Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
My saturday.
slept on couch again. Missed the end of the movie and couldn't find the energy to get myself to bed.
Changed my sheets today. Kudos to all who do this handicapped.
1 load of washing. Kept more for another day.
remade bed. folded sheets away.
napped this afternoon.
walked 2k only.
waved at some old friends then talked a little while.
dinner and dishes.
In the midst of that - a phone call. We are both trying to be more disciplined and not talk so long so often. We are using a timer. Went longer tonight as other wanted to discuss a few issues. I keep hoping she will get a specialist specialist for her complex problems.
Time for a shower then meds.
Harmony - hope you can get some relief soon.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
Today dh and ds are going to ATL to get ds to school, dd is taking a defensive driving school for 8 hours.
I was up at 6:15, got up dkids at 6:30, walked dogs and dd and I left at 7:15. Got her there and dropped off, then had oil changed in my car and I'm back home for a nap.
Need to get her at 11:45 for a quick lunch, then she'll be done at 4:30ish.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
Have a l**t and I'm sticking to it -well pretty much. Made the bed, breakfast, meds, shower, washed hair, did the dishes & scrubbed the sinks, 1/2 dressed for the wedding.
Seems so strange to see dh asking for help. Noticed he just went to get our dneighbor to help move something on the deck. (or to move it entirely).
Got a bag of red delicious last week -they're so hard, tasteless and dry. Guess where they're going. Wish I had some horses nearby.
Guess I'd better look at the forecast along the lake for today. Could be too cool later for capris. It's a casual outdoor wedding and reception inside what I anticipate being a pavilion type -catered by a fire dept friend. He does most of the parties connected to anyone in the fire dept and it's always good.
Taking our dgd18 with us so she can help babysit dgs1. DSGD13 is riding back with us to a friend's in our town so she can leave in the morning on a 2-week trip to NC with them. DS-A & family are staying tonight out there, I'm assuming in their MH.
I did find the paper work I needed yesterday for dh's disability claim. I made a copy and will send to the Dr's office in a week if (as we suppose) it looks like he won't be getting back to work anytime soon. This morning I was putting 3 meds that I had received from Med Co away and there was a plastic bag in the way -in dh's clothes shelves in the bathroom. Lo and behold there were his other 2 bottles of Nitro spray. So now have 1 in my purse again, 1 for him to carry and another on the same shelf in the bathroom. Also have to send a note to the dr's office to get a 'prior authorization' for dh to take 2 O meprazole a day. Insurance will only ok 1 a day. Since he had gone back to 1 a little over a week ago and had another attack that is common to his esophagus -no brainer, needs 2.
Cardiologist has prescribed 40mg a day of Lasix for dh (he's been taking 20). So I've doubled up on what he has of the 20's and Dr prescribed more through med co. For a few days, it said scheduled to ship Aug 21. Last night it changed to: "unable to fill prescription". Here we go again.............

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
LynLee - Thank you for the start today. BWTG for accomplishing difficult tasks and being a good friend.
Twins - After next week court date, will DD speeding ticket consequences be finished?
Yesterday I picked DGS16 up from his first day of school. Each of his teachers had given out list of school supplies needed so we went shopping. Got him something to eat before he needed to be at work (he helps clean a dental office).
Last night the owner of our ISP called and asked if I still wanted to be their "guinea pig". YES!!!!! They finally received new equipment and are ready to start replacing the currently installed equipment. They said it should be much faster. YES!!!! I am double thrilled because being first on new frequency means I might have the whole "pipeline" all to myself. Of course......new equipment always means there are kinks to work out. That part might be a PITA. The ISP installation team should be here in about an hour.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
That was a quick trip, Twins. Or more quick than I thought it would be. I hope you're enjoying some zzzzs now.
Changing sheets is hard enough without a handicap, ((Lynlee)). It sounds like you are a good friend.
Glad you found the paperwork and meds, Dee. Enjoy the wedding!
Nice that you took dgs16 shopping, OK. I suppose, I'll need to be doing that soon too. Hope the guinea pig experience is overall a good one!
I've been up for almost 3 hours and haven't done a whole lot. I've had bfast, sent out 3 organizational emails (moms group, band uniforms thank you, and staycation proposal), and taken a phone call. It looks like Tori will be dropped off at 12:45 today. Today, we start our week with 3 dogs!! Then, a friend will stop by this afternoon with her ds4 to give us an empty egg carton. We accidentally threw all ours away, and our 2 hens keep laying 2/day.
I'm off to get the a.m. routine underway, now that it is way past the crossroads of the day.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
Am d2s, hair fixed, watch and earrings on. Need to hang a robe, nightgown, but got dirty clothes to the laundry basket. Nice to only have a few dirty things in the basket worn yesterday. Did a laundry catch-up yesterday afternoon. Need to fix the bed better, since it's a messy thrown back covers, you know.
DH left at 7:55 a.m. to get the 2 grsons, ages 14 3/4 and 9 1/2. Will be staying with us until they leave early Sat. the 24th. This is the last duo of grason visitors for the summer. They've helped us get in firewood here, and at dfriend's place, who helps get wood, too. Will have a bit over 5 cords by Wed., DH said.
We need 10. Use an EPA insert which emits the fewest emissions on the market. There are 4 in our neighborhood of about 6 houses on the lane. 2 five-acre lots are undeveloped. 1 owner's trying to sell, but the price is too high and the other owner is hanging onto his until the market goes up, on the undeveloped lots. The house on the corner's not for sale yet, as the owners moved out and are still taking care of it, awaiting a market price rise, before selling. Awfully nice elderly couple, so will really miss them once they're gone for good. Nice people.
I think I'll try to work on some afghan crochet today. We got all of our housework done yesterday.
It's such a nice feeling to really be prepared with a clean house before the grands come. They're such sweet boys. No problems at all, are polite, respectful, helpful, and it blows our Dson's mind we have no problems at all. DH says to me how the he, as a kid, would never-ever talk back to his grandparents, and was respectful of them. I, too, was that way with Grandma. So the boys, naturally, are on their best behavior. It's a pleasure to have them. I'm so lucky.
Everybody, have a really nice Saturday!
Was just poppin' in to say good morning.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
Changing sheets IS a challenge, LynLee. WTG on that one. I always dread that particular task.
Think I'm already for the wedding except for shoes. I'll decide on what pair in a little bit. Told dgd18 we'd pick her up around 1:15. Have to stop on the way for a wedding card however. Try to set my stops according to trips.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
I cannot believe this! I lost ANOTHER l..o..n..g.. post last night! This time it was on my phone, and it was pretty tedious typing it all out w/one finger... and then * poof * it was gone and the phone wanted me to log in (again) to this site.
I guess it is just not meant for me to share my Elvis stories w/y'all... LOL. Not that I have any real stories. Saw him once in concert, 1975. I was almost 16 when he died. My whole family have always been big Elvis fans though. (Not enough for ddad to take me to Memphis when he died, though, LOL. Can't say that I blame him.)
ALSO -- in those two lost posts were
Happy Birthday Wishes to Harriet's dd15!!!!
And finally -- my shoes were just fine @ the party last night. Some people were MUCH dressier, some less dressy. It was a very mixed bag, but I felt like I was just fine as far as appropriate-dress was concerned. Lots of heels, but some people had on slip-on sandals that I thought were even more casual than mine. We did not dance, but no one at our table did, either. Music was too loud for conversation, however, so it was kinda boring after awhile. We left around 9:00. (Got home in time for dh to see the end of the Braves' game, LOL!)
Well... I need to s2s and get on my way to see about dmom.
Y'all have a good day.

Re: Waving to visitors Saturday
Love reading of everyone's day! Hello to all!
Dh changed the burnt out fluorescent bulbs in basement and I was finally able to see how badly it needed to be vacuumed down there. So that unplanned cleanup is done! Have decided to call local charity to pick up a weight set and N ordictrak this week. We will miss having the Nordictrak to hang clothes on, but we will adjust.
We have hauled the weights around the country for 30 years or so. DS doesn't want them and DH only used them a few times...time to let them go, I think.
The recent cleanout of in-laws house has me looking at our junk and not wanting to leave it for our kids to have to deal with someday. So out it goes!
