I'd been taking my shower at night, letting the 2 grsons & DH shower in the a.m. However, last p.m., which was nice of him and all, DH started the DW later, so I didn't get my late shower, Everybody headed to bed at 10:30 p.m. We were exhausted and all 4 slept like 4 rocks or logs or whatever you want to call it.
This a.m. I got my shampoo in. I'm using a new one, which repairs split ends, but you need to use it 3 times before your hair is noticeably improved. DH got it for me, for my frizz and static. Today was #2 time using it.
My office looked so nice this morning, from working on it last night. I really love the cleaned drawers, the order, and having things put away.
Today, the electrician's coming to fix the short on the alarm to our septic system because when it's on, it just buzzes a terribly LOUD honk and I'm sure it could be heard 1/4 mile away. This will be fixed and it will be the end to the bad luck. So DH and grsons will be going to Costco later today instead. So DH is watching "Legendary" a movie about wrestling because dgrson-14 3/4 is a wrestler in high school, will be a Freshman, on the varsity team and team captain, too. (Is it okay to brag?)
Heavy thick fog covered us this morning. It's so pretty in the tall timbers around the house, it lifted and we'll have a gorgeous sunny day. It's beautiful. The boys love to hike in the woods, but at times, they rush home because of rustling of wild animals in the bushes. They've sharpened their walking sticks, like caveman warriors of millions of years ago.
Have a good day, Everyone. I'll try my best today, to move more, because my right leg, hip, muscle are in such pain. Can't sit too long at a time, so move. Lost 2 Lbs., am so happy I ate 5 fruits/veggies yesterday. DH is bringing home Costco jumbo muffins today, but I refuse to eat one. Grandma just HAS to get back into her size 16/without the "W" jeans! Take care, Everybody!

Sounds like you are having a good time with dgsons, Ivy!
Harriet, yesterday I tried looking at the color link for dd14's room and it didn't work, but this morning it did. I like that color blue and with white trim will look very pretty.
OKay, your new tracking system for paperwork sounds good and easy to follow.
My morning routine this morning among usual things included stripping three beds and remaking mine; general pickup in main bathroom, dining room; gathered ddil#2's craft supplies she brought for dgd15 to use in her IB art book and put back into the tub. I will see if ds can take it with him today. Have done lol -- bath towels and put away; sheets and pillow cases are now in washer. I also spent an hour outside working in front garden.
Dh is on his way to Sam's C. to pick up an Rx refill and a few groceries. I need to get a bite of lunch. Then I'll see what else I can do this afternoon.

Lunch is ready. Just waiting for DH to finish mowing @MPB and arrive home.
This morning LO and I went to the front pond and searched for willow branches in the right shape to use for finding water. We found and cut down 3 which look promising. LO had a million questions about this process. I called DFriend and arraign to met at his home this afternoon. We should have enough time to come home after library reading/craft and refilled our water bottles before heading out again. Being out in the triple digit heat makes having fresh water with ice not only a treat, but also a necessity. We keep cold water in one-time use type of disposable bottles ready to give to DBrother as he comes through our driveway (checking cattle) every day, but the rest of our water is kept in our favorite reusable water bottles.
Today is going well. Bed is changed, laundry put away, kitchen clean and there is a plan for supper! I even made 3 phone calls and dealt with about 10 extra pieces of paper from my backlog. Library books are renewed except for one that someone else has requested. Will get that one again later...
Headache from yesterday has finally disappeared this afternoon. Thank you, Lord!
Going to walk to mailbox and then putter around the yard. Humidity is not so bad this week here.
I've gotten a few more things done; pulled some weeds, some watering done time to change it next door, plus I got the sinks cleaned in the kitchen loaded the dishes, laundry is started and needs to be changed over, capri pants are hemmed [again] I removed the black tag on white ones those were showing through and not attractive & I mended that as well. I gathered more eggs chopped up frozen plums gave some to the chickens.
We are back from a tour of the big hydro electric plant here on the dam. We toured with 8 students from the local Community College. Fun listening to their questions.
Ate lunch at a local bar/cafe. Really rough. Don't think it would pass any inspections nearer to a city. Fry cook talking on the phone all the time she was cooking, no hair nets and washed dishes and hands in the same sink. Glad most of my food was fried so therefore sterilized.

Harriet, the blue color you picked is almost like my master bedroom. I love it with the white trim. Ivy, have fun with DGSs.
OKay, great system. I can see how it will work better for you than just stacking things. One question I had though is about the logging of papers. If it takes the same amount of time to process a paper as to log it, wouldn't it be more efficient to process it instead?
I stack my papers up for things that need immediate attention. But I sit down and do them every day so there's never a big stack. Things that I can take more time to do, like a month or two get put either in my memo rack on desktop or on the bulletin board above the desk. These are easy to see. But I am relying on my brain to remember when they are due...hmmm so far that is working. Other projects that take more space and at least a few weeks are stacked to the side of my desk, again with the omm reminder.
If I ever get so that I can't remember these things, I will need to start logging stuff in... DH is the one who loses things. His papers are all over the house and I've tried and tried to set up systems for him and he just resists. It is a huge problem.
Today I got some of these "I've got time to handle this" projects out and went to the tag office and got 2 license tags and our business license for the year. I took the business license to other county office and got that logged in. Then I got a whole big load of groceries and I am bushed now.
Hi everyone! DD11 had a rough weekend. XDH and new wife sold all her bedroom furniture at a yard sale Saturday and now she has the other woman's old stuff in her room. Later on, when it was too late, they realized they could have allowed her to keep the furniture at my house. She has very little in her room with me. Much crying ensued. She also told me she wanted everything back 'the way it was', i.e. with XDH and me back together and in the same house. She has figured out the divorce was because XDH wanted the other woman. She asked me if they were sneaking off when we were still married. I had to honestly tell her I didn't know. This morbid line of questioning was cut off when we went to a baseball game with people from church. I had to piggy back her from the car to the stadium because she cannot yet walk far! Fortunately, at the game they had wheelchairs and I used that to get back. We had a good time and after the game she got to wheel the bases.
I am almost done with crocheting the baby golden dragon. I have started a sweater because the dragon is not easily portable any more. I was having trouble with round 4, then realized there was a mistake in the pattern! Errata was downloaded.
My crockpot is cooking away on my lunch for tomorrow. On the way to work, I saw a small printer shelf in a driveway with a 'FREE' sign on it, so DD will get a little more storage in her room. I still need to buy a bookshelf for the kitchen (the only place with room for it), but am waiting for more funds. Tonight is Girls' Night Out, then I have to do such chores as update Quicken, pay bills, balance checkbook, put trash out, and filing. Right now, I am going to post some info to Ravelry and go through about 400 emails.
Oh, Elizabeth, so sorry for dear daughter, that would be upsetting to me too, to have all my furniture thrown out and another's put in. I think the new wife is off to a bad start.
I'm still working away on my dailies and weeklies. Have looked over the focus work on the board here and am incorporating it into my plans. Might take awhile and some tweaking but I will "getter done!"
