Good evening....Good theme for today. I like Mondays since our weekends are usually the busiest days of the week with my cleaning schedule and family visits. I usually make Monday my desk day which includes planning for the upcoming week. Morning routine comes first, then desk duties.
I was feeling a bit at loose ends, though, today. Yesterday we took dgd15 and dgs11 to the airport. Their plane left at 9:30 am. I was able to follow their trip on flightaware. Their dmom & ddad met them at 11 am., they stopped somewhere for lunch before driving 3 hours to their home. Later dgd texted me that they arrived home ok but that she felt sick. She had a fever, was headachy and stuffy and ached all over; I wondered if it was brought on by the stress of travel. Neither of dgkids wanted to leave!
We had a nice visit with them, but it will be good to get back into the box and get routines going again. I sat down and wrote out some things that I've been thinking about. Most of it can be worked into my regular routine and using the remainder of the third round of focus and fourth round what I want to do should be completed by the holidays and the end of the year.
Dh cut the grass in front yesterday and this morning mowed the back yard, which is almost twice as big as our lot is on the curve of the street. But the ground is dry enough now, no rain for a couple of days, so he got it all done. I had gone outside this afternoon with the pruning clippers and was cutting some of the renegade/random palm trees and bushes along the fence and around our big oak tree, not planted by us but sprout on their own. Ds#2 stopped by on his way home from work to say hi and that he will stop tomorrow to drim the sidewalk and driveway and called me inside ---told me I shouldn't be working out there and especially in the heat! After he left I went back out to finish what I was doing!
I took a little time to cuop and walk around the village to read a little. There was a lot to catch up on, but I wanted to comment on a few things.
Lynlee.... congratulations on the new dgdaughter.
LisaB.... congratulations on your new house; I'm excited for you!
Ellyphant.... I wanted to wish you and Dh happy anniversary.
OKay.... I see you are expecting another dgchild in Dec. My dson#3 and ddil had dgd15 when they were 18 years old.
Dee.... I was sorry to read of the tragic accident and the loss of those young people. Those families are in my prayers!
Ivy.... I'm sorry you and dh have had so many mishaps in your home these last few weeks. I hope you can just relax and enjoy your dgkids now.
I know there was a lot more, but that's all I can remember at the moment. I was talking to you all as I read posts!
Harriet, I was going to say that I would try the plan suggested by ds before looking for a custom set. Was this bed size what they used to call a "single"? I know they stopped selling that size long ago in favor of the "twin" size.
