Computer is getting sorta fidgety again...

Y'all know my shoe situation... I pay very little attention to them, preferring my beat-up Sperry's or Nike's or flip flops... and then it is time to dress up for something and I have to PANIC. Gotta find some closed-toe heels that I can stand to wear longer than 1 hour on Sunday morning.

So glad to find that helia's ds's room has suffered from inattention too. Y'all also know the situation that developed in ds's room here. * sigh *
Yes, I suppose it is recommended to have carpets cleaned annually. Unfortunately, w/dh here, that ain't happening.

Can't wait to hear more about your new method for tracking time, OKay!

Good to see elly popping in!!!

Excuse me for not replying personally to everyone! Y'all know you are all in my head!
Tomorrow is another day.

Hello Everyone! Cuop today has been interesting! I'm posting between raindrops; we just had a storm go past making it necessary to unplug tv, computer, etc., and there may be another coming....

Lilac, I'm glad you talked to your dh and hope you hear from him soon again.
Cowinkie, wishing you and your dh a good vacation. This weekend is supposed to be good with very little rain chance and on through the week till close to next weekend.
Harriet, WTG on the work in your bedrooms!
Helia, also WTG on all your work getting ready for GG!
Kathryn, good luck with your sale!
OKay, let us know how your timing goes!

I got a little bit of weekly cleaning done today, as well as paid some bills and moved a chair from office to living room. Dh thought it might be easier on his back to sit in. I will finish weeklies tomorrow.

*** Took a short break to fix supper --- nothing fancy, beef chop suey and rice, but it tasted good.

Thunder starting again...

lucylee, remember that we have 2 dogs and a long-haired cat in the house, so our carpets and area rugs can get pretty. . . gnarly. :?

Today I had great luck at yard sales, found some new scrub pant with a stripe that look like a jogging suit pant will work great for walks! Found a shelf to replace the one that broke for the top nest boxes.
I got my flu shot.
Delivered a doz. eggs.

Groc. shopping is done.
I made deviled eggs.
I containerized the baby stuff and got that rounded up from various points in the house. I am glad to have that done.

I have washed 2 loads of clothes, plus a throw rug...
went to restaurant, bank, and dmil's...
ate supper...
and I've been reading the paper some.
Am I a bad grandma to just let dgs play in his pack-n-play? He seems very content. Eventually he throws everything out and go throw it all back in. That's our favorite game, LOL.

Dh called to tell me they are in our hometown and at our friends home. Our friend had chicken and pork on the grill with veggies and iced down beer. Dh was relieved to be there after the tire fiasco and it was over 100 today.

Dd1 dropped by to show me her new haircut and highlighting. Dd2 had gotten a new haircut and highlighting on Wednesday. I just had a trim on Wednesday and do my own coloring.

I am sleepy but I really need to accomplish something before bedtime. I finally rounded up my jewelry that has been disorganized since the move. I need to organize that. I also need to sort thru paperwork.

Dgs9 has his first football game on Sunday afternoon at 5:30. Dgs7 starts his ballgames next Saturday.

I can see September flying by already.

Gee, I wish I could go to Kathryn's sale!

Oh, I know, Lilac, flying by!

Thanks for all the honesty here. That includes every honest timetable, from how frequently chores are accomplished, to how long it takes or (perhaps most helpful) how long it may have been since the last time. All of it is so helpful and it's reassuring that there is plenty of variance.

When we realized that day about 2 1/2 years ago, that my ddad's scary too-long trek away from the house was a deal-breaker, and that oh yes he must move in with us, it all happened so fast. Very little was done to the small bedroom and dstepson helped us just quickly MOVE everything as fast as possible to make my ddad comfortable in dd's old room. Every attention was given to that room then, from the better furnishings to better deep-cleaning.

So I don't think this small bedroom has had a full carpet cleaning in, maybe 4 yrs? Of course, much of that was spent as my quilt-making studio, when the worst thing to fall on the floor was probably a pin. HRH has gone over the floor to touch up a couple spots with oxi-clean spray in advance of renting the carpet machine.

We have rented a machine to clean carpets, part at a time, ever since a carpet/upholstery company we hired made a mess of a couch here. We were so disappointed in that day, that I kinda got a mental block against letting companies do it. HRH is so meticulous with the carpet cleaning, and he likes doing it. Probably should buy our own, but storing it would be a bit of a problem. Remember how SuzLew loved to spot-clean with her Scooba robot?

Wonderful comments about dd15's school situation - thank you all, and also thanks for the smiles.

Reorganized my checklist and printed it out.
I think that it must be in my head that if I ever get the "perfect" schedule printed out, THEN I will will be able to follow my daily and weekly routines, and life will just be grand...

I found a planner for 25 c. At a yd. Sale today this is working great for notes I purged from
some reading.
We've had dinner, I unloaded the dishes and have been clearing the counters have about half of
it done. ~sigh~ I was hoping to get more done on it. I got side-tracked looking for a piece of paper with a phone number on it.
W/out success. IYKWIM
