Some progress here;
I've cleared off the counters and it feels so good to make that progress. Did that instead of the early walk today's goal was the kitchen! I still need to load the dishes in the sink but wanted to get to some things I do not do daily to feel better about that progress. Dishes are going.
Yesterday after I swept 2 hrs. later you could not even tell that I had. With all the grands here that's how it goes.
Bed has been straightened.
Moving truck showed up next door looks like they have decided to move. Heard the offer fell through we will see if new folks move in maybe they worked some thing out or got a diff. offer.
Dd called I have an hr. before [2] dgkids get here going for just a couple hrs to walk in a bit for some ex.

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Dh had cardiac rehab this morning and because we can't switch appointments around, he'll have it again tomorrow morning. They don't usually like to do them back-to-back. I counted and he has 6 appointments this week of one sort or another. THINK he only has 3 next week.
He also has had a good 8 weeks of a lot of lying in the recliner. Hopefully the Lasix he's on now will begin to do it's 'wonder'. Nurse comes for her final visit on Friday. Hopefully the fluid will have begun to come off.
Going over to dd's with the golf cart so she can take the 'blue' wagon out and dump her black tank on the MH. She's having an old friend & her family over for dinner tonight. We're going over later for 'home-made' ice cream in a bag.
DGD18's other Grandma called today to invite dh and I to a graduation party for her next Saturday. We're having a little get-together here on Sunday for her as well. First we've been invited to anything since dShelley passed away in '09. Well actually xsil's dsis had invited us to dgd's confirmation party, but it was the day after dShelley had died and we had a bunch of company and just decided it wasn't something we could do right then. It was understood.
I'll be back later this afternoon. Have to go get dd.
We can ditto that statement here, Kathryn. Dh knows that he needs cardiac rehab in order to ever recover at this point. When he was first out of the hospital for a couple of weeks he was doing so well, he thought he wouldn't need it. Surprise, surprise!!Almost 8 weeks of minimal activity means I have a lot of leg muscle building to do. And a lot of patience to recover.

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Morning y'all..
Off and running this morning. Sweetie and I are going to the movies. I was awake early this morning, but chose to stay in bed. Morning routines done. Its play day for me.
Okay..When I lived in Mobile, my backyard backed up to a wildness area. At the time I had a boxer named Amelia...because as a tiny pup she loved to explore
Anyway I could see into my backyard from my second story bedroom. One day I looked down and saw her tossing something up into the air. After a closer look I realized it was a turtle...course she couldn't hurt him through his shell. I took him to the edge of the fence and released him. The next day the same thing happened. Thinking it was the same turtle I took him back to the fence and let him go again. Needless to say the next day the same thing happened again...don't know where Amelia was finding these "tossing turtles" but it was becoming apparent to me that this was not the same one I kept letting go.
So...every time Amelia came up with one of her "tossing" friends, I would take red nail polish and mark a number on it's belly. Started with the number 1, and by the time the summer ended I was up to 18. Gopher Turtles were quite abondant in my area...and I think everyone of them must have liked my yard.....
Gotta go... Hope it is a t--riffice day for y'all. Cya Later BTW...Snappy was probably a Gopher Trutle but we just didn't know it

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Gee, there's a lot of creativity in the village lately!
I seem to share a sewing/creating project with Cowinkie (bedroom textiles decor).
And now I see I share a baking/creating project with OKay (decorative birthday cake).
OKay, I really like his choice. Do you already have that Wil ton product or will you purchase? In my mind's eye, I see a cheetah as being a little more golden than hers, but those markings are "spot on". (
) Looks like you'll be having fun!
I was so inspired by the April cover of Southern Living mag (best photo but just a blog), showing cupcakes with two presentation ideas that really made them special-looking. The first was using ready-made fondant for decorating, and the second was, after baking in cupcake liners and cooling, displaying each in a second patterned cupcake liner, coordinated with the frosting, that acts like an upside-down skirt. Side view, click on the photo to enlarge. Just no time later I happened to be in Michael's for dd's sake and saw there are lots of choices in patterned cupcake liners these days for cheap, so that reinforced the idea - we'll see!
I am so not ready for dd33's family visit this weekend.
Got interrupted with that thought.
And post sat here, sorry.

LOL, Cowinkie about the turtles and Amelia. I found my boys barking at a snake once in our yard before we moved.
That round actually went fast. My massage/body work is at three, so at two I will s2s and get ready to head out. Until then, I will stay busy! Drinking some iced coffee now...
-make the bed
-fold two lol and put away
-refill meds containers
-call regarding two other doc bills for dd
-make updates to comm religious sch bylaws to send out for comment

Re: Wednesday Wonders
I did get a short walk in took some papers I found that went for the camper we sold to the neighbors that bought it. They are sweeping the streets in our area and it's very busy so I did an abbreviated walk. Talked with another neighbor that's going to stay w/ her sister her h. died this summer her grand kids are going to stay in her house.
Movers have cleared out the containers of the garage next door and patio furniture stuff is lined up and down the drive way.
Dishes are going. Last night h. had a plan for dinner I have left overs I can have today for lunch.

Re: Wednesday Wonders
I can't help but imagine that somewhere there was an enterprising turtle selling tickets to the 'thrill ride' at Cowinkie's house!
Dh helped me move one small bookcase and an office chair to the church office. Then we dropped off the 3 garbage bags of clothes into the donation bin at the general store and picked up the mail. So that's a car load of stuff out of the house. Friday is garbage pickup day and I'd like to have several more garbage bags filled and ready to go out. It is just a matter of finding the broken stuff and pure junk that is hiding around places. I noted this morning that my work-out shirt (a favourite of mine bought back in MN direct from NordicTrak's headquarters) has a hole in it now. Got 16 years out of the shirt so I shouldn't mind tossing it, although I'm tempted to cut off Snoopy on his NordicTrak.

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Beautiful cupcakes!
I bought the lamb 3D form to use to make the cheetah cake. I had no experience with cake form like that but it was a breeze to use.
Lunch has been cooked, served and cleaned up. I cooked the fish LO & DH caught, made spanish rice, boiled squash and green salad. It was a hit.
DH brought home 2 sacks of peppers and squash that friends brought to him. They arrived about 10 minutes after i JUST FINISHED processing all the previous peppers and squash I had on the counter. I guess I can be happy about the 10 minutes the counters were empty.

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Hello Dear Ladies,
Another hot and humid day here.
We seem to get the rain but it is so humid afterwards!
Okay, wanted to remind you of tax-free weekend coming up starting on Friday for our state. All clothing and shoes are tax free.
That means it will be busy at WM this weekend.
The weather seems to have slowed me down some. I my dailies done today. Some weeklies done too. I'm finding it hard to take on the focus work. I'll manage to get a few things done on the list which is better than none.
Want to rest a bit and then head to work.
Great day to all!

Re: Wednesday Wonders
Notice difference between OKay and Harriet... ...
OKay posts when already in possession of materials, in the middle of her project.
Harriet posts and is still looking at photos and day-dreaming (well, she did buy paper cupcake thingies).
Nancy, I hope that if there are new neighbors they are very pleasant people. I know what you mean about floors.
3 more thank-you notes ready for tomorrow's mail. That project now set aside until next week.
6 or 7 calandiva and one violet blossom pressed before the calandiva faded. Possibly can make a little bookmark reminder of the floral gift from a cousin, especially if dd provides some leaf-and-stem art. Read up on how to get calandiva to bloom again - patience required. Hmmm... ... not abundant here. Violet will be fine in the windowsill and bloom a lot though, I think. These orchids just need a good photographing - I don't see myself as an orchid-ist, no matter how many Nero Wolfe novels I read. I have enough sense to remember Wolfe built a greenhouse.
Sprayed outdoor and indoor plants with foliar vitamin/fertilizer. More calcium to the tomato's soil.
Accepted gift of 2 more copies of local paper with article on my ddad from the nice car repair guy. He didn't want to throw them away when the next week's were displayed in his waiting room.
Answered email from another cousin.
