Amen to that! To do today well, I need to stay on track and focused.

x confirmed ingredients are on hand for Indonesian peanut chicken tonight

I need to leave in 5 minutes. I'll be at the church for about 4-5 hours, I'm guessing. I think there will be a gap between activities and I hope to run to the groc. store for a few items that can sit in the car while I help serve food at the funeral. Then, I need to:

1. finish ds' room
2. take dd15 shopping for school supplies? Maybe dd17 can do this
3. make dinner; 4 guests may be here?
4 finish a.m. routine, of course. ..
5. Find the carpet in the play room so it can be cleaned tomorrow.
6. exercise - I didn't go this a.m. The time was too tight. Weight has stabilized at a new high. <---- How I feel about this.

Off to make a lunch and do teeth and face care. I should be leaving in 1 minute. . . Ack!!

Morning, helia.

I became adaptable and changed up my usual morning schedule because HRH had only a certain time of day to give me. Without him, I can't change two sets of lightbulbs at my parents' house that require two people (and hopefully people who have done it together before and figured it out). So I spent an hour of my early morning at the other house today. After his light fixtures help (and capturing a grasshopper - go figure), he left and I went on to a load of laundry, boxes put-away, work in the small bathroom and hanging the bathtub mat to dry. Made notes of what else needs to be done when dd15 and I spend another hour later.

Although I was behind when I got back here, I considered that my laundry for the day and am almost caught up. Just a few more declutter decisions and exercise next.

A quick rundown of the timers at my house - The oldest greenest cheapest one that looks like this is still running like a top. Newer classic Tomato was bought to replace the magnet one, which bit the dust. Someday, I'm going to get a Talking Timer again ... ... for old timer's sake.

Happy New Year!

I'm up and at it. Bed stripped and remade, the sheets in the washer (they just finished), the pork chops in marinade and the salad dressing made. Plus all those dishes washed up and a grocery list made.

I've also received a note from someone wanting to buy the wardrobe today. I gave them until 3 p.m. and must pay full asking price (50% of retail). Otherwise, they'll have to wait until 8 a.m. on Saturday and I'll do an auction among those interested in it.

Still have to s2s, eat breakfast, hang out the sheets and get out the door to the church office with enough time to pick up the nametags from my church first to update them.

Moving day for us. And I might be driving. DH wants to drive out of park to the dump station and we will make the decision then. I'm hoping he lets me drive as a quick move makes his chest hurt and he can't get his breath for a while.

Call from Dr's nurse confirmed that Dr. wants DH to have CT here next week. Before that he wants results of blood test he has ordered. We can get blood test done in a town about 7 miles from where we will be parked vs. driving 30 miles to big town. So that is a plus. I've contacted that clinic and we can do tests tomorrow am (fasting) and they will fax results to Dr. in AZ.

Next up - breakfast and meds, showers and put away the rest of the ooze. Estimated drive away time is in 1 1/2 hours.

Have some errands to run today. Also, getting dh's clothes ready to pack tonight for his trip.

Dh and his motorcycle friend will leave here tomorrow and go to our hometown. Saturday morning they will meet 8 others for breakfast and head out. They will be travelling from KS to Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Florida, Georgia ,Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and back to Kansas. Dh and his friend will travel at least 3600 miles. This adventure has been in the planning stages for months. I have 13 pages front and back with maps, routes, campgrounds, hotels, all the guys phone #, etc. One of their highlights is that around Sweetwater, TN they will be riding the Dragon Tail. It is about 13 miles with over 300 curves. After that leg of the trip, 3 of the guys will head back home and the other 7 will continue. Dh will be gone at least 12 days.

Guess I better get a shower and hit it.............

Good Morning!

Some days I got it......and some days I don't. Today started off as "I don't got it" type of day. I slept for 3 hours last night then spent the rest of the night watching episodes of Good Wife (season 4 was just released on Amazon Prime).

I did manage to get bare basics done this morning and LO delivered to his classroom while sharing smiles all around. Then I came home and stalled out again.

I'm thinking about forcing myself to be still and watch TV as if I was physically sick. My theory is it won't take long for me to tire of it and be eager to return to my normal doings. I acknowledge that isn't a good plan......but it is my plan for now.......I wonder if it will work?

Happy Anniversary Ivy & Dh!

Today is errands to pick up Rx for dh. He also has to get his test strips. A couple of months ago he got a letter from Medicare that they were starting a new mail order program for testing supplies and for medicare to cover one has to use their approved suppliers. He had been getting his mailed thru Walgreens, but they are not on the mail order list anymore. Medicare will still pay, but he has to pick up supplies. We also have to go to Tax Office to renew one of the car tags. The other one is due next month.

After we get home I will finish my focus work in the main bathroom. That will take care of another of my Special Projects cards!

That timer is just like the one we have Harriet, in white! The tomato is cute! Lilac, wow...that is a long trip! MT, safe driving today and good thoughts for dh's tests! Kathryn, you've got a lot done towards your future move. Helia, congratulations on the GG student house guest! You and your family will be wonderful hosts! Hi Nancy. ((OKay))! I get stuck like that, too, once in a while.

OKay, what you're describing is an "Attitude Adjustment". They take many forms but are never what's expected. If you didn't get enough sleep, you may need to take an Attitude Adjustment Nap, which is a time-honored tweak that's lots of help. (((hugs))) Rest, rest.

Lilac, what a trip for your dh! Does he take a lot of photos on these trips? I wish him a flying-bug-free motorcycle vacation.

Oh, and SPEAKING of grasshoppers (yes, actually I was, earlier), my too-long-list friend served canned Glory brand seasoned green beans to her IN-LAWS {yes, in-laws, how bad is this story going to be) and there was a big super-green-bean-colored grasshopper, perfectly intact, sitting up in her brother-in-law's serving. Her mother-in-law (yes, it gets worse) is the one who noticed it on his plate. See, and we think we have problems. Bring the smelling salts, homemaker down.
