Finally Friday
Yes, it's finally Friday, end of the week, beginning of the weekend of rest and renewal, hopefully.

Re: Finally Friday
Unfortunately, I'm on the road again this weekend and my resolve to get stuff done before I leave is dwindling. I slept poorly last night - couldn't get to sleep because my mind was busy, then took a benydryl, then woke up at 4 after coughing in my sleep for awhile. Also feeling crowded by dh. Then up and down to feed dogs early and let them out.
So I'm trying to be good to myself this morning at the expense of productivity. Going to postpone visiting dmom so this morning is about getting a little done and getting on the road.

Re: Finally Friday
Do be good to yourself, Twins.
I'm up and have been doing some research on our site. Hoping I have my questions to self figured out.
Dh has gone to take a shower. Think his nurse is coming this morning. Then we're going away for the day -depending on how dh is feeling at any point. Not doing anything very physically active.
I'm not even s2s yet, so really need to get moving.

Thanks to Sherinjoy for sending the moderators a warning about a new user. She saw something that didn't look right and brought it to our attention so things could be cleaned up quickly. I'm waiting to be fully awake before deleting a user.
I'm not moving as well as yesterday. Both stiff and less motivated.
Ds got in at 5:15 a.m. I heard him up at 6:45 so went and chatted a bit with him. He had a great time (he went to see comedian Dave Chappelle in Montreal). The show started late at 12:30 and went for over 2 hours. He'll sleep all day and then go to work at 11 tonight. Tomorrow he has a brunch in the morning so will pick up his contribution on the way to the brunch, get there early and ask to nap on a couch or bed out of the way until it starts.
I've stripped and remade the bed and started the sheets in the washer since the weather is good today and iffy over the weekend. I'm having my tea and chocolate while handling email and cuop.

Re: Finally Friday
Thought about you yesterday, Kathryn, when dd gave me a real tiny chocolate she'd bought at Vidler's in East Aurora. Yummy! Now, I could make a bag of those last quite a while. It was sweet enough you really didn't want more than that tiny tidbit.
Not so sure we're going away today. Dnurse is going to call dh's cardiologist again today & her thinking is he may decide to do a chest x-ray. His left lung -the offending culprit- now sounds about 2/3 full, where it had been diminishing. And he's had several episodes of shortness of breath, some palpitations and high bp. So my thinking is we'll stay fairly close today and not be 75 miles away if he decides dh needs some testing.
Thinking we'll hang out here today -maybe go to breakfast and wait to see what cardio dr says. Then perhaps tonight we'll go to Batavia to dinner and MAYBE the casino. He's been wanting to go.
I need to print out some instructions from here and see what I'm doing and if it's right or wrong. I'll get it. My brain is just not very functional right now.

Re: Finally Friday
Good morning, villagers ~
I'm not sure where yesterday went. Hmmm ... oh right, I was wide awake at 4AM yesterday and decided to go ahead and get up. Desk work, kitchen work, emails and more emails in the morning. Finished the newsletter and sent it to the printer, then had to call them later because their website messed up the quantity for the order. (Thankful that their site sent an automated response so I caught it in time. I had asked for 105 sets of 12 pages; their online order form converted that to 10,512 pages.
)
Napped for an hour at noon. Sam's run in the afternoon to pay the bill and stock up the freezer. Last night I couldn't do anything on the computer because of storms, but I had a library book to finish so that was ok.
Today's 7x5 in addition to 3Ds:
* start packing for trip
* go to post office to buy pretty stamps for newsletter
* go to library to return book, and check donation box
* library group bank deposit
* pick up newsletter from printer
* stop at fabric/craft stores with coupons to buy what I still need for next week's beaded edgings class
* pick up a few groceries from Aldi (things I didn't want in bulk from Sam's)
Well, that's mostly errands in The Big City but luckily each stop is a quick one.
Will mix some laundry in there throughout the day, and this evening must start the newsletter fold/label/tape/stamp process.
Oh that's right, I need to learn how to print address labels on the new printer. That's one reason why I hung onto the old printer so long, because I could use up a huge box of labels someone had given me for free. They are odd size pages and the old printer let me feed them individually through a bypass thingy. Not sure if the new printer will do that, and no time to deal with it this weekend. I have a few sheets of normal address labels on regular 8.5"x11" sheets that I can use for this batch, and experiment next month with the weird labels.

Re: Finally Friday
Happy Anniversary to
Mr. and Mrs. Dee!!
Not too awake here this morning. It is about 48 degrees this morning and I want to crawl back in bed.
We will be going to a near-by town to do laundry and get groceries today. But first, I have to wait for DH to wake up.

Re: Finally Friday
Thanks, MT! It was cold here too. Dh had the heater going, but now the screen door is open.
Dh just left to go shower. Think I'll get my hair washed and then perhaps we'll go to breakfast. Hmmm....it's almost 10am!!

Re: Finally Friday
Happy Anniversary to the DeeClutters. A day at home sounds like a nice idea. Time later for outings when the air is crisper.
Yes, thank you to Harmony and sherinjoy for heads-up on some village housekeeping. Thank you to Kathryn for handling so quickly.
Safe trip, Twins' Mom.
Harmony, how are you feeling?
Ivy, that was my attitude, too, when the red fox was at our henhouse. I just really blessed him out (no cussing, of course - he's a rascal but I'm a lady
). HRH questioned later whether he would really be bothered by my voice, necessarily. But I think so. He left instantly, in the way you would expect a wild animal to react. At this point, he has not returned. You'll never know, but the sound of your voice may be a deterrent to the coyote, too. I remember when Sammie faced down the very big coyote here - we also had the impression that it just took a while for the coyote to "get it". That may be cockiness and belief on the part of a large male coyote that he has no serious enemies. Or, it may be that a coyote is just slow to catch on. For your sake, I hope it's the latter, and that as the experience sinks in, he becomes scared of your yard.

Re: Finally Friday
Happy 55th Anniversary to Dee & DH!! I'm so happy that you are experiencing this anniversary! Not many people get to have than many happy years together. You are blessed. ((((Hugs))) and Congratulations!!
I slept in this morning. It was raining and felt soooo good to just turn over and go back to sleep. Normally I'm ready to bound out of the bed, but not this morning. Rain....wonderful....glorious rain. We got 4.4" overnight. Many places are flooded. A very good "problem" for us to have. This fast of rain should run off and help the lakes and pond. 8" of rain this week might be enough to get us out of severe drought status.
TA-DA -
** AM cards done
** Smoothies made. (milk, protein powder, apple, banana, blueberries, pumpkin, strawberries, flaxmeal and last but not least - greek yogurt)
** DH and LO launched
** wrote long journal to myself thinking through pro/cons and final decision to cancel WW
** Kitchen cleaned up
** LOL in dryer and hung up
** walked for 15 minutes
