:D Did yoga/stretching this a.m. and started off to a good start by doing that. Will try to walk later. Sitting in the office chair's uncomfortable, so will baby step being up and down today. Yeah, for Icy Hot Roll-On! :D

So far, my experience with the blue-blocking glasses at night has been good. They cost $7 or 8 dollars on amazon. I'll look them up and maybe post a link. I can do most things with them on for my evening routines and am trying to post now to prove to myself whether I can do that. It's hard to see blue so I was amused that I had to squint to see whether the light on my dishwasher had come on when I was starting it. Also if I do glance at tv, people in blue shirt look like they are wearing gray. Otherwise, very workable. Reading in the evenings with them on works well. I have dd wearing them from 8 to 9 in the evening, which is her bedtime. She is putting up with it so far and thinks she is sleeping better when she does use them. I'm pretty sure I am. HRH is totally resistant, and he is probably the one who would benefit most.

The book I'm reading is Great Sleep Reduced Cancer a scientific approach by Richard L. Hansler, Ph.D. The cancer part is that mellatonin is a proven cancer fighter in many studies. So if you can increase your own natural melatonin production at the hours it will help you (by blocking the blue/violet part of the light spectrum), theoretically you would be less prone to cancers. There are some studies which seem to show this, such as the nurses' study, in which more nurses who work the night shift are more prone to get breast cancer and the studies of blind women, who of course have no electric lights effect whatsoever, and have half the breast cancer rates of other women. It's interesting stuff.

LOL I'm not sure which font color is right... ... going by the letters... ... will see in the a.m.

30 minutes workout so far today.

Finished 2nd pint of water while exercising.

Now it's time for a protein smoothie with fruit.

Here's the link to the blue-blocking glasses that were recommended in some articles I read. (Many really high-quality blue-blockers cost a lot more, of course.) I noticed many of the reviews from customers mentioned that they bought them for the same reason I did. They also make this slightly less expensive one, which some people find will fit over their glasses. (Some say they don't fit over theirs.) I also bought orange bulbs to replace our night-light bulbs and found that to be very inexpensive, easy change that may be good for us.

:D I did this:

- Yoga/stretching
- Walked 1/2 hour
- Did a few sit-down hoe-downs

I'm doing well at eating at least 5 fruits/and or veggies daily, which is bringing down the weight bit by bit. :D

:D I ate healthy today, did a lot of running to the restroom for exercise, am feeling 100% now, :D but didn't do any yoga, etc... I did 1 load of laundry, dusted combat style (which, to me, means very thoroughly) and was busy today. Sometimes I take a day off from exercise for a rest. Today I wasn't feeling so well, for several hours, so resting, other than the dusting when I felt better, was all I could do. But it's something. :)

I came back to exercise that afternoon and finished the total workout, about 50 minutes, omitting the leg stretch which is so hard for me. Getting that much done in one day would really get me along the way to enough exercise each week. Other days could be shorter.

I did look up the blog of the scientist in our general area (turns out he's not in my county but another) who writes partially on circadian rhythms. Turns out he writes about the circadian rhythms of ALL animal life, not even necessarily concentrating on mammals! So between articles on mammoths and insects  it was hard going to find his opinions on blue-blocker glasses for us humans, but I did find some. He's generally happy with them, says they are probably the safest method of adjusting to following the daylight/night pattern of a person's area (and he does think we should all try to do that for health). But he says don't forget to get that bright light first thing in the morning too, hopefully the sun. Of course, in dd's case, it has to be electric light because the sun doesn't come up for a long time after her alarm.
