I can't seem to get moving today...I was downtown at nine a.m. for a dental appointment (that was wrong on my calendar!) so I had the a.m. free and then didn't do anything worthwhile. I did do a good part of a.m. routine before I left this morning...
-make bed
-reboot laundry
-find notebook from builder that has link to enter 11 mo issues
-consolidate some li&ts and figure out what I can reasonably get done today

Yay! Finally made a dreaded phone call that I have been putting off for "about" a month.

Did 10 loads of laundry yesterday. Noticed how dusty the bedroom was this morning when I woke up with the sun shining through the blinds. So dusting is on the agenda this week, between hospital visits. My dd wants to go up tonight. My dad has a oncologist coming to see him tomorrow and another procedure on Thursday. Earliest day for him to go home is Friday.

My new-to-me B lackb erry is frozen, so I'm going to B ell to see if they can show me how to fix it. (My learning style is "show me" if that makes sense.)

Oh, so excited and happy for you, OKay!!! :D :D :D
Your life started out almost like my dmom's. She was a year ahead of you -- I was born when she was 16 and she became a grandmother at 38. DS slowed the pace a bit, though, and she didn't become a great-grandmother till she was 67!
But anyway, you are DEFINITELY wise enough to be a great!!! Oh my goodness, you just amaze me every single day w/your wisdom and strength and patience and faith in facing all that you have on your plate. You are an amazing mother and grandmother, and you'll be an amazing GREAT-grandmother, too! All these generations are so lucky to have you in their lives.

Well... I've already got 2 of the phone calls out of the way... dmil was awake in plenty of time to go to the funeral, and I have talked to the nursing home re: daunt's bill...

Must move along... dh wants computer...
Tomorrow is another day.

DH and dfriend are getting wood. I'm playing music, walked, and read.

Am getting ready to bless the house in baby steps.

Am going through my 2013 day runner, writing titles down on a legal pad, to have, when I switch to the new day runner that starts in Nov. for 2014. Thought having titles to choose from would be motivational.

I'm reading "Eat That Frog!", by Brian Tracy. It helps motivate me! I've read it before, but a writer friend recommended it at her blog, so since I had the book, I figured, why not? ;)

Have a great Monday.

Oh, DH's truck is on the fritz, so his dfriend's going to look it over to see if he can find what's causing the problem. No exhaust comes out, the oil's burning on the engine or some place else. We're sure having bad luck. Pump capacitor, shower door replaces, the truck and the septic is pumped on Thurs. the 18th. Oh, well. Go with the flow, no "pun" intended.

Wow, that's some news, OKay!

I'm having a good morning. Sticking with the lower narcotics and that's going well. Am beginning to think that something shifted or passed yesterday.

Ds and I watched Newsroom and now he's getting ready for work. Yesterday he did a 'Beast', a 22km obstacle run in 3:28. So now he's finished the trifecta, a sprint, a super Spartan and the Beast. He's got 8 medals so far this year and 8 t-shirts, although this is the first black one he's received. He's stiff when he gets up from sitting but walks it off pretty quickly.

There's another Beast this weekend but he's decided to work instead.

Cowinkie, lol, creative way to announce your exit for the trip!

Lynlee, you are smart to consider plans and options so well. What a great Sunday morning for you - very social but happy. I hope the trip to see your new grandchild goes perfectly. I wish I could just let you borrow for a while this over-tub seat that is part of the caregiving furniture I will now probably pass on to HRH's family.

OKay, I had to read your post twice before I understood it! I was thinking, "Well, of course he thinks she's great - we know that." Ditto what lucylee said!

Oh, Dee! So sorry for the hard night.

I have finished 6 thank-you notes today. Takes more time than I thought - finding addresses, learning that names have changed, etc. Fielded a call from ddad's attorney with condolences and a few suggestions for me. He's sweet.

I have to bite the bullet and go to the grocery.

I listened to Flylady's podcast on the Weekly Home Blessing and was up cleaning for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I'm beat, kept drinking my water, was sweating and I have no clue why I didn't know what a podcast was nor that I could play it on my laptop!  That with stretching, 15 min. walking this a.m., more stretching and the weekly home blessing, made me tired! I got LOTS of exercise, but I've vowed to move more to lose more. :!: :D

Yes! Monday IS full of good possibilities!

Cowinkie, Have fun on your trip!

Lynlee, Have a good trip, too!

Dee, I hope you'll get a nap in, if you take naps or even a quick snooze or two in the recliner,if you have one.

Harriet, Good of you doing thank you notes. I'm holding you in my prayers.

Nancy, You sound so BUSY! Where do you get your energy! Bottle some up and send it to me! ;)

OKay! Super news there! Congratulations! :D

Waving to CathyS, Kathryn, Twins' MT and others. I need to go rest now. Timer just went off, too. Have a great Monday, Everyone! :D

Wow Okay, congratulations on super news that we all knew already.

((Harriet, HRH and rest of family)) time will heal ..... sending cyber comfort from me and my family.

((Kathryn)) hope you are feeling better day by day.

Hello to Twins, CathyS, Kathryn, Okay, Harriet, Ivy, Lynlee, Nancy, Lucylee, DeeClutter, and all who follow.

Monday possibilities is apt for today for me.
We made an offer on a town house today and subject to home loan approval, we hope to get this house asap.
Never realized how much a family can obtain in a home that needs to be cleaned out until needing to move home.
Our current landlord is selling the property so we are supposed to be out by end of the month. sigh.
So we have to wait until Wednesday for the house that we made an offer on will be accepted or not as we offered slightly lower than the asking price. Fingers crossed that all goes well on that front and accepts the offer.

Congratulations, OK!! And I also ditto all that lucylee said. Your family is blessed to have you with your wisdom as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

I hope you get the house, LisaB.

It is 92* here at 3:45, pretty hot for us.

I am just home from working with the youth group in Detroit, providing lunch to all the VBS kids. It was hot but social work; we had quite the crew helping in the kitchen! The pilot light in one of the ovens was off, and we never figured out how to light it again, so we used one oven and a skillet on the stove to heat up almost 1300 chicken nuggets. *phew*

I stopped by TJ en route home to pick up some tamales, which we'll eat tonight. I'm too tired for a proper groc. store run. That will be tomorrow.

I need to call dfriend re: moms group hiring child care workers issues. She returned my previous call while I was in Detroit. I'll return her call, and then I think I'll crash for a bit.

Ds is out until 7/7:30 with work and then a meeting of a campus group of which he's a member -- so it will be just dh and me for dinner, which will be sipmle.
