"The Last Tango in Halifax" is a PBS series for one hour on Sun. nights at 8 p.m. We saw it for the first time tonight, which I think was the premier of it, as I'd seen it advertised this week on-line where I sign out of one of my pages. It was a very cute show about elderly love and their modern day adult children and grandchildren. The couple who knew each other in school, reunited through FB and emails, to meet years later. He's a widower and she's a widow. They were great actors. We'll watch it next week, as they decided at the end of this show tonight, to marry. Boy, did their adult children's mouths drop open!
Been looking up how to jump start the card file system and retool everything. I have my cards, from a long time ago, all the day, number/date, monthly, and alphabet dividers. I know I can find info here at this forum, too. I'm getting tired of using calendar reminders, feel with a day planner, cards, a to do list, why do overkill? Too many systems can also overload the brain, I'm thinking, too.
This weekend's gone so fast!
I hope Mr. Emptynester gets better soon, too.
Goodnight and take care and sleep well, Everybody.

waving back to Harriet. Yes - MRI was yesterday - Sunday. Fracture Clinic was today. She would have sent me for an MRI also ... so will have to wait for results . I get results from pvt doc next monday. I'll take results with me to PT for fracture. And back to next fracture clinic in 3 months. And to orthopeadic screening appointment next month.
She wondered about me going to see a pvt doc as well ... and I said I'd wondered about the exercises with additional tendon problems ... She reassured that they were the same exercises. Was surprised that no one had told me that. I'd said I was reassured by pvt doc about hosp physio program. We agreed on that no cost physio was a plus. In case anyone wonders - all expenses have been covered by govt health - medicare, except a $5.60 copay on perscriptions. pvt doc and radiology bulk billed as I am a pensioner - that surprised hosp doc. As did getting mri on a sunday.
Saturday was reiki workshop in the country. I need practice for the next 3 weeks. Drop on over if you would like to be a guinea pig.
Stayed up late watching election news. Looks like we have mining magnate, holiday resort owner who chased away pga tournament from his golf course by putting a huge TRex on it, founder of his own political party named after himself after he was denied membership of another party, or got too outspoken with contentious views as our new local member. Not sure if the recount is finished, and whether postal / absentee votes are needed to be counted before it is called officially. I just looked it up. It is still "in doubt with Palmer ahead." Preferences will decided it. Someone needs more than 50% of the vote in the end.
Yesterday. driving is painful but ok. I came home via beach I took the KiC's to - no carparks so drove on to big shopping center. Bought rest of gift for dgd almost 11. Ate and was windswept on a beautiful sunny day at the river spot we also stopped at.Then home with out a walk on the beach. I will get there soon. I promise ddog and I a walk on the beach.
Today. Caught buses to and from hospital as ca parking is impossible - unless I sneak a car park at pdoc's premises.
had a rest, and rang dm. gave the dog a bone. I just let him in and got to him with a babywipe so he didn't need to wipe his face on the couch.
Just begin. Living this day, today Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do. Look for the good in all.
