So glad you at least know something now, Cowinkie. Know I've said it before but dShelley died from the effects of sleep apnea. She too became so fatigued and added in depression and eventually was unable to cope with much of anything. All of which caused numerous problems in her last couple of years. So often wish I could speak about the dangers of sleep apnea. Even nurses are often a little incredulous when we mention her cause of death (shown through an autopsy). Hope you can find an answer that's good for you. Know Shelley had long before stopped using her cpap. She had gastric bypass and thus lost a lot of weight and we're pretty sure she felt she no longer had the apnea. Hope your answer all works out for you too, Twins.I would never in a million years guessed that this was directly linked to my fatigue.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
Was just going to speak to "Kathryn" but see her porch door is open.
DD texted about 3 that she was in Wampum, PA -so that meant she was meeting up with DS-R & dgs8. She left about 2 1/2 hours later than she wanted because of the rain. Just saw they had a lot of flooding AGAIN down 'home'. they've had so much flooding and disasters in the past few years!

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
Yay!
I've been out all day. Went to W al ma rt around 8 a.m. to avoid crowds. Went across the parking lot to S ta ples and limited myself to 4 boxes of my favourite pens. I don't know where Mike puts them, but they really disappear around here. Then it was off to a major mall to get some white out and a gift card at my favourite dollar store. I also had a dentist appointment in the same mall at 12:30. It has been a very long time since my last check up and it's going to take some work to save 1 tooth and to fill in some cavities. After the dentist, I went to a new T ar get in our area and got some cheesies. The price was half of what I pay in any other store in the area, including the one that starts with W. I also went to Yv es Ro cher for some lavender bubble bath. Stopped for gas on my way home. Now I don't have to go anywhere until Sunday night. My best friend is turning 50 next week. A bunch of us are taking her out on Sunday night. The card and gift are ready to go.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
Cathy: your pen comment resonated here. There's no shortage of pens. It is the favourite ones that are always in short supply!
One of the things I moved today was a set of tiny drawers. It is supposed to be for storing 4x6" photos but we each have one and use it for odds & sods. I opened up one of dh's drawers and found 2 refills and an extra 'bullet' pen which is dh's favourite pen. I asked him if he knew they were there. Apparently, he picked them up while I was at the hospital so I'm guessing in all the confusion/exhaustion, he lost his pen so bought a couple of extras and refills while he was at it. Now, I'd store that in the pen drawer in the office, but dh hid them in his room. I just hope we remember they are there next time he loses his pen or needs a refill.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
Pens - I found this standby one, except in medium point, at 24 count for $2 at Tarjay yesterday. This one is slightly nostalgic to me, because during the years I was a saleslady at Belk, 1976-80, this pen had recently been introduced, and since the color of the pen is the classic Belk blue (and it uses blue ink), it became a sort of trademark for their stores, with plenty in every dept.
I did feel I really had to grab these, because all our pens just disappear without explanation. I don't find that very amusing, either.
Like Cathy, I went to the store of the W as well. I didn't do it at a smart time of day like Cathy, and the parking lot was hot as blue blazes. But finally found the plain white cupcake liners, a better selection of tiny paint brushes that don't cost a fortune, and a couple hard-to-find ingredients.
Lilac, I tried the sandwich you mentioned at the Subway inside the W. Very good.
Dbil our organic butcher, is coming by this evening with not-crab cakes.
If I'm going to work on these decorations, I'd better get busy. If I'm going to wait until very early morning and do it in the quiet, I'd better get to bed early. Thinking.

Waving from Saturday
Hello to Kally looking in.
Kathryn - I'm excited for ds. Wishing him the best for this experience.
Harmony - Cowinkle - Dee - Interesting. I have the forever fatigued as well. I've never done a sleep study. One period of time I let go of any routines re sleep and sometimes got up about midday feeling "awake". Its not really conducive to doing other things though.
Also - a friend was always suffering bad physical dreams and exhaustion. He talked to his doc and switched from taking ef xor (or eff xor) and the "worked all night" feeling has left. My thinking was "way off" when I took that. So if you are on meds - consider those too.
Thinking of Dee's dd on the long drive home. Prayers for dgd. and DH recovery.
Waving to Harriet.
I need move. My elbow and shoulder (around the shoulderblade) are aching often. I've quit with the pain killers. Maybe I need just try a little vol taren again - though its not the tendon that are the trouble. GP is Monday to get ultrasound results. I want to get to the pool today. I'll try stay there longer. Need work some more reaching out my arm straight from bent - in front of me. And relax the tension I add to my arm especially when I sit. or lie. Its still hard to get comfortable.
Breakfast is next
I am back to measuring out my water I need to drink each day. Need prioritize the drinking of it.
And do a little towards decluttering. Some happened yesterday.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
I was sooooooooooooo good at that W store. Back to school stuff was in at least 3 different locations throughout the store and all I bought from the school supplies was that blue sticky stuff to put behind picture frames to keep the pictures straight.
I bought window/mirror cleaning wipes that had to wiped off with a paper towel, so those can go to the office. Good thing they were only $1. I also got a $1 microfiber duster do (hopefully) get some of the dust in the crevices of wood carvings. Again, only $1, so if it's not great, I can use it in the car for the dashboard.
Lined paper was 15 cents for a pack of 200. I don't need any so I steered clear.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
I have no clue why it works for me. No one else in my family can do it. Just DDaddy and me. Now that DDad is gone, it is only me. It is so simple to do that it makes no sense to me why it doesn't work for everyone.OKay, do you have any idea yourself why the water witching works? I've always been curious.
When I am dowsing, I try my hardest to think about ANYTHING except what I am doing. I don't want the land owner to tell me any information about existing water sources. I don't want anything to influence me in any way. I usually walk around looking up at the sky. I don't want to look left or right because I might find a landmark to know where I am. Once I find good water, I lay a small stone or stick on the spot then try to confirm it by circling around and walk with my eyes closed and singing while walking (so I can't count my steps) to ensure the water is really in the same spot. I just let the willow sticks do their thing. I hold the willow sticks as tight as I can and try not to loosen my grip. 99% of the time, the sticks take the top layer of skin off as they twist. Sometimes they make blisters on my hands, but usually the top layer of skin just gets pulled off (it sounds more painful than it actually is).
BTW - DDaddy taught me to never ever take money or any compensation for dowsing. I don't know why I can do it, but I don't want to profit from it. It is a gift freely given.

Re: FANTABULOUS FRIDAY
Harriet, I decided to have that sandwich again tonight for dh and I. He liked it but wished I hadn't put lettuce on it. This time I paid for the double meat and it made it delicious but messy.
The boys came home from their dads this afternoon. I haven't seen them since the afternoon they left on their vacation and that was 2 weeks ago. Dsil was going to a hunting fundraiser tonight, so dd2 was taking the kids to the movies.
Wednesday night there were power problems downtown and dd2s gelato case was messed up. She lost a full case of gelato, which was roughly 9 gallons. Her insurance won't cover it.
I will be mowing again in the morning. With all this rain, it is growing fast. That is not a complaint.
Okay, I think that is amazing that you have the ability to find water.
When I was at WM earlier in the week they had the east entrance tore up. Today it was open and they were tearing up the west entrance. One entrance or exit to WM is not enough. On top of that they were resurfacing the highway in front of the store. They only had one lane in each direction open and the other 2 were closed. A WM semi was leaving and with the barriers, he could only go so far. He had to move them and it stopped traffic coming and going. This started just after I parked and I just watched the chaos.

RE: Pen conversation. I am a nut for the Space Pen. It is the only pen that I want to write with. It is always in my pocket and goes everywhere with me. About a month ago, I reached for it and IT WASN'T IN MY POCKET. *gasp* I immediately ordered another one and was THRILLED to find it is now available in my favorite color. I later found the missing pen in my car seat so now I have a spare.
Today went very well. DMom is the last one living from her generation in our family and is treated as royalty by her nieces and nephews. It was good to give and receive so many hugs.
After the funeral we went to mall in big city to go shoe shopping for DGS16. DMom opted to sit and people watch while DGS16 and I went shopping. He knew exactly what shoe he wanted and what size he wore so it was fast. They brought the shoe box out from the back, I paid for them and we walked out. On the way home, he took them out of the box and to show DMom. She told him how nice they were but she was surprised he didn't wear a bigger size. ARGH!!!! They had given DGS16 the wrong size of shoe! At that point we were about 30 miles from store so we proceed to keep driving toward next big town. We took the shoes in and tried to do an exchange but this store was smaller and didn't have any in size 13. They did order him the correct size shoe and are shipping them directly to his home. Hopefully they will arrive before school starts.
