Thanks for all the info Cowinkie. That is very very helpful. This is a "you pay the vet and then submit bills and are reimbursed, minus the deductible" kind of deal. Maybe they nickle and dime exactly what they will cover with the emergency bills. . . I don't think it matters if our vet takes it or not? But, I need to doubt check on that. Between Lily's eye and my almost running over Maia with the van, we spent $5K on emergency vet bills this summer. That doesn't include all the non-emergency stuff, like Maia's skin infection or normal check ups - this insurance doesn't cover routine care anyway. I'm going to look into it a bit more. . .

Friend was here to borrow boxes for moving. I have sent out emails re: baby shower - food organization and the baby photo game.

Now, it is time to go out to eat with my wonderful son!

Plumber came and replaced our Hot Water Heater this afternoon. We had been on their get-you-when-we-have-time list and so they showed up without any heads-up. I was able to move everything out of the way in less than 1 minute. Doing the rotating focus cleaning really pays off in this type of situation. I'm thankful it was a fairly easy replacement.

Took LO to his 2nd drum lesson. I visited with his instructor about my concerns. We are going to try a couple different things and see if that works better.

I went through a Chinese drive through and brought supper home. I'm becoming discontent with eating out. About 75% of the food cooked at restaurants seem to be so salty and yucky compared to home cooked meals. And it cost about 3x more than home cooked meal.

We have pulled out the sight words and started working with them again. LO has forgotten several of them.

We have some restaurants in town here with excellent food, imho. And dh is fairly picky about his food. We try to order foods we don't make at home when we go out to eat. Salt might be a bit high for some of them, though. THey are not chains and they tend to be more pricey.

Vegging until we go to the movies. Dh is on a pre-planned conference call.

Speaking of eating out: Dh wanted pizza tonight but didn't want me to have to make my own meal (I'm still not willing to try pizza.) So I looked at their online menu and ordered a sub, and went with a Hawaiian (ham, pineapple, pizza sauce - I had the hold the cheese and add veggies.) It was a good start, not as greasy as the pizza but still probably too heavy for me. At least it was something I wouldn't have made at home which was why I tried it. I too, don't want to pay for store bought when homemade is as good or better and cheaper.

Ds came home right after work (7:30) and we watched an episode of Newsroom while he ate.

I've gone over the old sermons and am stitching together a new one. Will finish that tomorrow if I can. I'm hoping to go over to the church office and work there.

The secretary from this Sunday's church called to remind me to send in my bulletin tonight. I said I had emailed it this morning. Turns out she doesn't have a computer at home. She asked that I talk with the musician and I said I had cc:d him but it turns out it is another musician so I emailed her tonight.

Back home from the sewing group meeting, which was fun. I was able to "finish" the class project enough to be wearable -- although sooner or later I may end up doing a bit more adjusting to make it look better. It's a casual little jacket made by combining 2 short-sleeve Tshirts.

I didn't make it to the bank before the meeting. The sewing group's treasurer lives close to a branch of the group's bank and she said it would be easy to take the magazine order checks to deposit tomorrow.

The treasurer forgot to bring the group's checkbook so today's rush to finish reports and such was for naught. We are required to have 2 signatures on every check, and she and I live over 45 minutes from each other, so we can't really just do a quick meeting to sign checks. We'll have to take care of bills at our next meeting in 2 weeks, unless I end up driving her way for some other reason to combine errands.

I did not stop for groceries after the meeting because half a dozen of us went to a "meeting after the meeting" at a restaurant. I had a lemon poppyseed muffin and ice tea, a very nice snack since I'd not eaten much today. I'll get groceries on Thursday after I get my teeth cleaned.

I managed to do everything else on this morning's list. How did that happen? Hmmm, no tv, no FB, no youtube ... postponing those things until after chores was a good strategy for today.

I know I want to wash some dishes tonight and finally check FB. Will probably leave everything else (mail, bills, newspapers, more laundry, Emails) until tomorrow.
