Back from another walk around the river (there are bridges!), this time in the opposite direction to see the views in the other direction. Plus the fog has lifted a little bit so we could see 300' out to see (couldn't this morning.)

Off for dinner now. Dh just called ahead and made reservations because the people in the next room were on their balcony and we heard they are heading there for dinner. Didn't want to have to wait or rush out the door to beat them!!!

Happy birthday to Lucylee, harmony, and Sherinjoy. My smart phone is so smart it remembers your names..... Perhaps it will wish y'all a happy birthday as well.. ;)

I am looking forward to my week at the beach. We have a balcony that looks out at the beach, plenty of places to eat out if we choose and a kitchen if we don't. No worries be happy :D I can walk the beach and look for shells, swim in the ocean, rent a paddle board, kayak scooter, jet ski or bike. There are trails to hike, bike paths to explore, and a large wild life reserve to check out. Plenty of places to eat fresh seafood....how many times can I say grouper, grouper, grouper....and if I don't find some served to my liking I can cook it for myself. Sweetie and I plan to enjoy early morning walks on the beach and spectacular sunsets.. No formal attire needed. Rum Collins and a good book whenever... And if Mother Nature decides to mess with my plans I have rain gear pack. If the winds blow too hard we'll move inland and still enjoy the adventure...z. Can you tell I am ready :D

Sounds like a lovely vacation, Cowinkie! Can I stow away in a suitcase and join you? Or. . more like a trunk. LOL!!

Day did not go as planned. But I did. .
x finish the a.m. routine
x made 2 DPCs; had to leave one message
x drove dd15's dfriend home
x tutoring session; it went late b/c we got to talking with each other, which is the point, yes. . . . but it was too late for a jog by the time I got home.
x gassed the van
x made jambalaya and corn bread
x ate dinner w/ dh, ds, and dd15. Dd17 is out with friends
x kitchen is cleaned up

Next:
- quick groc. store run; I forgot to get flavored creamer for our meeting tomorrow a.m.
- type up devotional notes; it's all in my head but it might be good to get it on paper
- type up agenda
- print out: agendas, 1st day snack sign up list (leaders provide food the first day), potential child care staffing assignments

A friend of ds' is going to stay with us tomorrow night b/c he needs to move out of one place but can't move into his new place until Friday. It will be slightly awkward b/c ds is moving out tomorrow afternoon. I believe ds told him to come after dinner since we have dinner guests tomorrow night. Originally, he was going to come tonight, but he worked out a place to stay tonight.

Back from dinner. It was fun to waltz in to the reserved window table, walking past the people in the next room.

Dinner was good. Not outstanding, but good. Dh couldn't finish his ribs and rings. I cleaned my plate of haddock, veggies and mashed potatoes. We went for a walk around the park, then drove back to the seaside diner we went to last night and had ice cream. They have a sampler cone for $1 which was the perfect size for me. I just wanted a taste of ice cream and was worried the regular cone would make me feel sick.

We are back in the lounge waiting for the musician to start up. We'll just stay for one set and then head off to bed at a more reasonable hour tonight.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Adding my birthday wishes to Lucylee and Sherinjoy. It's special to share a birthday with you. I guess I'm the oldest.

Not a thing planned for today. Ran some errands with DH this morning, stopped at bank and grocery for veggies and fruit. After lunch, I just had to sleep.

Been thinking since my med is changed I'd be feeling better, and I think I am mentally, but not physically yet I guess. Was surprised at the overwhelming need to sleep this afternoon. Just gotta be patient.

Thank you all again for the birthday wishes - I so appreciate it.
Harmony - I don't know your age or Lucylee's - I'm 58 today, although I still feel much younger than that inside!

Next up is my anniversary on Sept. 1, which will be 34 yrs. of a great adventure.

Night all.
