Perhaps my dsisil meant when she said, "We're coming up anyway" -that they would be coming north at any rate and I'm hoping she meant they'd see about a place to stay when they got up here. Know dbil greatly wants to see his db. And I understand that. So guess I'll see their 'take' when they arrive up here. Do plan to tell her that there can be no smoking around us!

I do know, though our dks don't, that one reason they're coming north is to give each of our dks & dShelley's children money they have from the sale of dh's Mom's home. Understand they're splitting dShelley's share between her 2 children. Our dd in FL does know this money is coming -we told her because we knew she was pretty worried about what was ahead while waiting for dsonil to get a job. (We had told dbil several years ago that any profit he had from the house, we wanted him to keep as he'd taken care of DMIL for a long time). Guess they've decided they won't need it all and plan to give all 10 of dbil's nieces and nephews a share. It's not a lot ($2,000 each). Hoping they will decide to give dd her share before they come north. DH's other db has 5 dks, mostly in CA and 1 in IN. Sure they'll all be quite surprised at this little windfall.

Ah, context helps a lot. That is kind of dsil and dbil, Dee.

Done:
x a.m. routine
x 2 lols washed through folded
x Target run - put everything away too, including dumping dog food into the appropriate bins and feeding dcat
x Korean groc. store - items put away
x charging my san disk (there were no ipods at the store when dh was shopping for mother's day gifts. . .) in preparation for a jog

I forgot that I am picking up ds today. I need to leave in about 15 minutes to do that. I'll finish putting away MBR laundry in the meantime. (Tetris. . )

No, they don't, Lilac. Dsisil had a son (who really became dbil's son) who died of cancer when he was 21. Have to admit that some of her bitterness over the years is hooked to all of that. He battled for 7 years.

Happy Bday to Harriet's DD. This weekend dgd is having a bbq / back to school gathering in the park she changed the time slot not sure if we are going or not yet. Pot luck at church this Sunday as well. I have an extra cobbler made up so that will be going some where with us it looks like.

I've done the first morning round, vacuum sewing zone done, have some laundry going and I've raked up pile of branches next door. Time to flip laundry over. Have a great one everyone!

My exercise today was getting water out of the washer by hand dipping it out and hauling it upstairs sigh so that was unexpected! :o Ack! dson came here for lunch to eat in the shade of our tree and still has the washer for $75 so will take it! Glad that prob. could be solved so quickly!

Dee, the reason I asked is so many people without kids think they know how to manage kids better than the parents. I was very sorry to read that they had lost a son after a 7 year battle with cancer. That explains a lot, why she is the way she is.

I wrote 10-minute tasks on a legal pad, with notes to "rest", after completing each one. I found some tasks ended 2 minutes early, which was nice. Done are:
X Counters, sinks, dumped trash of 3 bathrooms (DH will do the toilets)
X Fresh towels hung in the master bathroom, where guest grandsons and we shower.
X Dusted house
X Dust mopped the house
X Swept the kitchen floor
X Swept and spot cleaned the utility floor
X DH swept the powder room
X DH cleaned my kitty cat's potty box.
X I'm washing pastel/white towels with a logging shirt, old tank tops, socks and underwear.
X I'm about to wash dark clothes, and then I'm done with laundry.

Tomorrow, I'll clean under the kitchen counter appliances, the kitchen counters, the corner country sink area and dish drainer pad beneath the dish rack. I'll have my work done, before they return, so I'll try to read some or crochet.

Great news the hens that were broody are laying again now yippie! I got 13 eggs today. They are enjoying frozen black berries. It's not quite as hot and they seem to be doing great!

I'm glad for the coolness of the basement for some of the things I've been doing around here today.
