Napped for 3 hours in the afternoon. But staying off the narcotics today with no ill effects so that's amazing.
Ate a full (but small) dinner and tolerated the food just fine (3oz steak, 1/2 c fried potatoes, raw carrot and glass of milk.)
Talked with dd over skype. She has no voice so she type talked and I talked but she was able to see me and see I was looking good.
Will clean up the kitchen now and then watch Amazing Race Canada which is starting tonight.

Re: Monday Possibilities
Hi everyone! My computer is STILL backing up. I ran out of disks and had to get more. DD11 and I had a bit of an adventure yesterday. She wanted to try learning a crocheted bear pattern and get camo yarn for it. So, down the hill we went, only to find all the stores closed due to no electricity! On the way back, blowout. At least it had stopped raining. Some kind people helped us out and I learned some tricks to changing tires that I need to type up, print out, and keep with my spare tire. That is one of tonight's tasks. DD found some yarn I already had, but got very frustrated trying to learn single crochet.
While I am online, I need to check to see how many books I need to return for DD. I have a LOL drying. The tire place said I need an alignment, so that is a tomorrow morning task.
Okay: Congratulations!
lucylee is on a roll with all those X's.
DFosterKitten Gravity must be a southern kitten. Whenever I set a glass of sweet tea down, he tries to drink it. I have had to move mine several times while typing this.

Re: Monday Possibilities
Tidied up the kitchen. Dusted the living room while watching my show. Used the electric broom on the main floor after the show was over. Tidied ds's bathroom (which is also the guest bath.)
So the house looks a bit better.
Even with the walk around the outside of the house, then around the block and the dusting and sweeping, I still only did 3500 steps today. Can't say I'm overdoing things.
Off to bed now.

Progress made on database program. Time to eat (yes, it is 10 pm where I am). Also time to turn up the temperature. After food, cat care, me care, and bed. Good night all!

Waving to LisaB ! Hoping along with you for your house purchase. I know you are frustrated on your son's behalf.
Sadie, so you count down your weeklies? That's interesting.
Kathryn, your improvement is so welcome and sounds pretty emphatic!
Wishing a good night's sleep for the DeeClutters.

Re: Monday Possibilities
waving from tuesday.
Hugs all
Harriet - the OT had the over bath chair but that didn't work. The slope on the bath in relation to the floor left it wonky and wobbly. also - too high she said. Also - jutted out too far into my bathroom I think. It would have been another hazard.
I tried it out last night. Bath board was in a great spot to get wet, and for full shower needs. I could even reach where my towel hangs..
Directions say to use hand held spray but that really is an exercise in frustration to wash / wet hair with hand holding the water. I have two hooks for the spray - high for shower and bath level. the bath level is the one I always use to turn on and off the water so water isn't dripping down the wall where it should not. I have rigged up pvc shower curtains both sides and end of the tub so I can shower in there. I'll need to trim the outside shower curtain somewhat to fit over the board.
finding this hours later.
I went to the big shopping center and bought some things for new dgd. Also 2 outfits for her big sister. (some stores with baby / kids / toy sales on.) They could be thought of as birthday or christmas gifts. I will love to see her receive them though. I used buy dd#1's offspring a heap of things, so am hoping I will be allowed this indulgence.
I am so grateful to the friend who took me - though she was really worn out at the end. opps.
thank you for all sending good wishes my way. I wish I knew more about elbow damage and .. it really is a waiting game. Appointment for bathroom grab rail installation is Monday. Also a smoke alarm check. I think it is in the wrong place.
Waving to LisaB across the way. There is a lot going on for you. Sending more power to you for this big move. Prayers for the best news possible for ds re his x and the little one.
