My head is full of thoughts.
Attended a business tax workshop this morning. Definitely a well spent 3 hours. The information was factual and quickly presented. Although, at times I felt like I was trying to drink from a fire hose. They suggested attending the workshop several times until we become knowledgeable. It is too much to grasp all at once.
On the way home I got call from VBFriend (member of FNG). Wrote more but decided I need to move the rest of this to J&C

Re: Thursday thoughts
A business tax workshop will do that OKay.
I'm having a very sinking feeling that I don't know where the original of dd's speeding ticket is. Pretty sure it is here somewhere.
I think dh copied so he may have the copy, and having the original probably isn't an issue if he can find his copy. I just hate to tell him I can't find it and have him throw a hissy fit.
I am going to head on out to 4:30 meeting. At least I did a few things...

Re: Thursday thoughts
Back from errands. I did take a little break in the middle to go to a park and sit beside a flower garden to read a couple of newspapers.
Wish I could take a nap before the meeting, but must do some filing instead.
I think supper tonight will be lasagna from the freezer. If DH is running a little late, it will be ok to leave out on the stove when I leave for library meeting.
Twins'Mom ~ If DH made a copy of the ticket, where did HE put the original?

Re: Thursday thoughts
I've been trying out some new recipes with eggs in them.
Crock pot Cobbler sure was a hit at least with some of us here!
Crustless quiche was yummy in a wrap for lunch.
Dgd will be leaving in a few and then be back b/c dgson is not feeling well.
Dgd#2 is here as well.
I've been working on cleaning up after cooking day.

Re: Thursday thoughts
Tutoring session was fun! I don't know if they learned much, but I enjoyed it.
We talked about language needs and how they'd like to use their time with me, and I now have some directions to go. I already have some books that could help us with specifics, but I'm going to order a couple too, basically the newer editions of the books I have. His biggest issue is pronunciation. She would like to improve her vocabulary too. Reading is a good way to increase vocab, but it's not that helpful to use in speech if you don't know how to pronounce the words. What I'd like to do next time is record their speech so I can listen and analyze it at my leisure to pull out some specific problem spots (pronunciation, grammar) to work on. I'll have dh help me figure out how to record. I've asked her to bring some photos next week so she can have something about which she'll be highly motivated to communicate with me. --Not that she wasn't motivated this time.
I'm getting tacoes together for the kids and me. Off to finish that.

Doing normal things because that helps get through difficult times. Normal is good. Normal is comforting.
Made/served/cleaned up Mexican theme meal - tamales, beans, chip & cheese dip.
Took more phone calls.
Finalized arraignments for tomorrow. DMom, DSis, DGS16 and myself are traveling 150 miles to attend funeral of DCousin husband. He had a stroke a couple years ago that left him in almost vegetable state. He has been in nursing home for the past 2 years. DCousin and son has visited him daily but he wasn't able to communicate.
LO is busy building another fort using dining room chairs and blankets. Busy. Busy boy.

Waving from Friday
Welcome to GreyCat.
Today I need prepare and move things from in front of power points. There is one I know is faulty, and have asked he check all of them. Power boards seem to connect to most. I'm not sure what he will say about that.
Agreeing that meds seem to do undesirable things. Wishing that wasn't so.
August westerlies here today. Sunny clear skies.

Re: Thursday thoughts
Back from movie, walk and dinner.
We saw RED2 and enjoyed it a lot. We had liked RED and reviews were good for this as well.
Got out of the movie at 4 and ended up going to a nearby waterfront park for a walk. Must have gone at least 2.5 miles, maybe farther because I'm up to 7K steps and that's about all the moving I've done today.
Ds knew of a diner nearby so we went to that but it is just open until 3 p.m. so we headed towards the suburb nearest us to settle for a chain restaurant. Then I remembered a specialty burger place that we don't go to often so we headed there. I had a chicken breast on a bun plus a salad, then share some of dh's fries and had 2 onion rings. That, hopefully, kept the meal low fat enough for my system.
I'm exhausted and would love to go to bed but really need to spend time in our bedroom and the exercise room arranging things.
Edited to add: ds just came up to let us know that his Australian work visa has been approved. That took less than 24 hours. He's now buying the 'welcome package' from a company. Then the airline ticket.

Re: Thursday thoughts
Done:
x dinner; a friend, the dd19 of our skiing friends, stopped by and ended up eating a taco with us before she and ds went off to campus Christian group meeting (they went separately)
x ordered 4 books to help with ESL tutoring; speaking/listening is my weakest area to teach
x physics prof friend stopped by to eat. We chatted for a while and she just left.
x returned a phone call; a young mom in our church, the one dd17 babysat for while she was having baby #2, is struggling with the mommy demands on her + dh is doing a med residency program here. . .
Next:
- reply to email re: support for the young mom
- relax for a bit. I'm going to skip exercise - it is almost 9 pm anyway. This day has literally been non-stop. I don't know how women who work full time with a family do it.

Adjustment #234523 of the day. DGS16 and I aren't attending the funeral tomorrow. Instead we are going school shoe shopping. Gotta do what you gotta do.
DH mowed MPB this afternoon then our yard this evening. I ran the weed-eater until the battery ran out of juice.
Time for bed and bath routine
