lit and the only sound was the grandfather clock ticking. If it wasn't for my B lackberry, we could have been in the 1800's.

I realllllllllllly didn't want to go in to see my dad last night. It's the first contact since I "quit" last Thursday. He didn't say much but he did actually hold my hand and he kissed me on the cheek before we left. When we got there he was eating dinner. (Ham steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, ginger ale, cranberry juice, a very ripe pear and a small container of tapioca pudding. He didn't eat the pear.)

My dad has a C.T. scan scheduled for right now, and my brother stayed at the hospital last night and will be there for the scan.

Toronto had the most rain ever last night. 132 cm (I think) Major power outages all around the greater Toronto area. Some awesome pics on the web, including a Lamborgini. That pic is getting a lot of comments on F ace boo k.

Happy Birthday to this forum! I'm so very thankful it exist.

I took LO to stay with DMom while I ran to grocery store. DMom & LO have an extremely close relationship and enjoy spending time together. However, I can tell it tires DMom after about an hour, so I seek ways for them to spend time together while trying to limit the length of time of each visit.

DMom had found webworms in her pecan tree and was trying to cut them out herself. I did it using a telescoping tree cutter.

Lunch is homemade lasagna. It should be ready to pull out of the oven in about 20 minutes. Smells wonderful.
