Re: Monday Possibilities
Surprisingly, I slept well despite the 3 hour nap in the afternoon.
Woke up at 3:30 but went right back to sleep without a bathroom or pill break. Woke again at 6:30 and took the milder narcotic.
I'm up and dressed. It will be a scorcher here today so I've upped the a/c and have dressed very lightly.
Dropped another pound overnight so down 10 in six days. Only 25 more to my goal weight. Or to put it another way, I have 25 more pounds to lose before I'd start worrying about getting too thin. Am assuming this will stop long before then.
Talked to the doctor's office and my appointment on the 24th is the next one available so I won't be going in any sooner. They just reopened after holidays so they didn't know about the second hospital stay. They do now, plus the weight loss. But it is just a matter of waiting the 9 days and watching my vitals in the meantime.
No plans for the day except to stay very quiet and prepare for two meetings this week. Had my tea, chocolate and fruit. Will have my main breakfast in a half hour after I make sure the first breakfast has settled well enough.

Re: Monday Possibilities
Good morning, Kathryn (and all the rest of you who wander by the village today).
I had a terrible night trying to sleep. Dh is cough, cough, coughing for one thing. And to make matters worse it seemed if I started to doze off his feet connected with mine, knocking mine off the bed. I got up 3 times & tried to sleep on the couch. Dozed once for about an hour. Climbed back into bed 3 times. He doesn't believe me that he did this all night. He thinks I got up at 10:30 and never came back to bed!
Needless to say, I'm dragging.
Had dh to the lab at 7:30 for blood work this morning. He has his first cardiac rehab appointment on Thursday. Somewhere in here I need to re-make an appointment for me with my Dr.
Was supposed to go in May -have made 2 and had to cancel them both.
It's going to be very hot here too, Kathryn, for the next few days. Official heat wave.

Cleaned my bathroom. Refilled the nighttime vitamin dispenser (daytime is good for 2 weeks so I left it.) Wound the clocks.
Updated the book where I'm 'charting' my food, meds, vitals to include weight.
That's enough work for the morning.
Need to dust the living room in the afternoon because the piano tuner is coming tomorrow morning.

Re: Monday Possibilities
We had a surprisingly restful night for being in a parking lot. Woke this morning to dirt moving equipment in the lot next door (new construction, landscaping)
We only have 134 miles to go and check in isn't until 2 so we are spending most of the morning here. We have a cool breeze and lots of interesting people to watch.
My blog is updated with three pictures of the trip yesterday.
This link goes to a song written by a friend of a friend about the Yarnell fire. Be sure to have a hankie or two ready. http://deniseroggio.com/yarnell-hill-fi ... ing-honor/

Re: Monday Possibilities
Morning y'all
Well I've got most of my morning routines done except for taking a shower and "oiling my limbs" Gosh I love that phrase Lynnlee
I love reading about your adventures and "listening" to you talk. A while back I had a wonderful kickbox instructor that was from your area. At first it was confusing to hear her talk because she is clearly Japanese looking but spoke with your accent.
She had immigrated from your country and had applied for American citizenship. One day she was late for class. She came bustin' in with a huge smile on her face. She jumped up on stage and started jumping around yelling...I past my test, I past my test. Then on the day she was sworn in we'll had flags and watermelon slices waiting for her at the gym. Later she traveled to NYC, which had been a dream of hers. When she returned I ask what she had liked best about NYC and she said...the beautiful lady in the sea. I couldn't quite figure that out so she held one hand in the air and said...you know the beautiful lady in the sea. I started laughing...you mean the Statue of Liberty??? Yeah, yeah, yeah she said. That beautiful lady
When I got home I dug around in my box of photos. I knew I had a picture of the statue some where. A while back my dad had taken my son and I in his boat for a tour of the NYC habor and I had taken a picture of the statue. I found the picture and had it enlarged. I matted the picture and had it framed and gave it to her as a present. On the matt I had put a title...The Beautiful Lady in the Sea She cried when she read it.
MT...thanks so much for the song. You know that coming from this area it has a very special meaning to me. For the past two weeks the news has carried all of the memorial services and people from around the areas have flocked to it.
All my bags are packed I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside the door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn
I'm so happy I could cry... (not really)
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane..
Don't know when I'll be back again
(but I think it will be around Thur. the 25th)
gotta go...have errands to run and toes to be decorated and then a wonderful goodbye dinner with my Sweetie

Re: Monday Possibilities
Good Morning
It seems we have switched weather with some of you. I'm thrilled to give up the triple digit heat & drought and trade for mid 70's and rain.
I don't expect it to last long but the few days this weather pattern is visiting us is a welcomed break. We got another .2" of rain overnight and have cloudy sky today.
LO is attending his first ever Vacation Bible School this morning. I stayed with him the first 1.5 hours until he became comfortable in his surroundings. He made some new friends and found a pre-k friend he went to school with last year so quickly became confident and having a blast when I left. I'll go back and pick him up in 30 minutes.
DH is running.
Phase 1 of home loving is done.
Lunch is planned and in process of being prep'd (chopping up beef to make BBQ)
