Finally Friday

Yesterday got up earlier and the extra hour made a difference!
Today did not get up as early but I've slept well got the chicken chores done. I need to water the back yard in a bit and the front next door.
Breakfast is done.

I've got a plan for dinner and the meat boneless pork ribs are thawing I'll put them in the crock pot later on. The bed is made after a fashion.
Not sure if dgd will be here or not yet the baby is for apx. half day.
Ds reunion this weekend. H. is not sure if he has Sat. work or not yet.

Headed up to the hospital to meet with my dad's doctor. My brother will also be there.

Cathy: wishing you strength for the appointment. Thanks for the heads up about the Indy. We are going to 400/407 area so will be well away from the lakeshore.

I've s2s and washed all my sandals and put them out to dry.

I'm starting to gather the food for the trip.

Cancelled the reservation I had because there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Booked another 20 minutes down the road and have both. If it was only overnight, no fridge would be fine, but it is over 2 nights so I'll need the fridge for sure and microwave to heat up my meals.

They say things come in 3's:
#1- The pump capacitor needed to be replaced, copper wires put in, etc.... It was GR8 to have water pressure again!
#2- DH broke the shower door into smithereens of glass! A new door will be installed today! Yeah!
#3- The septic 3-tank system is clogged, backing up, so we now need it pumped! DH will call a man today. It'll be so nice to not worry about a back-up when DH is gone to Seaside, OR tomorrow with the DGRSON's.

Also, DH paid me a compliment! He said he didn't know what we'd do without my writing money because I really do help out a LOT! It's so nice to be appreciated, especially by a spouse, when you feel like you're being taken for granted.

It's a cloudy on-shore day this morning, which will burn off to sunshine later. Grson-9.5 seems very whiny this a.m., so must be overly tired. It's getting on my nerves, so I'm hiding in my office until they leave to get firewood at 9 a.m. and I can get a breather. Will have a breather from whining from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or later, on Sat. while they trek to Seaside, OR. I'll miss them, the house will seem too quiet,and then they go home Sunday. We'll have a quiet week, just DH and me, but it will be nice, too. I'll miss my little guys. Well, the one guy is 16.5 years now, can drive our truck and car,when needed, which is so convenient, too. They grow up so fast! I'll think I'll go tease the whiny boy a bit, this a.m., to shake him out of his funk.

Ds came home from work early with a tummy ache. I think he needed a "mental health" day.

I started challah in the breadmaker and will need to shape it to rise in a few minutes. I'm getting a massage in a little less than two hours. After the massage I need to come back home for a bit (and get ds) before heading to temple tonight. Really considering this a very quiet day myself. I have papers I need to take care of, but just can't get going.

I'm not familiar with the names, so hope I didn't mis-read them, but have a GR8 day!

Am awaiting a call from a septic company, who said they'd get back to DH, who's up in the woods. I called another number, but the lady who called me, gave me a wrong #, so that didn't work. Would like to at least get an appt. set up. It would be a relief. We were warned what company to keep away from, why, we don't know, but assume they're shady or whatever.

I'm working on a story by hand, in hopes to log it and submit it by Fri. and have another story after that, to do. Came up with a much better title, than the one I had, last night before nodding off to sleep. I thought, how could I have been so dumb to have picked the previous title when the other one is only 2 words, more romantic, and an eye-catcher for the reader. I need to get back to work. I'm going by hand, this time around, then will log, and edit, proof, rest it a day or so, and edit the final copy and submit. A writer's brain seems to never turn off completely. It's always working, even when we're not working. Like, I'll be reading a letter or a book, and another story pops into my brain.

I did the ironing and have picked my clothes to take. Need to pack toiletries now. Usually I have a complete set ready to go but I emptied those out over the past two hospital stays and two trips.

I'm also missing the medicine bag. Last I saw it was on the train when I took meds to try and stop the gall bladder attack.

Ate my second lunch and my tummy isn't reacting badly. I hate being afraid to eat.

I had to be up and out the door this morning very early for a meeting. Not my favorite way to start a day ...

Since I've been back home, I've been answering Emails. I think I'm done with that for awhile.

Will go to WM later to pick up Rx refill and other stuff. I'll give the nurse some time to call in the refill before I hit the road.

Must remember to look at WM for 2 matching T-shirts for a sewing class I'll be taking in a few weeks. I searched at a couple thrift shops but did not have any luck finding 2 shirts the same color or coordinates. The class description is just "Create a jacket from 2 T-shirts." No picture, so it's a little mystery project.

Break time is over, back to work.

Home from successful trip to town. WW weigh in showed a 1.4 lb loss. Nothing spectacular, but just continuing on with slow and steady weight loss. Time with DGS16 was very good. I'm grateful for our relationship and treasure these hours together.

MPB has an equipment failure. DH is currently getting parts to do the repairs and will be back in another hour or so. I am dreading him working in the super hot equipment room alone. I always offer to help or find someone to work with him but DH doesn't want anyone else in the equipment room with him when he is doing repairs.

DMom got an all good report from yesterday's heart test.

Dgd is better today but going to the other granny's. I did my walk pushing the stroller, and rode the ex. bike today in diff. segments of time. Story time and snack & lunch time are now done.
