I'm smiling because I'm moving. Although I skipped exercises. I woke up at 6:45 and snuggled with dh until 7:30 when I heard ds come in. I unloaded the dishwasher and we chatted for a little bit before he (and I) headed back to bed.

Have now s2s, tidied the bedroom and am making my tea now (I had used vinegar to clean the kettle overnight so I boiled water to rinse the vinegar out while I was in bed the second time.

The timer mechanism is going on the washer so it had only advanced 2 hours on the time delay. Thankfully, I checked on it when ds was coming through the door so I advanced it to start and it just finished. Last week it got stuck on spin cycle, overheated and I had to shut it down. Really need to get that fixed.

My first 'round' for the morning will be to eat breakfast, dry hair, head over to the plant sale. I'm not needed but will make an appearance for an hour or so.

Good Morning!

I had a slow start to my day (on purpose). I still need to be out the door by 8am like other days of the week (to do MPB AM cards) but Saturday is the one day that I am not in time crunch to have a slew of things done before I leave the house. LO is snuggled up next to DH so I'll get him dressed and serve breakfast when I get back.

DGS16 and I are going to goof around together later today. Our typical outing includes eating together and list buying........with the focus being listening as he talks.

I'm trying to smile this morning. Got a bunch of desk chores done that I left yesterday, and managed to get set up and log in to patient information with the medical place I am using. I printed off all my reports with them so far. That was good, and the lab result that was missing from my report was noted there...

I must get out the door pronto, pick up something vegetable and take to church for funeral. If there is a bunch of people there I will just come home. Not feeling terribly chipper. They are expecting 100+ people and our hospitality person has resigned, our leader said she was handling it, but I don't think she called anyone or emailed for help, just to bring food...so don't know what I'll find down there...

Plodding along here. One step at a time.

I'm smiling because I've already crossed things off my li&t. Was up around 7:30, read the paper quickly and headed out to cleaners, dsis' house and vet to pick up dog meds. Dropped off at cleaners things that I may want to wear for HHD to be clean when we get back.

D Xbil has done a lot at dsis' house but there's still a lot to go. He has a dumpster probably half full and the smell isn't nearly as bad now that textiles are mostly out of there. I need to figure out what to do with the stuff that could be sold - some is junk but an antique dealer might find some decent items there. D bil hasn't done anything in terms of sweeping up etc.

Dmacs has PT appt in 45 minutes and I have a couple of errands to run after I get him back home.

Doing laundry today. I've started to sort stuff into piles. Which meant I had to go into the bedroom. I opened the blinds to let the sun shine in. Saw some spider webs. Grabbed a feather duster, dealt with spider webs and then did some other dusting. So now I have to get back to sorting. Remembered to hunt down the towels this time. Mike tends to "hide" them by putting them over the handle of the vacuum which is in a closet. So the first 3 loads will be towels. 15 altogether. (We have 20.)

Dh thought we could go to the CNE in Toronto today. No way! I can't do laundry and then be expected to walk all over the CNE, so we will do that next Saturday. Tomorrow we are driving down to Niagara Falls.

Mike is currently doing the dishes. He hasn't done any for a couple of days, so he has a counter full to deal with. He usually does them on Friday.

What am I smiling about... the gorgeous sunshine and blue sky here. Even though it's showing all the cobwebs and dust, that's okay. Those cobwebs are now gone and so is most of the dust. Dust is never completely gone, is it?

I'm smiling because it is beautiful weather here!! And I went for a jog with dh and even though my weight is high, my time is consistently staying lower so that 1:20 or so that I cut off my time jogging 2.25 miles is sticking! Yay! I jogged 2.35 miles today.

No, dust is never completely gone, CathyS.

Now, I'm going to get my a.m. routine done while it is still morning. . .Then, I'll start to work on the many projects around here in which I'm behind. . .

Good morning, villagers ~
I'm smiling about another beautiful summer weekend. As much as I don't like the heat, I was worried a couple of weeks ago when it had turned quite chilly (20 degrees lower than normal) and I thought we were losing summer already. It's just not right for Iowa to be chilly in August! Well, no worries about that this week, it will be hot hot hot.

I'm going to try to get out and do some yard work this weekend. I asked DH a few days ago to mow down the weeds between the house and garage so I wouldn't have to wade through so much trying to bring in groceries. (There's a sidewalk, but tall grasses are hanging over it.) He hasn't gotten around to it yet. I'm hoping that if I'm out there picking up trash and such, DH will come out and work with me.

I'll probably have to spray myself with bug stuff, yuck. I guess I'll wear grubby clothes and pretend I'm camping. Set out a camp chair for breaks and keep the ice water handy!

But DH is still sleeping, so I'll keep puttering around the house for awhile.
