Australians elected a new government today. So things are changing here. Thankfully not as great an annihilation as might be feared, as any good government needs a good opposition.
Victory speech underway as I type this.
Here is offering a prayer that wisdom and sanity prevail, that he can operate well.
It is surprising how many of our top leaders were Rhodes Scholars. Tony Abbott - newest leader - is another.
Today I went to a Reiki 1 Workshop. So perhaps it marks a new beginning to me too.

Changes on Saturday
Just begin.

Re: Changes on Saturday
Lynlee, I'm glad you got us started today. I was sitting here thinking of a theme, wondering where dh is, and debating whether to text someone else to take care of gift presentation duties at the bat mitzvah this morning.
I guess I'll jump in the shower and get going. Should be at temple at 10:10.

Waving to twins.
I believe its an important time of year for you too. Sending blessings as set forth through this season.
re mean girls. I do think years 9 - 10 are the worst for -itch factor. Often worst with their "friends".
re shoes. I must try the sharpie cure.
I have a shoe thing. They must fit, be comfortable, and I will buy them when I find ones that my foot shape and needs. I have "square toe shape" and a high instep so am hard to please. Also - I like a pliable and cushion sole. Mind you I only look if my existing shoes or sneakers are wearing down. I wish their soles lasted longer.
I need go tend my dishes, push fluids, and get to bbr.
Election blurb continues. Local seat is not called, rather controversial businessman who has created his own party is shaking up the blue ribbon seat. I hope he misses out. Sometimes sensible, often not, speaking stupidities.
have a great day everyone.

Re: Changes on Saturday
Good morning! I'm outside on the newer part of the patio and enjoying the sunrise, cool morning breezes sipping cocoa coffee. Woke up with a low s8 I enjoyed a banana muffin I'd made up last night.
ACK! I heard raccoons in the night but the hens are all fine today.

Thank you for the seasonal wishes, Lynlee!
I am s2s-ed and have walked ddogs. Leaving soon for temple, and I'll get a MCD biscuit on the way. I have dh's car in the garage - I don't know where he went because there's no Torah study this a.m. at temple.

Good Morning!
Harriet - I too enjoy seeing results of timing the cards by others. I find the information very helpful.
Although I'm probably the only one who finds timing this particular task useful or helpful.........it took me 37 minutes this morning to process 50 jalapeno peppers from garden to freezer.
Fitbit says I slept 8 hours and 26 minutes last night. I believe it. That has to be the longest stretch of sleep in .....forever. Twice this week I only slept around 3 hours (in 24 hour period). Once was because I just zoned out and watched an entire season of Good Wife within a 24 hour period
The other time was taking DMom to ER - she called Wednesday @ 9:30pm and decided she needed to go right then. She was diagnosed with phlebitis and came home with meds. ANYway - I appreciate last nights long deep sleep and feel well rested now.
I'm out the door in 10 minutes to go spend time with DGS16. His current favorite thing to do is go to the mall. UGH. You know how much I detest shopping. Strolling around in the mall is a close second. However, spending time with DGS16 trumps my dislike of that activity, so I'm going to work on my attitude toward shopping....and strolling aimlessly. Note to self - it is not aimless strolling, it is slowly walking while DGS16 talks non-stop. Repeat that to self as needed.

Re: Changes on Saturday
Dd1 and I have walked. Then we went to the Farmer's Market. I bought a small watermelon. There were many tables loaded with baked goods and they looked yummy but I can't bring myself to pay the higher prices for things that I could bake myself. Dd1 has bought watermelons several times and each one has been wonderful, according to her. I hadn't been to the FM this summer, but her and her dh have been taking his mother.
My dm called first thing this morning and the first thing she said was "you woke up alive". I know with my diabetes, she really worries when I am by myself. I feel the same way and therefore, I tend to make sure that my bs is running higher.
I kept waking up during the middle of the night. When dh is here I usually only wake up if I need a potty run. When he is gone, I just don't sleep well.
Our yard is looking rather dry, even though the sprinklers run every other day. It has just been really hot and windy lately which really stresses it.
Okay, your grandchildren are blessed to have you for a grandma.

Waving to Twins', Lynlee, Lilac, Nancy, OKay, and Harriet and Dee, when they arrive, too.
It's foggy here, which is lifting up slowly to reveal a sunny day.
I'll work on snail mail and stories today. Need to dust the offices, do laundry, and bathroom rugs, too.
Have a super Saturday.

Re: Changes on Saturday
Home from bat mitzvah - I didn't stay for luncheon downstairs. Going to finish reading the paper and need some real down time for today. May get back to a.m. routine and other routines later. I told dh I'd spend time out with him tomorrow.
